Metallix TD - Tower Defense is a cute Japanese tower defence type strategy game. In this defense game you need to defend your base by defeating all mechanical animals before they reach to the power source. You have to build towers in order to defeat your enemies. One of the better TD games I've played!
i got to lvl 10. Here is a hint. at the first level get only one of the weakest machine and keep upgrading it. when i died the machine had max movement and max range. the others where i think 3/5 and i think 2/4.
I've made it to Lvl 21. Had to learn to move towers fast so they can attack at more than one location. Move the towers with the enemy so they keep blasting. Built mostly cannons (4) and one laser. Got creamed on 21.
I made it to level 22. I kept with lasers most of the time, but after level 20 a huge machine comes on and takes up more than just the one square wide. My lasers got destroyed :-(
I've been to level 20. Only use the laser with one attack upgrade can handle level 1-4. 5 u need a green machine. Level 10 u need to move around fast to hit it contiuesly inorder to pass. Also u'll need 2 more little machine with a attack upgrade if u can.
Level 21 is fun.
You can get to 17 with only a cannon but you must plan your moves.
Currently I've got to 29 (267000pts) but on Metallix home site there is someone over 550000. !

this game is fun, but took away my whole weekend...... I can't get past level 20...
Wow, got to Lvl 33 can't get past it! (274,882pts). The damn taradactles or whatever eat me up. Any tips or help?

Be prepared for major addiction. I get to level 40. 2 lasers fully upgraded except for speed, 1 fire. Keep upgrading fire, especially quanity. Fun game . . . for those that don't cheat. Impossible to get past 41 (I think)
Muahaha! I beat level 41..!.. with cheat engine...ahem.
Anyway, as far as I can see, you need at least 2 fire tower upgraded fully, except for power. And don't neglect the cannon: once fully upgraded, it can dice big mobsters easily if they stay in one place, which the fire cannon helps with.
Laser cannon are for big, large armies of weak noob mechanics.
Cannon is for killing of powerful mechanics.
Fire is for slowing down both weak, but fast, and strong, but slow.
IMHO, you need 2 fire towers, with "not much" power, a few movement points if you can afford it, and the rest fully upgraded.
You need at least 2 laser and cannon towers, fully upgraded, except maybe for movement.
Do not concentrate on upgrading just one tower, except for levels with tough bosses. Remeber, towers don't kill easily even when fully upgraded - they need time to finish the business, which is why you should invest into fire towers. And if you have any money left-over: a great investment are cannons.
Other than that, just want to add that the last level is a straight line, with unknown metalix. That means you're not going to be moving a lot. You will need heavy fire power.

Managed to get pretty far with one laser. Lvl 25 or 26. Bought, upgraded, and sold cannons to pay for laser ups. It can be a huge gamble, but using the shape of an enemy path against them can prove to be an advantage.
