Just for interest, the text on the back of the painting says something like "the hint for the pass is the cute thing" - I guess the only "cute" thing in the room is the girly clock!

the sentence (the back of the painting ) means password= the lovely thing in the room. (and that means the pink clock)
and the rest of the part ,you mentioned in your post.
how many hours are they? 12(o'clock) to 4(o'clock) is 4 hours.
I got the Good End. Are there more endings?
yes,diana. if you don't hit the white circle,you get a bad ending.
if the author hit the white circle,he feel refresh again.(because in japan,the pressure from the colleagues or bosses are quite high. so they sell some things are hit by those "high pressure people".
All my troubles have to do with lack of understanding Japanese! :-)

Go right click on the top drawer and get purple card(12->4).
Click on the second drawer and you have to order in which the numbers should be.
Click on pillow on bed to get the green card.
click on space behind bed to get the hammer.
Go right
Go right, hit crack in the wall to get the blue card.
The combination is 491
get the handle
go back to main screen,
use handle on door, open door and youre out!!
Now guess what, i played the game this afternoon with my 5-years old (young)son, who playes and loves games as Samorost and Haluz a lot.As he didn´t understand me explaining him the code (as for he still can´t read the hours of the clock), but he started adding all the numbers we found before for the code and came to 36 (12-4-6-3-5-6), now 3 and 6 is 9,and the clock in the game showed 9 o´clock.
Coincidence? luck? I don´t know, but i tell you one thing, this boy is a hell of an escaper and only 5 years old........be aware!!!!!
@Shuchun, i actually never looked behind the painting and i even never needed it as Thomas mentioned the clock and that´s how i got to 491, pure luck i guess

You have to smash the big white ball, by clicking on the hammer and clicking on the ball twice, to get a good end. If you don't smash the ball, you get a bad end.
The code is 491..that was easy..too easy

i really envy that you speak so many languages. my mother language is Chinese. i can only speak english but not well enough. i almost forgot most of the japanese because i graduated from school years ago. i rarely use japanese except playing game and visiting japan.

Version 1: (for ppl who like loooong)
1. clik right once, open 1st drawer and get card. clik pillow and get card. clik space between bed + wall and get hammer.
2. go right twice, clik hammer and clik crazck in wall. get card.
3. go to the thign w/ the numbers and stuff and the numbers are: 491
3. get handle.
4. go left 3 times, clik handle and clik door. clik door. ur out!!
VERSION 2: (for ppl who like shortcuts)
1. go right 3 times.
2. go to number thing and the numbers are: 491
3. get handle, go left three times and clik handle then door. YOUR FREE!!!
the text behind the painting says "something cute is the hint for the password".
by breaking the sphere you get the good end.
if you dont you get the bad end.

Good Ending
#1 turn right once and click pillow. pick up green card
#2 open top drawer and get pink card
#3 look behind bed and get hammer
#4 turn right and use hammer on big silver ball
#5 turn right and click on crack in wall with hammer and get green card
#6 turn right twice and open bottem drawer. note pink > blue > green
#7 go to safe and enter in 4-9-1 cause if you look at a clock and its 12 and u add 4 you get 4 and so on.
#8 get handle, put on door and get outta there!
Bad Ending
same as good ending but dont break big silver ball
