So far I have: meat, magic wand, key, glasses, golden axe, magic water book, one pumpkin eye, firewood.

put meat in fire place on the rack....then click on the magic wand....you have to find the 2 books....the key for the water book is under the plant...then you open the book and ckick on the drop of water,,,,after click the wand then click the water drop beside it...then go where the fire is and put out the fire then take the fire book....with the wood put in fire place then with wand start fire then click meat

do the same thing for the fire ...open the book then click the fire then click wand then fire ..you will have choice from fire to water whenever you want....after you have all that ....click on meat also to cook it give it to the cat ..then take cage ..after put eyes on pumpkin then the door will appear

I cannot get the fire bit to work. I have opened the firebook but it is blank, not like the water book. When I click on the wand it still shows water, not fire. What am I doing wrong?

Walkthrough for the Simple Minded
1.Get meat from plate.
2.Get magic wand from fireplace.
3.Go left and get old the axe.
4.Go right 3 times.
5.Get glasses from bird.
6.Lift plant and get key.
7.Split pond with old the axe and get the axe of gold.
8.Split log with axe of gold.
9.Go left twice and put firewood and meat in fireplace.
10.Go left again and use key on chest to get magic book on water.
11.Open magic book on water and click on water drop.
12.Look at magic wand and click on water drop.
13.Click on fire and get magic book on fire.
14.Open magic book on fire and read with glasses then click on flame.
15.Go right once and look at magic wand and click on flame. Then click on the firewood. Get the meat after it is cooked.
16.Light candle with magic wand and get pumpkin eye.
17.Go right and put meat in cat bowl.
18.Go right and use magic wand with water on pond and get owl eye.
19.Go left and click on pumpkin. Then put on eyes.
20.Get the cat in the cage and go out the door.
