Hey Diana, I'm stuck at the third 'dot', can't figure out the code for the box.
Make sure you talk to everyone. Look at the pink book in the library. Then go back to where the picture of the mountain is. Look out the window, it will lighten the picture. The book in the library will tell you the order in which to click the frame. That will give you a code.
Since I can't read the dialog. Just make sure you show the paper to everyone.

If you read the pink book, it gives you an arrow sequence: up, right, right, left, down.
Go back to the scene where the picture of the mountain is on the left side. Click the window on the right. It will shine light upon the picture. If you click the frame up, you will see a number. Click the right side, get another number, etc. That is the code for the box.

when i click the frame there is no numbers that show up at all in the picture
Has the picture turned from the blue hue to a yellow hue? I know the frame won't tilt to show you numbers unless the light is shining on it.

Make sure you talk to everyone and possibly show them the note. Then read the pink book and go back to the window. You can't look out the window until you've talked to everyone and read the book, I believe.

All I can get is the note we all start with anyway...I made it to the second dot on the map, I've showed everyone the note and read the blue book...my mouse changes over the pink book, but I can't read it. My painting doesn't change(still blue) and I can't click anywhere on the glass in the hallway to get anything else to happen:(...
Have talked to 1 on the first dot, 3 on the second (and shown the note), seen the picture(blue), read blue book and can select pink book and window but nothing happens when I click them. Please what am I missing!!
there are two endings in this game
one get gold from the storehouse
2nd ending get 3 things from the room where the blue face cat preparing tea for the detective.
highlight the three notes but dont flip them , talk everyone as usual,and check the blue book and you can find there is a secret safe in the reception room(on the wall)

thanks shuchun, but talked to everyone, with and without notes selected, read blue book, repeated it all and repeated again- can´t flip the notes, can´t read pink book and so can´t see picture yellow or numbers!!

for the first ending,
first,you have to click the notes, click the "about item" and then click the notes two times. after that i think you have already flipped the notes.
after you flip the notes, you start to talk to everyone....and can read the pink book......
i played both endings if i knew about that whole blue book thing i would have been done alot sooner but thanks for the information shuchun it helped alot and diana also thank you 25517 is the code for ending 1 thanks again
