the password is a little confusing!
after you find 5 numbers from the book shelf,change the "4" into "5".
the picture is pointing to the step in the original screen... there seems to be some kind of grey thing on it but i cant get it... i have various books and what looks like part of a key

try to click the books in the book shelf and you can see numbers.
turns out that key is a comb.... combine the thread and the comb... for what is apparently a pointlessly tangled mess
oh ok now i see it... so i got like 2,62,4 and were supposed to make that a five digit number?

right so how exactly are we supposed to do that?
and did you happen to find a use for that orange, or a way to get the thing on the step?
Ok, back. I stopped when I wrapped the thread around the comb. Hmmm, I guess I need to keep looking at those books!

I'm stuck...I got two books, an orange, a comb with thread tangled in it, and a silver rod thingy.
Nvm.
combine the comb and string and stick together and use it under the bed you get a red key then your out short game
You notice how these games all use the same "locked door rattling" sound byte?
Did it without help and boy is my clicking finger worn.
@shuchun oops I correct that, your hint to change 4 to 5 helped.
There are 2 endings
1) use red key to open the door and enjoy your orange in the park
2) put the yellow book at the right bottom of the shelf and the secret door is opened in front of the stairs
open the red book and put the orange in the book, you will get the other code
input the code in the safe again you will get blue key
use blue key on the secret door ----special ending(read comic book in the castle)
