Hello, I think the letter was in the bin
then you have to view it with the magnifying glass, and cut it open with the knife
I had a white pkg. that turned into a letter and a magnyfying glass and a pen I think

Skrewdriver is on the right side of the bookshelves in the bedroom.
I wander what the candle is for cant move it,but they seem to be a brick thing sticking out.
I opened the brick with the crowbar
found a hammer

The crow bar is in the sofa. Click on the right corner, when you view it in front and then click the line where the seat and the back of the sofa meet. Hope you understand.

Me,too. I can put the paper in front of the machine in the bathroom, but then it goes back in my inventory.
have a crayon but don't know how to use it - it's probably for blank paper

You need something to get the scissors from behind the sofa. you need a longer arm..;)

I think I used the crowbar for the scissors
the scissors did something to the paper because my scissors is gone
the copy machine in the bathroom works got some kinda code
out - easy after you get the code
im getting ahead of my self or something but for the x at the fire place maybe we need to open box tried crowbar and hammer couldnt open it

This is very hard >.< I've got a key but still haven't used the crayon or matches, and can't figure out what to do with candle or 'box' in bedroom (which i can't even find) lol the sink is suspicious, and I don't know if I'm missing rooms out with the views (like, is there a toilet?) but tis fun game :)

Hi there...not a box that is in the bathroom but the box that appears under candle..
it took me forever to find the scissors but once i found them, it only took me about 30 seconds to get out

Hi. First time poster, and stuck as usual. Very nice ppl here. I've been hooked on these games for a while now. I'm at the pc and I can't change my numbers. Also, I still can't open that box in the closet. I've tried the crowbar several times. Any suggestions?

Did everything as far as the fireplace.
Couldn't figure out where to click to zoom in on where the X was on the laptop.
So here's the walk through as far as I got:
- Click above door to get into apartment.
- When above dining area, click under table and get MAGNIFYING GLASS.
This will allow you to 'examine' things in your inventory.
- Click on wall next to right arm of couch.
- Click on gap of floor between the couch and wall.
- Click on line where back cushion and seat cushion meet. Get CROWBAR.
- Go back to full view of couch. Click on wall behind couch.
- Use crowbar to get SCISSORS. Zoom out above dining area again.
- Click arrow in bottom right corner of screen to go to room with desk and fireplace. Click on desk to zoom in.
- Click on all the drawers -- because I know you want to -- and find they're all empty.
- Click on wastebasket next to desk and get BALL OF PAPER. DO NOT ZOOM OUT YET!
- Click on gap of floor between desk and wall and grab the HAMMER.
- Zoom back out and go to the kitchen.
- Zoom in on basin of water -- pretty shimmery picture...zoom out and click on left side of screen to turn toward oven.
- On the top left corner of stovetop, you'll see part of a little white and red box. Grab it. That's your BOX OF MATCHES.
- Zoom out, go to bedroom.
- Click bookcase to zoom in on it, then click the gap of floor between the right side of the bookcase and wall.
- Grab the SCREWDRIVER.
- Zoom out to full view of bedroom and click on bed.
- Click on right pillow and get the KNIFE.
- Click on closet so you see the closet door and some of the bed. Click on the wall, close to the bed.
- Grab the CRAYON.
- Zoom out to view of closet and bed, click on closet to go in it.
Now we're going to mess around in the inventory...
- Click on MAGNIFYING GLASS and drag it over the BALL OF PAPER.
Notice it becomes an ENVELOPE.
- Click on KNIFE and drag it over the ENVELOPE to open it. You now have a PIECE OF WHITE PAPER.
- Click on the SCISSORS and drag them over the PIECE OF WHITE PAPER. Notice it's been cut in half.
- Click on the CRAYON and drag it over the paper.
I'm not sure if this really does anything, but I did it and it seemed to work out well that way.
Now leave the paper alone.
- Click on the MAGNIFYING GLASS and drag it over the BOX OF MATCHES.
You now have a single MATCH out of the box.
- Click the MATCH and drag it over the BOX OF MATCHES.
You now have a LIT MATCH.
Since we're in the closet, we'll start there...
- Click the LIT MATCH and drag it to the tip of the candle on top of the box of bricks.
Watch the pretty cutscene of a candle being lit by a match. Lovely.
You can now see the box of bricks clearly in the light.
- Grab your CROWBAR and pry out the portruding square of bricks in the bottom left side of the box.
OMG! It's a lockbox.
- Zoom out and go to the bathroom.
- Zoom in on the wooden box by the tub.
- Click on your SCREWDRIVER to remove the screws.
Voila! A cheap looking printer-copier thing.
- Take your PIECE OF PAPER and insert it into the machine.
Listen to the obnoxious clicking...and get the page when it comes out. Twice in a row I've gotten the number '47'. It may be the same, it may not.
- Zoom out and return to the room with the laptop. Zoom in on the laptop.
- Click on the CODE PAGE and drag it to the laptop to insert the code.
You will see a picture of the right side of the fireplace next to the desk with an 'X' in the back corner of the base.
That's as far as I got before I gave up. Ten to one, I was only a few steps from escaping. But it's six in the morning where I live and I haven't slept yet.

You were almost done !
- The CRAYON (pencil) is completely useless (in this game;), so :
"- Grab the CRAYON" is not necessary.
Also, you don't need to :
"- Click on gap of floor between the couch and wall."
This is just to trick those who think there will be something !
The fireplace you see in the computer is almost white and therefore is in the room with the couch !
As you have a hammer and as X marks the place as usual, you're close to the end !
And out!!!! Great game!!! The author created a great gaming experience...especially for a first game! At the end I had a Homer Simpson "doh" moment...was trying to smash the marble on the wrong fireplace!!!!! LOL!

go to the fireplace in the dining room. click on the right hand side of it. and use your hammer to break the point shown with X on the laptop. it should crack then use ur hammer again (i think) and hit the same place, u will find a KEY and you are out
