hi just got here...

I had to reload the game 4 times before it would let me change the scenes.

I think the book is to let you know to look at the bookshelf.

SPOILER:

quite easy game click right of bookshelf get screwdriver go right click on right of window above string grab knife back out and cut picture turn right knock down books grab yellow book turn left click on white and get key turn right knock down books grab yellow book and turn right and click on door your out.

easy lol!! :)
