i got a knife, batteries, and 3 individual letters

stuck on code as usual...
found n, v, i, r and a remote control and batteries, but don't know the code

what are the letters for, anyway? I don't want to exit until I can use them
after you put the code and take the blue key, set temperature to 25. an other set of letters apears, but i do not know what to do with it...

and new code on the wall (colourcode)
i left without using letters and got bad end. second set represents colours. red green blue blue green yellow. Put the first set in that order and it spells virren? stuck there.
i still have the last slot in inventory empty

If we match the code from box with code on wall i get t_nn_u, second and 4rth letters are missing because there is no "g" in the box code.

You need batteries for remote (they are left side of yellow cupboard)
your letters are different from mine. wheres the code box?

the colourcode (rgbbny) = virrin. virrin = bottom (use the hints in the box). use key in the bottom lock and get the "good" end.

ah, think I figured it out. Letters i collected were virn. After the code box i go _ott_ _. I guessed this meant bttom so i opened the bottom lock and got diff ending.
The box code you find somewhere on the wall after entering one of the codes on ac.

in the box it says rio = top. so we know that r = t and i = o. so we know that virrin = _otto_. so i figured that v = b and n = m. im not sure if u can figure that out with the other words in the box. i fail to see a "system" or pattern.

but when i put in 38 i get "--" and nothing happens. am i doing something wrong?
put 14 in the remote for the a/c and a sqare will apear under it then use knife on the box to open it and get id card. thats where im stuck at

walkthrough....
go right from first scene and take "r" off book
click upper right blue book, which is actually a remote control
click behind left side of bookcase to get batteries and combine them with remote
go right and take "i" from green chair and "v" from red chair
go right and take "n" from yellow sign
click top of sign and take knife
go right again to first scene and check clock - 14:00
use remote to set cooling unit to 14 degrees
back up and use knife on box that appeared in wall and take IC card
look at back of IC card and see "38"
go left and use IC card in box on table
go back and set the temperature to 38 degrees
go right to bookcase scene and see 3728 on wall; enter this code in the box

take blue key and note the writing in box
go back and set temperature to 25 degrees
you can use the blue key to exit at this point but you'll get dark end
OR you can go to the chair scene and not the code "rgbbgr" over the door
check the letters you've acquired and see that they spell "virrin" according to the code.
then go back to the box and note the code for letters
translating virrin gives you _otto_ since the code doesn't have "v" or "n"
however, this is close enough to decipher the word "bottom"
go back and use the blue key in the bottom lock
you're out!!!
