herman, put candle in latern first and hang it behind the screen with purple things on it, click on left side.

don't understand the circle on the map behind drawer
i want to say that the map is basically telling you that a secret room exists....the circle represents the horoscope on the wall. the map may be obsolete now...but i could be completely wrong.
use knife on the floor next to the barrel with vine. click on vine again and climb down. i put the 4 little coloured things in the box. i think i need 2 more
the area below the horoscope puzzle looks peculiar.

onfold lantern by clicking on it. Lite candle (you find behind cat door) in fireplace and put it in lantern. Put lantern behind screen and you get color code to open secret chamber.
put the six magatama's in the box before clown, and than ring the bell!

I was busy analysing the book, so only just caught up with the comments...thanks anyway.
Me neither, redroobar. But I think there is another ending...
you DON'T NEED the book to get out, maybe for another ending, saw that on every two pages one colour of the signs has a different shape!
But didn't used it.
First page, a red shape, 4th page a yellow shape, 6th page a blue shape, 8th page a pink shape.
But I didn't used it to get out, just give the 6 magatama's to the box before clown on floor and ring the bell in on the top right of clown, stairs apaire and you're OUT
can't find the knife (not on ceiling above closet with dolls)
In the book, on the first page of colourful charactrs, one is different to all the rest on that page...look for others on the pages.

ah... didnt have the one from the drawer. just found they key in the doll.
Herman all the places:
*One is in the ricepot (yellow one)
*one is on the floor on the left side of closet where the ricepot is on. (blue one)
*One is in a secret place in toolbox
*one is in the dolls in the closet (red one)
*get also key from right bottom doll to open drawer in the view with screen with purple things = bottom drawer (pink one)
* last one is in drawer of desk, view with the horoscooppuzzle (green one)

ive got 4 worms and know four colours:
cow = red
bunny = rose
dog = green
ox = orange
have lantern and bowl
now stuck. cant do anything with the worms - opened the wardrobe with key from doll.
what next?

To open secret door:
Bull - RED
Dragon - GREEN
Rabbit - PINK
Dog - ORANGE
The zodiac puzzle seemed easy but nothing happens when I set the right colour for each symbol, according to the folding screen :
- ox : red (if it was a clock, it would be at 1)
- goat : green (4 o'clock)
- rabbit : pink (3 o'clock)
- dog : orange (10 o'clock)
The problem is that nothing happens even if I click the pink button in the middle...

It is not a goat, it is a dragon, but that doesn't help.

Pascale, back out of zodiac scene after you hear click...secret door will be open.
Forget my question about the knife, I have got the 6th magatama.
But the zodiac puzzle...?
WALKTHROUG:
First view zoom in on closet and take the bowl, take also the latern behind the door, notice the bottom drawer is locked.
Zoom out and click on the "light gray" spot on the floor (bottom right), take the RED KEY
Zoom out again and notice the screen with pink flowers and purple things on it.
Turn right once (view with fire),
click on the closet with rice pot on it (above fire), click on the left site now of the closet to find a BLUE MAGATAMA on the floor.
zoom out once and click again on the rice pot, now open the rice pot by clicking the top and find a YELLOW MAGATAMA in it.
Zoom out and turn once right (view with closet, window and in the bottom left corner a catdoor)
click on left door of closet to open it and than click on the top in the closet to find a KNIFE
open the right door of closet now and click on the doll, click several times on the doll to find the RED MAGATAMA, THAN click on the right bottom head of all the heads to find the SILVER KEY
Click on the catdoor to find a CANDLE
Turn left to the fireplace and light up the candle.
Open the latern in inventory and click on it to open it, put in the lighten candle now
Turn left once (the view with the screen), zoom in on the screen, click on the left side of screen to see a place where you have to hang the latern.
Zoom out again and notice the symbols and his colours on the screen now (red, pink, green and yellow) try to remember them.
zoom out and turn left once,
open uper right drawer of desk to get a GREEN MAGATAMA, notice the map behind the left drawer, zoom out and
zoom in on the panel right of the window. Four of the symbols are the same as the symbols on the screen, so turn them in the same colour as on the screen before. So:
cow (1 o' clock) is red
bunny ( 3 o'clock) is pink
taurus (4 o'clock) is green
dog (10 o'clock) is yellow
click on the big pink spot in the middle and the SECRET DOOR OPENS
zoom out and go into the secret room
open the chest with the red key and get a bag of seeds, click again on the chest (inside top) to find a BLUE MAGATAMA
turn right and fill the bowl with water of the barrel
turn left and click on bottom of view to turn back to the first room
turn right again (view with screen) and open the bottom drawer of closet with silver key to get a PINK MAGATAMA
take back the latern behind screen now (zoom in on screen and click left of it)
turn right TWICE (view with catdoor)
click on inventory on the bag to open it (if you haven't done it already)
click on catdoor and put the seeds in the ground, give the water of the bowl to it.
Zoom out and click on the window above catdoor to see the plant and cut it with your knife.
You get a VINE, click on it in inventory to make a strong VINE
Go back to the secret room, to the barrel with water. Put the vine on the barrel.
Cut with your knife on the right of the vine now, to open a SECRET FLOORLOCK
click on the vine twice to enter the floorlock
click use latern to light the room
For a PEACEFULL END, put alle the Magatama's (6) in the box on bottom of clown, ring the bells (two yellow half circles on right top of clown)
A STAIRS will show up, click on it and you're OUT,

Highlight the vine in inventory, click about, then click on the vine again to make it strong. Then place on water barrel in secret room.

Ataph, no didn't do the second ending, but than You don't take the stairs but have to go back to the sealed door again (with the flag sealed) see comments of Martin
atapth, you need to look at the stairs, but do not click on them. Go back and use the code from the book on the zodiac. And then go out through the door. You will get anxious end.

SECOND ENDING WALKTHROUGH:
Follow Carola's walkthrough BUT the last paragraph (post 102 - Thanks Carola!)
Put all the Magatama's (6) in the box on bottom of clown, ring the bells (two yellow half circles on right top of clown)
A STAIRS will show up, DO NOT click on it.
Click on green book to the left of the roof. Open it and turn the pages. On some of the pages there is a symbol that is different from the others. That is the code for opening the sealed door. Go BACK TWICE to room with vine, then go to the LEFT, ZOOM OUT of secret room. ZOOM IN on zodiac panel on the wall. Put in the code from the book.
So:
-rat: red (12 o'clock)
-rabbit: orange (3 o'clock)
-snake: blue (5 o'clock)
-horse: green (6 o'clock)
-lamb: pink (7 o'clock)
ZOOM OUT from zodiac panel. A wand will have appeared on the wall. Take it. Turn RIGHT TWICE.
Use the wand on the sealed door. The charm will disappear.
For an Anxious End, click on the door to open it and again to go outside.
Hehe nice game, I like the peaceful ending better :P.
