yes, that was indeed short.
you need to go to the kitchen first. get the poison from cupboard. Then click the cat's food and it will explain that you can't reach it. after that put the stool closer and get the food. Put the poison first and then the cat's food in the plate. the cat will eat it and die haha, so you can get the duster.

Ok, I'm stuck after using the duster. The only thing I can do is hide behind the curtain and turn on the t.v. HELP!!
after that you must use the duster in the fuse room so that you can turn electricity on to open the door with code.
greenmama, go to the fuse room and dust off the cubwebs

in here you can transfer the fuse to different holes

once you turned on electricity in the kitchen you can get the code from the picture in the living room.

How do you get the elevator working and the 2nd floor to be lighted at the same time?
FYI: There's a bug in this game.
If you are holding an item in your hands and you go to another room, your character disappears and you would have to restart the game.
you need to find the second fuse after opening the door with code
cowcatkitty, there is another fuse in the kitchen drawer. you will find the key in the feezer where poor lily is.

Ack, so buggy. More than once there is no "girl" when I try to go back into the tv room and I can't get out.
All she wanted was an ice cream cone and now this?..Jeesh! lol
accually. i got scared of the chef when i first started. :\ gosh i feel soooo stupid...

1st- hit the book shelf and a glass will break...
2nd- where the glass fell, click it and she will cut herself loose...
3rd- then click on the vent thats at the top, then push the book shelf to put it under the vent, climb up to the vent twice... the vent door will fall and the shelf will break causing the guy to come into the basement... when u hear the footsteps, hide in the small area underneath the stairs... he will leave the door open and u will be able to leave the basement...
4rth- click the door that leads into the living room... you will notice a cat on the couch sleeping where you also will see a duster under the cat. dont click it yet cus the cat is mean lol... also u will notice a picture hanging on the wall.. click it and then click off of it cus u will use that painting later.... (PLEASE NOTE THAT IF U TURN THE TV ON, HE WILL COME INTO THE LIVING ROOM. SO PLEASE HIDE BEHIND THE CURTAIN ON UR LEFT)....
5th- now go into the kitchen and see the cat bowl on the floor. its empty. so click on the cupboard at the bottom and pick the rat poison. then click on the cupboard at the top left and notice the that u need the stool u see at the table to open it.... grab the stool and place it under the cupboard and climb up to open it and grab the cat food... once u have those two items, take the rat poison and put it in the cat bowl first then take the cat food and add it in.... the cat comes to eat it then kills over...
6th- go back to the hall where u left out of the basement from, and notice that when u passed it up the first time there were cobwebs in that area... take the duster that u found and clean it... click and move the fuse to the kitchen hole then go back to the kitchen and notice the keypad on the door... click it... u need a code for the door which will turn into the meat ice box... go back into the living room and click on the painting.... there is a date on there under the picture.. (1977)... now go back to the keypad in the kitchen and enter the code... go in to the meat ice box and click on the very last meat... a dead body and a key will fall... grab the key and go out....
7th- go back to the kitchen and see that there is a drawer the needs a key, click it and get the 2nd fuse for the fuse box.... go back to the hall where the fuse box is and put the fuse in the spot where it says the hall and the 2nd floor... once thats done, click on the green button to make the elevator chair come down and get on... the char takes u upstairs.. get off the chair and walk towards the door... u cant go out yet cus the carpet is covering the hole on the floor... u will fall through but the ugly mean guy is gonna break ur fall.... quickly push the green button again and ride the elevator chair back up to the 2nd floor... click the door and------ out!

Knock the bottle from the shelves
Click the glass to get yourself free
Note the air duct
Move the shelves under the air duct
Click the shelves to climb
Click the air duct to remove the cover
Hide under the stairs after the shelves fall
The butcher will leave the door open
Upstairs you can go into the nearer door – it is to the kitchen
Open the sink cupboards and get the rat poison
Note the cat food in the top cabinet
Get the stool by the kitchen table and use it to get the cat food
Put the poison and then the cat food in the bowl to kill the cat
Go left and get the duster from the couch
Don't turn on the TV
Note the picture on the wall
Leave the room and use the duster on the door under the stairs
Move the fuse in the box and drag it to the kitchen
Go to the kitchen and enter the code from the picture into the keypad for the freezer

Go into the freezer
Move the last piece of meat hanging from the hook and find Lily
Get the key by the body
Leave the freezer and use the key on the locked drawer in the kitchen
Get the second fuse
Go to the fuse box and place the fuse for the upstairs and for the hall
Press the elevator button and go upstairs
Walk on the rug and fall through
You will kill the butcher
Summon the elevator again and leave through the right door
