you have to use some prior knowledge of the past games.....the gun and wand combine to make it more powerful
In door 1F the switch in grey machine was able to work until the pipe was used on orange pipe, but that didn't turn power on :(

After the blasted door in room with beds I've reached a panel. Stuck now.

I think the red ball is one of the 3 keys the alien talked about. They might go into the triangle next to the ladder, but maybe until we've got the 3 of them.

Use your gun on wood.
light the wood by putting the gun together and zapping it
there is a wrench (i think) in the tunnel that leads from the bedroom to the 3 ball triangle.

Drat I was so excited I found a wrench, only to find that it was old news...
In tunnel after blasting through wall there is a floor panel that pops up with a key to the kitchen safe.

skyjourney, the key for the safe is what someone called the wrench.
can someone please explain the equalizer better? levels 1, 2 3 are understandable but where is the clue that tells me which level each bar should be at?

Siox, did you dig the hole in the basement with the shovel? That gives you the code.
As far as the EQ goes, I placed each switch so the bottom of the switch was on the line of the # I wanted.

i put my switches in the spaces instead of the lines
sky, place the tv screen on top of the panel
sioux on the equlizer from bottom count each line going up as 1234 so first bar on first line second bar on eight line, 3rd bar fifth line etc.
i have two grey things..and the gun/key combo.. stuck

NM figured it out!
tried all the suggestions on the EQ and followed the pattern from item in basement and still nuthin. I got all the other items except middle key for spaceship.
the red ball goes in the "gripper" aparatus in the room through the blue door in the kitchen; this reveals a new room with an eye on the wall *it moves a bit but probably something else needs to be done*; also, a black box can be found in this new room and that is where i am stuck...lol!!!

That's the longest it's taken me in ages to escape! getting better at figuring them out, but this one had me stumped!
On the eye I messed with adding wand to gun , don't add the wand to use it :-)
I can't believe I spent all this time on that darn EQ when I had it right all along. Then used the wand on the eye and got my third piece for the spaceship. Night all!

and i'm out!! thanks Stephanie...had all keys but the last one and your comment about going back through kitchen portal helped :) had fiddled with the eye but decided to try to use the skinny part of the gun on the eye and voila...got the last key and flew somewhere out in space...lol!!!!!

so the feedback on this game seems very positive huh? im glad to hear it, because unearth 2 and ghost box werent very liked and had many bugs. but if people like this one, then perhaps the author is getting better!
mabye ill give this one a try later on, since the feedback was so positive. :)

I got stuck at a certain point, but once I found the key for the safe (thanks Stephanie!!) it was quite clear and straightforward.

Go through the blue hole in the kitchen and then all the way to the right.
You can move the three blue balls. Move them so they form a triangle connected with lines and there it is.

its hard to believe this is the same author as ghost box, and unearth 2, because this is SO MUCH BETTER than those and actually had NO BUGS (the other games i mentioned had plenty).
the inventory was more properly orangized too, unlike in ghost box, nice job.
congrats to the author, you have renewed my faith in you :) now if only gazzyboy could improve the same way... lol

the red circle goes into the "claw" hanging from the ceiling, behind the blue kitchen door. putting it there is what gives way to the eye door.
youll need the key from the attic to unlock the safe in the kitchen 1st though.
WALKTHROUGH
Your gun (that's already in your inventory) can be split into two parts. The barrel part can be used as a key and the whole gun is even more powerful.
Crashed Saucer View
- Go right untill you see a house. Zoom in. Go in the house. Go in the kitchen.
Kitchen View - Go right.
Door to the Right of the Kitchen View - Go right.
Door under the Stairs View - Go in, Go left.
Blue Ball (door) in the Basement View
- Click the blue ball and it becomes a door. Go in take the white pipe. Go down (out), go right, go up (click the stairs), go up (click the stairs above the door).
Door above the Stairs View
- Split your gun (use it in the screen and it will split) and use the barrel part to open the door.
- Go in and go left.
Water Bulb View
- Take the axe. Go right and down (out). Go down (click stairs). Go left (2x). Go down (out) (3x).
Crashed Saucer View
- Go right untill you see the tree with a cut in it (not the broken one next to the saucer). Use the axe on the cut and you get the wood.
- Go back to the house but don't go in. Click to the left of the house.
Lake View
- Put your pipe on the pipe. Go down (back in front of the house) and go to the kitchen and go left (1x).
Door to the Right of the Kitchen View
- Us your barrel part on the door to open it and go in.
Boiler View
- Open the boiler and put the wood in.
- Fix your gun (two parts together again) and use it on the wood to make fire.
- Go right, click the handle/lever on the machine and go left again and go down (out).
- Go right, Go up (the stairs), Go left.
Head View
- Click the head and you get a strange green key, because you made steam energy. Go left.
Door and Ceiling Hatch View
- Open the door (use your barrel part) and go in.
- Click the blue ball and it becomes a door. Go in.
Bedroom View
- Fix your gun and use it on the steel door.
- Go in and click the tile (2nd column from the left, 2nd row from the bottom) and take the grey key.
- Go up (left into the hallway) and notice the three balls on the wall.
- Go back; Right; Down (2x); Right (2x); Down (the stairs); Left (2x).
Kitchen View
- Use your grey key on the safe and a blue ball pops up. Click it and it becomes a door. Go in. Right (2x).
3 Blue Balls View
- Take the shovel.
- Arange the blue balls like the three balls you saw. Make sure the lines are connected. Take the first part of the alien key.
- Go back; Left (2x); Down; Right (2x); Down; Left (2x).
Left Part of the Basement View
- Use your shovel to dig a hole and see the note (1853)
- Go back; Right (2x); Up (the stairs) (2x); Left (2x).
Door and Ceiling Hatch View
- Open the hatch and go up and go right.
- Use your green key on the blue ball and go in and you will get a red ball.
- Go back to the kitchen (by now you should know how to get there) and go in the blue ball/door. Go right (1x).
- Use your red ball in the grabber things and go in the gate that opened.
Plate and Strange Symbol View
- Take the plate.
- Use your barrel part on the symbol thing and take the second part of the alien key.
- Go back to the door and ceiling hatch. Close the hatch ladder (click blue arrow) and go in the door.
- Go through the blue door, through the broken steel door, go left and up the ladder.
Cockpit View
- Zoom in on the panel and put the buttons on 1853 (we saw on the note in the basement).
- Put the plate above it and take the third part of the alien key.
- Zoom out and go back to the basement blue door view and go in.
- Put the three parts of the key in and you're out.

I just finished their first game and it really wasn't as bad as I thought it would be after reading the above comments.
I didn't see any bugs. The lever part was a bit tough (read annoying..), but I thought it was a nice game anyway!

Really nice game! (And I also liked the other two). I escaped almost on my own, just couldn't find that third piece of key because I kept putting gun and wand together to open the eye. Thanks @Edgar and @Carol! Before I read your comments I didn't even think of using the wand alone.

well i never played the 1st unearth, only the 2nd and ghost box, and i can guarantee u both of THOSE have bugs. 1st unearth might not though, i wouldnt know.

I wasn't referring to your above comment concerning the bug-thing. I read other players experienced quite a few bugs on the 1st game. But maybe (like KKF said) the game was fixed, I don't know. I was just writing how it was for me!
Gonna try their 2nd one today and hopefully it's bug free now too, because (without bugs !!) their games are quite good!
Well, I just tried playing their 2nd game and I had to give up. I lost my crowbar and couldn't input one of the codes.
Now why wasn't I told it was buggy...? haha
@Truus: Eventhough the author has fixed bugs for Unearth 2, there is still (at least?) one bug left: the topleft computer didn't show the code after putting in the USB.
