Sakura! yessss!

2nd? :D

Yeah!! I'm in!

mee too! couldn't find R! tee hee! this is my favourite!

this one looks more complex than most. which means i'm sunk.

so far I found 3 pots of tea, falshlight, red and yellow key(both used), scissors, coin.

sry 4 pots:D

I'm live for a Sakura? That doesn't happen a lot.

My game is not loading, i m getting a 'busy, try it later' message. Refreshed multiple times

red ball goes into the panel in the cupboard

This is hard! I love it!
@Stormcat i have a "ruler" as well.

Found the blue key!

found yellow ball in the safe thing above the bed (goes into the panel too)

Hey guys! Where did you use the hammer?

Its below the cabinet to the right of the bed.

"Ruler" gets the blue key from the hole at the baseboard.

anyone know where to use hammer?

Green ball, after using sd on cabinet to the right of the bed.

hm didn't find the ruler nor the blue key
any ideas where to use flashlight?
(sry about language mistakes, I'M Hungarian:)

Use the coin in the locker on the wall.

Sd is behind brown cupboard.

got hammer red and green ball, flashlight. Wonder what we need the flashlight for? Haven't found any dark places.

Where to use the hammer?

oh my.. Am I late??

-I wish I can catch up with you guys^-^

Where is the red key?

where is the flashlight?

@stormcat
"ruler" is behind the brown cabinet, i think.

I pressed my calculator and got /4 on it.

pop! found it!

use hammer on the wall in door view. slightly right from the middle, close to the floor, to get blue ball.

use "ruler" to get blue key @Stormcat
still looking for blue ball
use flashlight on calculator on bed, got "divide by 4"

use flashlight on calculator.
Where to use hammer?

@dideedi
flashlight below bed.

Flashlight?

use flashlight on calculator for a hint to the code maybe??

thx Ellie:)

flashlight powers the solar calculator.

I'm stuck with the hammer

thanks ellie ;)

I clicked like a thousand times under the bed and nothing happened till I saw the post here. Weird

@Truus, thnx but it isn't working for me?

@mighty1 you've now discovered POP!

shelf under key box gives colour order

ok got it

Found the spot for hammer. Close to floor, right of middle of the wall in door view. Get blue ball. lol.

Thanks @Truus, i got the blue ball.
It is close to the floor, just right of the book.

@Truus nvm i followed your instructions and got it!

zoz, on the 8th vertical line

Now: The Code!!

oh codebreaking again? -.-

where to use hammer to get blue ball?? hope pop will work for me!!!

still no red key. hints?

K.
anyone know the color order of the balls?

pop found blue ball... break the bottom of the wall with hammer

never mind, I found Truus' post. I got the blue ball

@Truus, hint for order is under the slider puzzle, 1st shelf on left
the bars on the wall look like a DNA sequencing gel!

Can someone explain how to read the codes with the squares and colors. I ALWAYS have to wait for someone else to figure them out. (the code you get when you place the colored balls)

Thanks!

sakura :) as always lovely game :) hi you all :):)

color order is under puzzle box. Red Key, please!

thanks for blue ball hint @truus! just saw that you wrote it!

color order is on the left shelf of the table with the box that had the yellow key

red key was behind the bed pillow

red key is behind pillow on bed

thanks zoz, I missed that

wow, I thought I clicked there a million times! LOL! Thanks everyone!

ok placed all 4 colors. the screen now showing colored symbols

hint: color order is in the left shelf in the drawer next to the cupboard

Does anyone know what happened to Suicune? I miss her. She was a whiz at these games.

Can someone explain how to read the codes with the squares and colors. I ALWAYS have to wait for someone else to figure them out. (the code you get when you place the colored balls)

Thanks!

ok now stuck. i got the symbols, maybe it's the help to solve the code?

If you follow the number order from the notebook, only 2 squares are colored for each ball. as always, this makes absolutely no sense to me!

This code is hard for me :)!

@Pixelhound, he's doing alright but doesn't want to play right now.

@zoz... and then there is divided by 4, but that makes no numbers.

Kenneth I have the same problem! I'm bad at figuring out codes :/

Pixelhound I don't know but she was very desperate I think.. she took these games so serious:(

yes I think sometimes too serious.

Oh Suicune is a man?:D ooops sry

@Ellie, i forgot all about the "divide by 4". This one is mean!

stuck with the code :(:(

Well i've seen posts that Suicune was a girl. Who knows

stuck too.

Multiplying the numbers or adding the numbers and dividing by 4 sure didn't work :(

btw still stuck with the code

well i'm stuck. Got the balls in place but can't figure out the code.

@zoz... and the red and green squares on the calculator... im nothing but a big questionmark right now. Taking a sip of the tea.

well... got the code... but it was dumb luck.

SPOILER3012SPOILER

I just started with a 3 b/c thats what the green looked like to me. thankfully it only took 12 tries from there! not sure about the divide by 4 though.

very stuck too

@Ellie we don't dare drink tea until we can unlock the door. No bathroom in here!

ı diveded with 4 and used the left overs as in
13/4= 3+ 1 ----> use 1 but got nowhere

This comment has been removed by the author.

man or woman, Suicune is talant in these games:D

Stuck with the code

Good job Kenneth. I would like to know how they came up with that though.

@Kenneth, thanks but im not out of this room until i understand the code.

well, 6x2/4 will get you 3, but 7x3/4 sure doesn't = 0.

@kitkatfox
Oh i forgot, now i really have to solve this code quick!!

hah out!thx Kenneth, you're my escape hero today:D

I would also like to know how we were supposed to get 3012. multiply it by 4 and we have 12048 and that doesn't help at all.

and what about my 5 cups of tea?

I just realized that 6-2=4, 7-3=4, 8-4=4, and 5-1=4

Doesn't help me a bit, but seems awfully concidental

well I tried to understand the way to break the code but it's just too much for me:D

I am sure Suicune is watching and laughing - stop sulking and help us
anyone explain the code yet

had to go for a minute cuz my dog was harrassing a squirrel. and now it's solved?!

Thanks Kenneth! I took the spoiler and ran! I never understand these codes, so I'm not going to get a headache trying to figure it out. Good luck to the rest of you puzzle hounds!! :) My first live game!

Is it only me that have 3 numbers for blue color? 5,1,9...

@zoz not solved. Brute forced. :)

Kenneth you drunk them after escaping, it says:D

@cyndee43 welcome and glad you could play live!

@zoz, no it's not solved. Kenneth brute forced it. Still thinking here :)

i've been adding, dividing, subtracting and multiplying and it's getting me nowhere!! i give up!

@Ellie no. I missed the 9 lol

@kkf, where did you get those subtractions?

Ok, so not sure if this is it, but if you write down the number grid from the door scene and then go to the colored sequences,
Green: The same square that corresponds to the number 3 is the colored on the green, but not colored on the rest.
Red: is somehow zero (there is no zero on the number grid)
Blue: the square that is number 1 on the number grid is colored on the blue, but not the rest.
Yellow: The square that is for number 2 is colored on the yellow grid, but not the others.

Still stuck about the zero though.

oh, i guess i should take a look at the end screens once in a while! thanks, @Stormcat need a new game now, hate waiting, no patience

@zoz I got them by messing up and missing a number. Ignore the post!

My second live one today, I think it was right to miss a dumb seminar today :D

Kenneth I'm waiting for the next one too:D

I think you're on to something howie. I've been trying to add the colored #s then divide them by 4. Not working so much. I hate not knowing HOW. The only problem with the bruteforce method.

the best I can do for that one would be 9-5=4 and 5-1=4 :P

@howie that makes as much sense as anything, but the yellow should be "8" following that logic

oops, i meant the red should be 8

I hear ya mkganda. It drives me crazy not knowing HOW to get to the solution when I have it.

Zoz, that's where I'm stuck. The red should be 8 or 4. I don't know where to go with that.

Both numbers divided by 4 are not zero.

Grrrr.

No @howie, that's not it.
Every number is colored on only one grid.
7,3
4,8
1,9,5
2,6

By the way I hate bruteforcing.
The game is to crack the code.

I don't hate bruteforcing, but I want to know after WHY is works lol

Sometimes bruteforcing helps you find the answer through the back door.

I'm drinkin my tea but I'm not comfortabLe.. it seems a if I had stolen them from a very classy cafe and a waiter will come any time bumping at my head with a chair to get it back if I don't tell him the code-secret :(:( LoL :D:D

keneth thanx a lot by the way :)

Ok sneak snake, but where do we get the code?
I see your point, but don't know how to get the code from that.

I stopped drinking my tea after kkf told me not to :) But i'm getting nowhere here... Heating up the brain thinking about the red and green buttons on the calculator...

*sighs* if i only had a brain

got it:
for green oneyou have 3 and 7 coloured: makes 37.
you have to add 3 to be able to devide it by 4.
red is 48: you have to add nothing (0)...

what about the pattern of lines on the wall?
lol @MaLiBu, no more tea for you!

@zoz me too. Maybe we secretly stumbled into stormcat's "dumb seminar" and it sucked away our smarts.

@Torpedo: YEAY!!

But... it doesnt work for blue...

would our mathS teacher in prep be proud seeing us do all these calculation but getting nowhere?? Ellie :P

Torpedo, you're a hero! That is it! Now I can drink my 5 cups of tea!

ZoZ I think I'll get some coffe for us all :D cofeine should help :P LoL

blue is 159. add 1. makes 160

At Ellie: 1 5 9= 159; 160-1=159; 160 is dividable by 4

Anybody still here? Where's the hammer please?
Btw I think Suicune is a man lol

But that doesn't work for the last yellow grid. 6 and 2 = 8. you add nothing to divide by 4.

or blue is 1 +5+9 =15, add 1 =16
but what about yellow? 2 + 6 =8 so add 0

but 36/4=9 shouldn't that be a 0, too

Or did I get another wrong number?

no, i'm not buying this, sorry, but its to random in what order to place the digits.

@ zoz: LOL, I was about to type in exactly the same post when torpedo solved it.. I thought the lines are important too. A red herring in a Sukaru game??

for yellow you have 26. So you have to add 2 to make it 28.

ah, it's 26! so add 2 to get 28. damn that's a convoluted code!

hammer was in the blue drawer

@adams the hammer is inside a locker, don't remember which one... blue?

Duh! I had the right number and read it wrong from the paper. You're right, it was 26. I even had it correct earlier.

I need to make neater notes lol

Ok, well done @Torpedo
and it's 37 and not 73, because you read from left to right.
Also 48 and not 84 for the same reason
With 159 it's 1 before 5 (both on the same column but 1 is on a higher row)
62 is from left to right again.
Congrats @Torpedo.

This comment has been removed by the author.

so the numbers are 37, 48, 159 and 26. to make them divisible by 4 you have to add 3,0, 1, and 2.
I'm drinking my tea now.

Well, that was something else.

Thanks torpedo and everyone else for their help.

The lines on the wall were very puzzling.......

I see what you mean Torpedo, I think you're right!!!

@Torpedo fantastic work!!! *bows to you*

Torpedo, you are the new Sakura king/queen!

Im still not having any more tea.
If yellow is 26 and not 62 then its from right to left, not like the others...

@Torpedo Thank you! This must be the beginnings of an addiction 'cause I just couldn't let that one go. I would have sat here all day til I or someone else figured that out.

Sometimes I am told a code, and I kick myself for not figuring it out.

Sometimes I am told a code, and I think there is zero chance I would have EVER come up with that on my own.

This is in the latter category e.O

@kkf, i think that the numbers just go from lowest to highest, regardless of their position.

oopps, i meant @Ellie! I can't read, lol

Thank you @zoz!!
Now, im having tea :D

This comment has been removed by the author.

Bring on the Minoto game! the zoz brain needs that now.

congratS torpedo u saved me from the pissed waiter also u saved my life and tee :D thanK u :D and of course thanx to kitkatfox sneaksnake ellie and keneth :) Zoz enjoy your tee :D:D buen appetit

Sakura I'm out but needed help with the code and 20 minutes to find that blue ball ....Tea I needed Margaritas..I think this is the first one with no clue on the ball location ..Oh well Happy Friday all thanks for the code but I don't feel like I did it this time

@zoz, I could really need a Minoto as well! This one was something extra. The tea hasn't brought the temperature of my brain cells back to normal levels yet.
Thank you @torpedo!!

@kkf, no problems with blogger here.

@Ellie, The left to right theory also works and so the last one is 62. Is also adding 2 (62+2=64)just like 26. But I like to think it's 62 because of the left to right.

Thanks @Sneaksnake, i finally got that as well. I still go with zoz explanation though. Seems easier to go from low numbers to higher, than to think left-right and top-bottom.

@carol: Hm, I'm still not sure if that weird lines are probably a hint for the location of the blue ball. I wouldn't have found that one without help... But I cant figure it out!
@zoz: Yeahhh!! Minoto! Minoto! That would be nice!!!

Back up and click the door to escape!
Enjoy your tea!

Solution by Torpedo! Fantastic work!!!

Look at each set of colored squares. Note the places where the numbers from the notebook would be colored. For example, for the green square the 7 (top row, 4th column) and the 3 (3rd row, 3rd column) are colored. So we have 3 and 7 for green.

Repeat for the other colors
You end up with
Green 3 and 7
Red 4 and 8
Blue 1, 5, and 9
Yellow 2 and 6

But you also have the divide by 4 hint from the calculator

So take each set of numbers from lowest to highest

37
48
159
26

Add a number to each one so you have a number divisible by 4.

For 37, add 3 to get 40 (40/4=10) so the green number is 3.

Repeat for the other numbers
48/4=12 so red 0
159+1=160. 160/4=40. So blue 1
26+2=28. 28/4=7. So yellow 2

SPOILER3012SPOILER

oh...:(( to late for a life game...and I saw Truus..:))

48/4=12 so red 0
???
I love these games but I never find codes :-(

@Elliot
I like that explanation even better!

@Elliot
Why did you remove it??

Ok, so here goes another explanation found out by Elliot. I don't know why he removed it, byt i think it's a simpler explanation than the previous one. I'm sorry but I don't know the correct english words for "leftovers".

For green:
7 divided by 4= 1 3/4 (1 and three leftovers)
3 divided by 4= 3/4 (three leftovers)

For red:
4 divided by 4= 1 (zero leftovers)
8 divided by 4= 2 (zero leftovers)

For blue:
9 divided by 4= 2 1/4 (2 and one leftover)
1 divided by 4= 1/4 (one leftover)
5 divided by 4= 1 1/4 (1 and one leftover)

For yellow:
6 divided by 4= 1 2/4 (1 and two leftovers)
2 divided by 4= 2/4 (two leftovers)

So, just take the numbers of leftovers:
Green:3
Red:0
Blue:1
Yellow:2

man @torpedo! well done! That's why i love playing these games...working together on a challenge and also socialising with brilliant minds. this sakura was the most challenging yet! thankyou all for an enjoyable half hour :)

@Talie
you have the number 48 for red and dont have to add anything to make it dividable with 4. You add 0. That makes red number=0

just like you have to add 2 to the blue number 26 to make it into something that is dividable by 4. Thats why blue=2.

What has happened to my favorite puzzle solver Sucine?

       Anonymous  2/12/10, 8:38 AM

Thanks for the code and explanation.

I thought the lines on the wall were a clue as well. I didn't use them at all. It's not like Sakura games to have a red herring.

the code is 3012

just lke you said the first one looked liek a 3 the secod lke a 0 the third looked like a 1 in a way lol and the last i just randomely went through all of them and got 2

A very hard brain-teaser indeed. Had to come to the comments for the hints. Congratulations @Torpedo for being the first on coming up with a reasonable answer, one out of a few possible as I can see/read, but yet a real challenge you guys had to face this time.

Nice job all.

The each number 1,2,...,9 is categorized by its remainder, when divided by 4.

3,7 remainder is 3.
4,8 remainder is 0.
1,5,9 remainder is 1.
6,2 remainder is 2.

the place hit by hammer:
It's an amidakuji(ghost leg). Start at the light on the ceiling.

Thanks @Xenon!
Nice to know how it was supposed to be calculated. Then Elliot was right after all!
But the solution by Torpedo worked just as fine lol.

I don't know if it's said yet, but torpedo's solution works in both senses:

37+3=40
73+3=76

48+0=48
84+0=84

159+1=160
195+1=196
591+1=592
519+1=520
951+1=952
915+1=916

26+2=28
62+2=64

All these numbers are dividable with 4

Thanks @Paco! Not easy to figure out while playing it live lol, that puts a whole other (pleasant) stress on you. For a moment i felt that not a single number was possible to divide by 4, and it turns out that they all are :D

I have another solution for the code,
see picture how I read and got the code

THE CODE SOLUTION

Don't know of it's the right way, but worked for me and a lot easier ;) lol

       Anonymous  2/14/10, 1:53 PM

Suicine is male. I've seen severl comments now that he "doesn't want to play right now." Also, I asked in another game and was told by "Knotaklu" that Prid is "enjoying his youth and going to school." So that's the story on those two....
