Level 1 - Click on the door

im here stuck on level 1

sorry i mean im stuck on level 2

Hint Level 2 - anagram

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 5:00 PM

yeah, I'm not sure what it means by "die as hung"

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 5:02 PM

oh. got it. Thanks!

i used an anagram solver on google and got the answer to level 2

Hint Level 3 - Initials

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 5:04 PM

Okay, but the two birds and the bottom left plate - what are they called?

try using an anagram tool :)

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 5:09 PM

four - count letters

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 5:11 PM

finaly a new 1

robin and eagle

i don't get level 4

Hint Level 4 - Solve the riddle by using letters and a part of the word (Ignore the blue hint)

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 5:18 PM

sheila, look at the letters (and the top of mushroom is "mush" - you want to use room)

Anyone know how to score billiards?

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 5:20 PM

stuck on 4

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 5:21 PM

what do you have for four so far?

im brain dead today i still don't get it

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 5:23 PM

got it

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 5:24 PM

okay, what are the first and third letters of Juniper? Mix in the fourth letter of Ghoul, etc (sorry, don't remember the third step)

Hint Level 4 - Anagram again (related to the theme... 2 words)

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 5:27 PM

what is 5

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 5:27 PM

no, Edgar, that's level five. Six is the cue sport - I'm stuck, I can't figure out the scoring. (four is the recipe)

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 5:29 PM

Lucas, look at the clickable items - a blackjack, a roulette wheel, a slot machine, etc - what do they have in common (what are they used in). The answer is plural, I think. (the letters are an anagram, but I figured that out after I got the right answer)

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 5:35 PM

okay, six is addition, mostly, each ball has a set value. red = 1, blue = 5, yellow = 2, green = 3, brown = 4, pink = 6 and black = 7. Assign values to the balls you "pot" and add them all up (enter numerically, 10 rather than ten)

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 5:37 PM

hi everyone

Sorry, you're right, my bad.

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 5:38 PM

is anyone else up to the music room yet? I have no idea what the clue is!

It's a song by ELO - mr blue sky - but nothing works!

BTW, for level 6, scoring and ball colors are for a game called snooker.

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 5:41 PM

the letters i got are aigesonc i used a anagram and i didnt get anything to do with a casino or poker

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 5:41 PM

icemaiden, there are three songs. that's the middle, click either side of the record

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 5:42 PM

@Lucas - it's two words, and you're missing three letters (a, m, s)

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 5:43 PM

@trisana oh ty

Ohhhhhhhhh Very hard to get to the different pieces on the record...OK, so I have no clue!

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 5:44 PM

no problem. Just hurry up to the music room so you can help us! I'm stumped.

Stuck in level 7 as well :(

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 5:45 PM

well, it's three different genres, I think, Jazz, Pop (I think) and classical (well, maybe baroque?)

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 5:45 PM

YES thank you

Hint for the music room, the songs are Mr. Blue Sky, Blue Moon, and Blue Danube. What do these songs have in common?

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 5:47 PM

@Lucas - you okay on the Snooker riddle?

Thanks @BuddyB!

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 5:49 PM

Oh, Thanks, BuddyB. I couldn't figure out the titles.

Thanks Buddyb!

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 5:50 PM

the next one's easy, just look at what's written (but backwards)

Level 8 - the letters are E,M,P,L,E,H. Anagram (two words)

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 5:54 PM

Edgar, it's just a mirror image. Don't make it too hard on yourself.

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 5:54 PM

i'm stuck on lvl 3

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 5:55 PM

im on 8

i don't remember what balls i sunk on snooker (level 6)

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 5:57 PM

now on 9

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 5:57 PM

what's got you stuck? take the first initials, Michelle, they'll spell out a word. (so M for mermaid, U for unicorn R for robin, D for dragon, etc)

stuck on 1 help

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 6:00 PM

@sherry12 click on door

Well, very stuck in the library...

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 6:02 PM

hi everyone.. stuck in the library too #9

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 6:03 PM

stuck on 9

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 6:03 PM

Well, we have a handful of clues . . . Orbital Mechanics, IV (4?) The Zodiac (with a picture of Libra), and a list of four things: Polyphemus, Order of Angels, Islam Pillars, Pleiades . . . try the fourth letters? I dunno either . . .

I did click on the front door, when I go in it keeps bringing me to a fram with a face in it.

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 6:05 PM

@sherry - that's room two, the caption is an anagram. Solve it.

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 6:07 PM

@sherry12 that is the 1st puzzle

july 4th 1957 or april 7th 1957

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 6:09 PM

okay, and 4 and 8 as well, Skoobie? 12 for the zodiac . . .

libra is the 7th sign

This comment has been removed by the author.

@skoobie23
There are 9 orders of pillars

Googled "libra 1957" and got a "word" in a link text that WAS the answer.

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 6:10 PM

Matthew, huh???

*When* is Libra?

just a guess with the numbers but was wrong

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 6:12 PM

I still don't get this one? Edgar, can you explain more?

thanks, didnt know that was rm 2. But I still cant fiqure it out.

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 6:14 PM

@sherry - google a word unscrambler. It's easier that way (one word)

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 6:15 PM

OH! That explains the orbital! Got it, thanks, Edgar!

"For some reason, the Jupiter in Libra period was also a time of space exploration" - this was from googling Libra 1957...USSR.....

For level 9
Google an event occurred on October 4, 1957.

dang got the wrong month

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 6:17 PM

ty edgar

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 6:20 PM

what is 10

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 6:22 PM

the images: 1 = asteroid; 2 = orion' 3= crab nebula; 4 = horsehead nebula; 5 = saturn's rings

10 is another anagram. Asteroid, Orion, Crab Nebula, Horsehead Nebula, Saturn.

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 6:24 PM

#10 Each image looks like asteroids, constellation of some sort, black hole, horsehead nebula, saturns rings,.. wondering if we need the proper names for each image .. then take the first letter of each ?? maybe .. anyone know that constellation name ?

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 6:24 PM

first letters give another anagram. It's related to entropy.

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 6:25 PM

thx BuddyB i didn't refresh in time :p

you guys are good! Thanks

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 6:31 PM

anyone making progress on the mirror code in the bathroom yet?

and for 11 - math is not my strong suit....

lost on mirror

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 6:35 PM

I don't think it's math . . . I can't come up with a substitution that could work . . .

periodic table - 2 is HE, 67 is HO...but 118 is UUO!

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 6:37 PM

yeah, but Ar is 18. You're brilliant, Icemaiden. - hydrogen, uranium, fluorine fluorine.

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 6:38 PM

H = 1, U = 92, F = 9, if you don't have a periodic table nearby.

right track with periodic table

boy my computer is sloooooow

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 6:43 PM

Room thirteen has a quote from Monty Python and the Holy grail! It's epic!

Well, at least it wasn't math! Didn't like chemistry that much either..LMAO

oops..didn't pay attention to the names of the rooms

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 6:47 PM

@dana - it shows the kitchen, crypt, grounds, library and observatory.

For level 12:
Kitchen
Crypt
Grounds
Library
Observatory

Anagram the initials.

thanks all like i said slow computer forgot crypt

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 6:51 PM

i cant find any anagrams with kcglo

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 6:52 PM

i cant find any anagrams with kcglo

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 6:53 PM

guys, it's a type of gun.

Lucas, it rhymes with "clock". =)

For level 13
The answer is the name of the Egyptian God, related to the "eye" sign.

kind of gun

13 is a two letter answer.

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 6:56 PM

oh. here I thought it would be another anagram. thanks, edgar.

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 6:56 PM

dang i new that (no i didnt) but how did none of my anagram sites catch that

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 7:00 PM

a couple of them look greek - nu, mu . . but I'm not sure.

14 is an alphabet - thought it was greek but no don't think so...

wican! I think

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 7:03 PM

they're zodiac symbols? at least, the one behind the horse is scorpio.

wican!

whats up with rat

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 7:08 PM

how many symbols are in 14. trisana, u said something about 1 behind a horse, all i see is the 1 behind the suitcase

theban alphabet aka witches alphabet

horse, suitcase, bat, punch & judy, mirror, rat?

so, i'm not coming up with a word...does the rat give a letter?

For level 14

The letters are Theban, replace them and anagram them.
Use this link for help:
http://www.purplehell.com/riddletools/theban.htm

oh nevermind, got it

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 7:15 PM

Umm, I don't get the rat. Help?

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 7:18 PM

dana, what is on the rat, or what does the rat reviel

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 7:19 PM

icemaiden, edgar, could you help just a little more? Please?

@Trisana
I couldn't find a use for the rat, but for a possible order... not sure.
In any case, you only need 6 letters to anagram.

The letters are:
SPOILEREICLSRSPOILER

just see a quick rat

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 7:21 PM

okay, got it. thanks, edgar

got it!!!! on to lvl 15

Alrighty - how about the dancing ghosts??? Any idea?

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 7:23 PM

well, it's a waltz, but beyond that, nope

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 7:25 PM

is there any significance to the paths they trace?

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 7:25 PM

for 15, do we name the song cause idk what it is

blue danube

It's The Blue Danube not that it works!

For 15:

You don't need the song. Where they start doesn't matter, where they end doesn't matter, it is what they do in between.

Four letter word.

Was also used for the opening in 2001 space odyssey, but don't think that means anything...or it might...

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 7:30 PM

got it ty, aicheless1

well, i'm having a brainfart......don't know the four letter word that means to go back and forth?

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 7:36 PM

it doesn't mean to go back and forth. the British say queue instead of this word.

Huh, I never would have gotten that! LOL, thanks Trisana!

got it but still lost

well it isn't a waltz more like country _ _ _ _ dancing!

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 7:39 PM

icemaiden, ill give you a hint..... enil

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 7:40 PM

The study is interesting - look for book and short story titles.

like i said, i got it but thanks for the humorous help

typewriter clue = discord

so death and discord so far

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 7:44 PM

the symbols spell DEATH (along the nile), the type writer gives you the Apples of Hesperides, the train is the Plymouth Express (those are enough to get it)

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 7:45 PM

the typewriter is NOT discord. It's a title of a short story. (I'm on 17).

If anyone could place the song on the radio, I don't get how it relates.

16 is famous literary detective

Trisana - I also don't get the radio...

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 7:48 PM

yeah, but I loved the clues. I think I've read all of them. In fact, I think I OWN all of them.

i'm so dizzy

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 7:50 PM

trisana, how about spelling it out a little more

i mean from 17 not naturally

Well, I have to go - good luck on the last three - leave me help!!! Nice "riddling" with you all.

try typing agatha christie for 16 first

it will give you a clue

bye icemaiden

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 7:53 PM

ive never heard of agatha christie

look up murder on the orient express it is one of the characters

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 7:55 PM

Lucas, you are missing out. She's the Queen of the detective novel. Hercule Poirot and Miss Marple are amazing!

i read her entire collection from the library one summer loved it!!

anyone have any idea for the spinning staircase clock?? lvl 17

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 7:57 PM

@icemaiden (for whenever she gets back) - thanks to youtube, I now know that the radio plays the theme from his TV show. LOL.

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 8:00 PM

no idea. I keep thinking that it's the sun and moon, and that the milky way is a "Spiral arm" galaxy, but nothing there.

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 8:03 PM

Samuel Edward Ratchet was the victim, the symbols say death so what is the answer if samuel is not

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 8:05 PM

the detective, Lucas! There are four books/short stories referenced in the study, and a tv show theme. (Death along the Nile, Cards on the Table, The Apples of Hesperides and the Plymouth Express)

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 8:07 PM

got it thanks for the help

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 8:07 PM

@dana - now i'm dizzy too. any new ideas?

stuck in a tailspin...ahhhhhhh

On the stairs, you should find 12 hotspots, some go one way, some go the other.

do you remember the clue..something about adjusting the clock????

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 8:14 PM

what's with the letters on the clock, the c f i l?

Should we move the clock hands with the spiral somehow? Do they want a time?

what time does the clock say?? 1104??

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 8:20 PM

All I've noticed is that clicking on the 2, 6, 7, and 12 spots make the picture spin in the opposite direction from the other 8 spots. I can't even tell which is the hour hand and which is the minute hand.

For Level 17

The clock has a letter for each hour: 1=A, 2=B, 3=C and so on. Spin the stairs on EACH hour... you'll notice it sometimes goes right, and other goes left. Anagram the letters that go clockwise in the stairs spinning.
Hint: 8 letters.

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 8:22 PM

it said "relate the clock face to the spins" (yay for writing answers down to speed run it)

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 8:24 PM

Thanks edgar and suzanne!

Level 18

Complete the numerical progression:
1 - from genie
2 - from cat
4 - from clock
8 - from tarot card
16 - from crystal ball
?? - ANSWER

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 8:31 PM

anyone else having trouble with 18?

oh my god Edgar and Suzanne, youtwo are better than dramamine!! onto 18

Is anybody still on here?

Level 19

If you've been collecting all of the blue letters you can anagram now the password. The letters were:

SPOILERALALALVHSPOILER

can somebody help me on level 4? please

fibonacci numbers, right?

stuck on stupid...and stairs! Dummied down hints please!

which is level 4?

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 8:40 PM

dana - no, just a geometric progression (multiples of 2)

Dawn - it's a basic cypher where a = 1, b = 2 etc, and 8 of the clock positions on the stairs (so the top of your screen is 12 oclock, bottom is 6 oclock) spin clockwise ( i think). find those letters, and solve the anagram.

level 4 is the kitchen.I've been stuck for about 20 mins.lol

Dawn - check each hotspot and note the clockwise ones and corresponding letters, unscramble

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 8:42 PM

I am sooo stuck on the inner sanctum level 20. I can't even remember the names of those three rooms.

trisana - duh..i must still be a bit dizzy from the stairs

Oh, count the letters indicated. For example the FIRST of Jupiter is J. Like letter math

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 8:44 PM

suzanne, they're the junk room, the home theatre and the attic. I've got all three up in separate windows at the moment, but I don't know what the ghost saw . . .

is the owl driving anyone else crazy??

I guess I'm just a little slow tonight because I'm still not getting it.lol

       Anonymous  3/6/10, 8:47 PM

Hmm. One had a puppet theater, one had a movie theater, and one had radios and games.

Trisana and suzanne - did you get 18??

nevermind - got it (damn stairs, still dizzy)
