Hm, I played with the squares on the wall above the chair. Changed color on all of them and then changed back to white. Got numbers.

there is a strange Metronom on the cubbard plus the hint on the sprayed painting
but doesn't do anything

@zoz, I don't know how i got the numbers. First I turned them all pink, then played a little with some in the middle, then turned them all white again and the numbers just showed:

When I click on the small dots on the metronome the yellow thing moves. I guess I need the right order to click on them.

@Ellie, I think the switches have to be flipped on the electric box below the white squares for the trick to work. at least now it worked for me
I got a key from the metronome... don't really know how. I think I clicked on the three dots like on the painting, but I might have done something else before without resetting.
@zoz, I got it without the switches on. Maybe we just have to do it for a while.

I'm in the bedroom now, and could plug the soldering iron in. Have a panel like in the book. Will try to use it.

@EnJoy, the knife was in the lower cupboard in the kitchen to the right of the sink.
I'm having trouble with the electrical board. The dots don't fit like in the book.

you can put the paper on the side of the table then use pencil for more numbers
nvm, i was doing it wrong. just follow the diagram from the book
@bigtank, I don't know about the metronome. I restarted to check. This time I got the key by starting on the dot next to number 13 and moving counter clockwise. Only had to press four dots.
The last time I got it from starting by number 18 and moving clockwise, pressed three dots.

@zoz, I didn't solve it yet... was busy looking at the metronome lol. Will try again, but I don't think it fits with my book lol.

@zoz, how did you fill in the dots? There are 7 rows in the book, but only 6 rows on the panel.
I found a hint about metronome behind the table lamp, but i don´t understand it.
I klicked outside the game and had to start again - now I cannot turn white squares - very annoying!
I think for the metronome, I clicked on the dots that were found in the painting and the red light on the right lit up. then i clicked the dots from the diagram behind the lamp and got the key
for metronome, you enter both hints separately. for paintign hint, start at top and move clockwise, light will turn on. for lamp hint, start at top left and move counterclockwise until you get key.
I still can't solve the soldering iron puzzle!
@Ellie, for the grid i started in the upper left corner, then right once and down twice, then left once and also right once, etc. I wish I could make a screen shot for you, but i'm not there yet. Once I got it right, i couldn't change it anymore.
anyway, so far the grid seemed to light up the wall lights.
I put the paper on the "desk" by the bed, when zoomed in. Used the pen and got some more numbers.
I followed the hint from the book, leaving the 3 middle dots out - now some lights are lit up but I cannot take the iron and change it????

I've tried using the numbers we got to turn lights on or off,
ex: top row turned 1,2,5,6,7 on and other in that row off, or vice versa.
I'm missing something here.

After I do what you told me I need to continue down twice, but then there is another down twice (in the third column) and the dots are not many enough for that. Hm, I guess I won't have any lights on in this game...
I hate when I can't look in the fridge and explore lol
@SwissMiss I can pick up the iron again but I can't change the pattern on the grid anymore. The colored dots below the lights turn the lights on or off.
@ Shane.. I did turn the lamp on still no luck. I don't think I can solve the metronome without seeing the clue first. Where did you click? my finger is getting sore :)
The soldering grid and the wall of lights in my own bedroom are much less complicated than this!

You can leave out the middle row from the soldering hint and it works ok. I don't understand why you'd need to solder again when everything works.
@EnJoy - you need to fix the outlet first usign the knife and turn the switches on.
@Ellie - when you make the squares on the circuit board, only go down once instead of twice.

Click on the yellow circle by the back left corner of the table when zoomed on the turned on lamp.
@ Shane.. I did, I am not able to click anything but the cord on the lamp, it turns the lamp on then nothing. I am playing of FF and not able to click on a few things, maybe I will start over on Safari .. otherwise, I have to give up.

I can only change the green lights
the top row (blue) are all lit and the bottom row (red) no 3,4,8,9,14,15 are lit

@Zazie, for the metronome you need to click on the dots like on the two clues.
Start with the dot by number 13 and click on 4 dots counterclockwise. One lamp turns red.
Start with the dot by number 18 and click on 3 dots clockwise. The other lamp turns red and you get the key.
Can anybody explain more exactly which parts of the grid should be orange ?

For the hint by the lamp. Zoom on it, turn it on and click on the yellow circle by the back left corner of the table.

the red lights I have (and still cannot change) seem to be off/on according the numbers we got from the first room (1256710...)
so I tried to use the numbers by the bed (certainly grey :) for the green lights
suddenly I can move the blue lights but have no clue for them
Where is the painitng you are all talking about, i only see the one in kitchen, but there are no dots.

I switched everything orange, then tried to solve it with the soldering clue, got frustrated and turned everything white. That worked.
Ellie i think i am missing one hint for the metronom. I have one light on.
I can change 3 color dots
i've tried 5,6 for the blue row (based on the note), then 3,5,7,8,10,15 for the green row, and 1,2,5,6,7,10,11,12,13 for the red row
so far nothing seems to have happened.

hm, if your reds can't be changed, it's either a bug, or you've got them right (I couldn't change the grid after i got it right)

ahh got it - after I had to restart I didn't bother with turning the white/pink squares in the lounge - did this now and Wow I can turn all the lights!! no shortcuts here
@hey Holly, I've worked on that lock a little. tried all A's, ABCDE, tried COZYR (for cozy room). I just noticed it's called a "number lock" in the game

the first two lines of your list of numbes where behind pink/reddish tiles = red lights?
the 3 line (bed) was grey = green lights?
the 56 was blue (blue light)
the A is probably part of the abc clue which we might get once we sorted these lights!

Did you notice that on the locker there is a broader vertical line between the 4th and the 5th letter ?

Guess each 3 light columns means 1 letter for the lock. Thought in braille alphabet but it has just 2 columns.

I have been rearranging and placing the books from inventory in the proper place according to the puzzle, but dont know what to do to the books that are already on the shelf. I feel stupid!

I tried the word a hundred times on locker but not on lights.
no he's not, i'm out after his hint.
It got stuck with the last button you clicked so that showed wrong, but the lights worked fine.

Ok, I have an explanation for how to get the word that Acmer talks about.
After you solve the soldering iron grid, don't start to play with the light switches. Only press the buttons using the numbers:
5,6 for blue, 1,2,5,6,7,10,11,12,13 for red, 3,5,7,8,10,15 for green. Then you will see the letters.
So, if you start playing with them you need to remember what they looked like from the beginning.

A was probably just a nice thing to have on a blind.

no i definately stil ont no wot ya on about, i cant do it, i didnt faff on with lights but it still didnt work wen i pressed the numbers wot did i do wrong

This is what the lights looked like from start:
Blue: All lights ON.
Green: Lights 2,6,7,10,15 are OFF
Red: Lights 1,2,5,6,7,10,11,12,13 are OFF
Then change the ones from the numbers you have:
Blue: 5,6
Green: 3,5,7,8,10,15
Red: 1,2,5,6,7,10,11,12,13 (all lights should be ON)
Zoom out and see CLOSE as black lines between the lamps on the wall.
