ReplyDeleteI am replaying and i just have got aware that you can change the white tiles only after having closed the blinds
ReplyDeleteHm... is anyone writing a walkthrough for this?
ReplyDeleteHello. Just joined... The code on the padlock is SpoilerstripSpoiler ?
ReplyDeleteReally, no good end or game for me. I restart game again and I dont see CLOSE clear in lights!! ( S and E are =, as can be B, or G). And I was try "close" in padlock before!!! (after a lot other words)
ReplyDeleteMissed the bed code with paper.
ReplyDeleteGreen switches didn't work without it.
Had to search hard through comments and tried to use paper on every place :)
Then I found Ellie's post (I had missed that several times, tnx @Ellie)
Got out finally though...
jajajaja Johnny!
ReplyDeleteI thought it was SPOILERCLOSF/SPOILER
ReplyDeleteI am pretty sure the bottom right light wasn't lit.
The code won't work in the lock unless you have done the lights first.
@Ellie are you doing the walkthrough? I figured you were.
@Johnny I don't know if you were joking or not, but no. The password is in my post just above this one. You have to do the lights first for it to work in the lock.
ReplyDelete@kitkatfox, I started right now. I just figured that you probably had one almost finished by now :) I'll go on writing with my toes so it will take some time as usual lol.
ReplyDeleteWhere is spray can???
ReplyDeletenvrmnd! had it the whole time!
ReplyDelete@Tia, it is in the middle drawer under the bookshelf on the wall (first view).
ReplyDeleteAnd... the walkthrough will have to wait for a while (unless anyone else writes one). I'm going hunting for blue things first.
ReplyDeleteI had forgot to read some of the comments, and had started meddling with the lights :( Have to restart to get a clean slate. Changing them back didn´t work...
ReplyDelete@Ellie I am about half way done with one (and stealing your image of the soldering pattern because I am too lazy to make my own) heehehee
ReplyDeleteGreat @kitkatfox! I'm just about to finish the blue item search. Thanks for writing here :)
ReplyDeleteMany thanks to Acmer. I never thought to use the codes like that. I figured they had to do with the lights, but I didn't know which belonged to which row.
ReplyDeleteThis walkthrough is with lots of help from others. Sorry it took so long, I had to replay to check something in the middle of the walkthrough!
ReplyDeleteYour inventory will open when you move your cursor to the top of the game screen. Clicking an item in the inventory will open an about item view if the object needs one. Clicking the background of the about item view will close it. Clicking the inventory will return an object to it if needed.
Click the left door and enter the kitchen
Click the bottom left cabinets with the gold handle (right of the sink) to zoom in
Click the door to open it and get the knife
Click the other bottom cabinet with the same type of handle and open it for the soldering iron
Click the top cabinet over the sink to zoom in -- open the left door and get the paper piece under the plates
Go back to the living room
Zoom in on the light switch over the chair
Use the knife to remove the screws
Click the broken red wire to fix it
Click the cover to close it back up again
Turn on the 3 switches
Zoom on the lampshade
Pull the red handle to turn the lamp on (this will only work if you fixed the switches)
While still zoomed in, click the bottom yellow circles over the back left corner of the cabinet top to zoom in
Note the lines/dots pattern
Zoom in on the books over the cabinet
Take the right red book
Click it in your inventory for the about item view
Turn the pages until you see lines/grid pattern
Zoom on the drawers of the cabinet
Note the top one needs a letter code
Open the middle drawer and get the spray
Go back into the kitchen through the left door
Zoom on the painting over the fridge
Use the spray to find another line/dot pattern
Back up into the living room again
Turn (either direction, it won’t matter)
Zoom on the blinds -- note the letter A
Zoom in on the trashcan
Get the second paper piece (some of the best stuff in escape games is in trashcans lol)
Zoom on the small notebook on desktop
Get a piece of blank paper from it
While zoomed in, open the drawer under the blank paper and get the paper piece
Zoom on the metronome-type thing (it is the gray machine on the desk)
Enter the patterns and get the key
Solution below
Zoom on the pen holder on the desk -- get the pencil
Use the key on the door to the left of the desk
Enter the bedroom
Click the near side of the nightstand box
Put your blank paper on the side and use the pencil to get some vertical numbers
Enter the bathroom through the door on the right
Zoom in on the odd looking toilet
Get the paper piece from the top
Click any of the paper pieces in your inventory and they will form an about item view
Add the other pieces to make the paper whole
Back up to the bedroom
Zoom in on the panel on the back wall (over the further nightstand)
Plug in the soldering iron and click the switches to provide power
Open the wall and see places you can add solder by dragging the iron to the panel dots (clicking them again will make them disappear)
Enter the pattern
Solution below
Nothing will seem to happen when you have it right except you can’t add or remove the dots anymore
Back up and you can now see the lights on the back wall are on
DO NOT CLICK ANY OF THE COLORED BUTTONS ON THE CONTROL PANEL WITHOUT NOTING THE STARTING POSITIONS! (Was that subtle enough?)
Back up to the living room
Turn around
Zoom on the white calendar-looking picture over the chair
Click all of the squares to orange and then turn them all back white (this will only work if you closed the blinds!)
Red numbers will appear.
Turn around and go into the bedroom
Solve the lights (this will only work if you found all of the numbers. If you can’t turn on or off lights, then you haven’t found the numbers for that color)
Solution below
Use the solution to open the padlock on the cabinet.
Open the drawer and get the key
Leave through the door by the chair
Yay!
Solution to the metronome-type machine
ReplyDeleteYou need to repeat the 2 patterns from the wall by the desk and the picture over the fridge. They are separate patterns. The first will turn on a red light and the second will open the hidden spot with the key. It doesn’t matter which pattern you enter first.
You do not need to reset between them. If you do reset after turning the light on, you do not need to repeat that part of the pattern. The light will stay on.
The picture over the fridge has you start at the dot in line with 18 and click the three dots to the right (clockwise)
The pattern by the cabinet has you start at 13 dot and go counterclockwise clicking the next 4 dots.
Solutions to the soldering
Drag the soldering iron to the panel and make the pattern in the book. It is a little tricky because one line of dots isn’t supposed to be there. So ignore the 3 middle dots. The final pattern should look like Ellie’s diagram (which I am stealing :P) SOLDERING PATTERN
Solving the lights
There are certain lights that are already lit. Don’t change these unless they are one of the numbers that you have. The paper that you assembled is the numbers for the blue lights (hence the blue color). Click light 5 and 6 in that row. The red numbers from the calendar thing is for the orange row (hence the reason the background was orange when you first clicked it). That leaves the gray numbers from the nightstand for the green row.
3 5 7 8 10 15
12567 10 11 12 13
56
So the pattern with X for on and O for off would be:
XXXXOOXXXXXXXXX
XOOXOOXOXXXXXXX
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Back up so you can see the lights on the wall. Note the black lines between then. This tells you how to read it
Here is a SCREENSHOT OF THE LIGHTS PUZZLE
SPOILERCLOSE/SPOILER
CORRECTION!!
ReplyDeleteThe diagram for the lights pattern should have had the entire bottom row as Xs and not Os. duh! sorry.
So it should be
ReplyDeleteXXXXOOXXXXXXXXX
XOOXOOXOXXXXXXX
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
lol @kitkatfox, I was just about to tell you what a great walkthrough you wrote and make that small correction, but you already did that on your own.
ReplyDeleteSo, now it's perfect! Thanks!
@Ellie kind of like switching left and right, I did on and off. lol
ReplyDeleteBut it isn't my fault they both start with O.
I was playing while you were all playing but I couldn't post for some reason, now I can. But now the walkthrough is there I'm still wondering what the letter A on the window was for.
ReplyDeleteRofl @kitkatfox, too bad "left" and "right" doesn't start with the same letter. That would make a good excuse for mixing them up as well.
ReplyDeleteI played this game at least 6 times without the walkthrough, only the posts. I never found the paper piece in the kitchen so I could never push the blue buttons. I must have clicked those kitchen cabinets a million times, and they never worked. Thanks for the walkthrough Kitkatfox and all the help ELLIE!
ReplyDelete@small-tool glad you have your "voice" back. The only thing I could think of for the letter A was that it was a hint that the lights were letters. This is a strech, but it is all I could come up with.
ReplyDelete@EnJoy. I'm glad it was of help. Great job escaping!
If you're having trouble changing the lights, make sure you've found all three of the clues or they won't work. I couldn't get the blue ones to change until I got the fourth piece of paper for the 56 clue from the bathroom.
ReplyDeletefound 4 white books... and OUT
ReplyDelete@kkf: once again, an incredible WT! If only I had access to your wt to start with, I would have known to NOT CLICK ANY OF THE COLORED BUTTONS ON THE CONTROL PANEL WITHOUT NOTING THE STARTING POSITIONS! (and, yes, I appreciate the subtlety of that statement).
ReplyDeleteWithout your help, we would all be so lost!
Ehm... zoz?
ReplyDeletei realised why that A clue is for.... simple... when you "CLOSE" the shutters you get the letter.. so it was a hint for that

ReplyDeletecud anyone pls explain properly..how to reach the bedroom ?
ReplyDeleteI found out what the Letter A stood for... Its what the white and orange squares needed. All you needed to do was change the ones that would shape an "A" and you would get the numbers. A glitch lets you get the numbers by pressing them all :P
