Submarine 2 is the second part of Submarine 1, point and click room escape game created by Symo and Keya. You escaped the room you were imprisoned in. Ok.. I was away from my computer..if you still need to know, to turn the light on.. drag the light bulb up onto the center of the screen toward the top, then click the switch. I had to do it many times before I found the right place.

one beside the glass on the door
the other at the down left of the third letter
what are the symbols (either put something that looks like them here, or describe them)

I am stuck.. the X should give us clues for the placement, but I am not sure.

The elongated ├──┤ can be found on a pipe in the very first scene inside the top left of the cross.
As for the Φ and the "B" symbols, they can also be easily placed inside the cross by seeing them in the right perspective (bottom left and top right respectively).
The only symbol without a placement is the S-shaped one, but it's logically set in the (empty) bottom right side of the cross.

OH OK I FORGOT I HAD A PLUG. I PLUGGED IT INTO THE WALL SOCKET, COMPUTER CAME ON.;>)

You need a cable from inside a locked drawer in PC desk.
The key is in the bottom pillow (same room)
Tear open the pillow with the knife.
Find the knife on a table in the kitchen.
Good luck in there.

I had the same problem... missed the socket for a long time!
couldnt start the machine at the end of the hall :((..but the weird red piece on the machine turn the handle to the right..but no luck
@Delight, moving the handle to the left goes after placing the red piece on that machine.
1. lever all down.
2. red cube/connector
3. handle to the left.
4. water.
...as shown in the PC.
and put the water in it ofcourse...but nothiiiiiiiiing...heeeeeeeeeeeeelp
@Delight, if you put water in it, then you're done! Go outside to the corridor now... there must be a trap door on the floor.

i didn't even try and i found out what the golden key was for.
OH finaly ty @DebFL ive been waiting for the answer.
Why were these split in to two parts? Makes no sense. Order for final placement of symbols makes no sense as far as I can tell ... And what about the key?? Or is there to be - oh joy of joys - a third part?!

Once the cut scenes are over, click the down arrow
You are in the hallway facing a door
Note the shape on the pipe in the upper right of the screen (thanks for seeing this, Edgar!)

Click the left door and see the symbol on the wall of the dark room
Back up
Click the window in the door at the end of the hall
See the symbol up right of the window

Note that door needs a handle
Enter the further right door
In the mess hall, get the knife from the bottom right corner of the nearest table on the left
Click the cupboards on the top of the left wall -- get the hammer
Back up
Note you can zoom in on the stove and turn the knobs
Back up
Enter the nearer of the right doors
Note the computer won’t turn on and the desk’s top drawer needs a key
Use the knife on the nearest bottom corner of the bottom bunk’s pillow -- get the small silver key
Back up
Click the back left corner of the room by the bottom bunk -- get the light bulb
Back up
Zoom on the further side of the desk and use the key in the top drawer -- get the
power cable
Back up and place the power cable in the outlet by the computer (the white thing on the wall. You don’t zoom in)
Click the computer screen and hit the on button
Read the emergency page -- note the pattern
Click the Mail icon and read the messages -- only the last one matters
Note the symbol in the bottom right corner
Read the documents
Scan through them and note the steps
Back up
Enter the left door again
Drag the light bulb to the top center of the screen to turn on the power
Use the hammer where the symbol was on the tile (second tile from the bottom all the way on the right of the back wall)
Get the red piece
Back up and enter the further right door
Zoom in the kitchen and enter the pattern

Aha! Here is where to use your gold key
Get the handle
Back up 3 times
Place the handle on the door at the end of the hall (don’t zoom in)
Click the handle (still not zoomed in)
Click the 2 black dots on the gray thing hanging from the ceiling
It’s a periscope. Note the weird star formation
Back up
Get the bucket
Back up
In the hall, place the bucket under the faucet on the left
The filled bucket will go back in your inventory
Click the door handle at the end of the hall again
Click the red machine
Follow the order of the instructions from the computer

Back up 2 times
Note the hatch in the floor and click it
Click the ladder
Enter the symbols you found
The pipe at the beginning had the H symbol in the upper left
The door had the null 0 symbol (0 with line) in the bottom left
Computer had the B symbol in the upper right
The periscope had an S shape in the stars (must be down right)
Back up and go upstairs
Click the door at the end of the hall
Exit out the open door
