I'm stuck staring down a shark with a vine, goggles, a knife, and a chewed-up berry. I can make a crab and a fish show up, but that's it.

Where'd you get the vine?
Gosh, after all that time and clicking all I had to do was slap him in the right place. Now I've made a wooden sculpture of a fish.
Nevermind I got it, it's sea weed
I think the vine was something I clicked in the shark scene without realizing it. It suddenly showed up. Not to be confused with the short piece of rope or string near the toucan.
Where'd you hit shark and with what to make him leave?
I think I just used the hand. I was clicking all over the screen in frustration and I think I just hit it on the back or something. Suddenly it swam away. Currently have a water balloon and a locked treasure chest.
I swear I've clicked every inch of that shark with every different thing in my inventory selected and I can't get him to leave!
AHHH!!! I got it, click fish, then click shark while fish is out and he chases fish!
And out!
Oh, suddenly the toucan was hungry.. go figure.. :)
That's it! I had been playing with that little fish before I hit the shark.
I'm done. The last part involved getting that little crab to crawl up and then using the water balloon.
WTH triggered the fish to come out. Tried several times clicking all over and then suddenly.. a fish..
Rest was a piece of cake..

How do you get knife?
if u keep clicking with the balloon on the crab it looks like you are hitting a bunch of crabs. it's hilarious
chris you have to have a slingshot and click the knife and then when the man comes out very quickly click with loaded slingshot and knock the man out
How do you trigger the fish to come out?
sometimes the most simplest games are the hardest for me

Make the goggles out of the bottle and rope. Cut the bottle with the knife

were is ship?
you need to do things first before you can dive down to the ship. Where are u in the game Fey?

Michele, I have goggles, berry and knife - I put stone in chimney to mark spot on water, but can't dive yet. :(
need to knock out man with butcher knife by using loaded slingshot. click towards top of his house and place a round mirrored object on it with then show a reflection in the water and if you have made the diving mask out of plastic bottle, rope and cut it with a knife, you can dive down.
I cant believe my luck... another Rutenberg I miss live :(

I did all of that Michele. But when I click on the reflection in the water nothing happens, even when I click on the goggles first.
Do I need to feed the toucan first?

I have a chewed berry, mask(using), and a wooden fish!
Have no clue how to open the stuck hatch...nobody even mentions it...have scrolled every pixel on both scenes...what do I do to get the hatch open??
What do the other things do?
okay...pop...found string of seaweed, combined it to fish, tied it to hatch door, added red berry juice...shark runs away with it to open door...

once you hit the crab with the balloon put balloon back click hole again out pops chest key open chest you are out
all gone off the game and no walkthrough too!!! am struck with chewed berry, oggles aND KNIFE.. I CAN GO UNDER WATER BUT CANT DO ANYTHING AFTER THAT.. can anyone help?????

i played yesterday but came back to help. to move the crab you need the wooden fish, which u carve out of the piece of wood on the right side of the ship. once thats done take seaweed form left side of ship tie it to carved fish tie that to handles on cargo hole put chewed mess on fish shark comes takes fish take chest out click hole where chest was get balloon read above how to get air for balloon click for crab hit crab with inflated balloon put balloon back click crab hole again out pops chest key unlock chest ur out ;>)
I cant even put the sling shot together?? what am I missing??? I havent even seen shark, crabs, baloon?????? please help!!
before u can make a slingshot make sure u have the add sign, drag the drawers to the slingshot or vice-versa then drag the rocks u picked up in front of the shack to the slingshot. click anything near shack to make fatass come out then beam him with rocks. take knife, and white thing right over fatasses stomach. put round thing on chimney?? get beam of light,get bottle out of water,rope in front of bird on ground, keep trying to feed bird the fruit until he eats. cut bottle with knife,get goggles piece, then tie on string. go to spot where beam is on water click spot ur underwater.read my comments above i will check in later if u need more help ;>)

The toucan seems like he wants something, but he isn't talking.
Let's take the red berry from the bush and offer it to him. Nope. Turns out he isn't hungry at the moment.
While were over there, though, let's get the piece of rope by his belly.
Oh! And there's a nice knife on the shore by the hut! Let's get it!
Yikes! The man in the hut doesn't want us to have it!
And he already has a knife! Greedy man!
Let's show him -- steal his underwear from the clothes line!
Boy am I glad they are clean.
We can also take the Y shaped stick from the bush under the left palm tree
This would make a lovely slingshot if we only had something to use as the rubber band

Combine that with the Y stick for the lovely slingshot.
We can even get the 3 stones from the shore for ammo (just combine it with the slingshot)
Knock on the window of the hut to get the man to come out, and the we'll quickly hit him with the slingshot and stone!
Hahaha that taught him a lesson. We can even search his pockets and find a small mirror.
Now we can take the knife from the shore.
The mirror we found seems odd. Like it is important. I wonder where it goes?
How about on the stone sign over the hut where that hole is?
Yep, perfect fit, and it makes a nice reflection.

A nice dive to cool off sounds nice, but the salt water would sting my eyes!

There is a lovely orange piece of wood on the deck of the ship, but the shark won't let us have it either.

We can click the hold doors on the deck, but they are stuck
No luck at all so far!
All we can get is a piece of seaweed from the side of the ship under the shark
Let's go back to the surface (click near the top of the screen) to think about this
Well, now the toucan looks hungry. Let's offer him the berry
Yuck! Ungrateful bird spit it out, and now we have a half-eaten berry.

But the idiot shark isn't paying attention. Quick! Tap him so he sees the fish.

What else do we do when we have wood and knife? Let's carve something!

The doors are still stuck, though, and the crab is guarding the shiny thing

We can even tie it off on the handles of the door. It looks almost real.
All it needs is some color. Let's add the berry juice to it for some red.
Yikes. The dumb shark thought that was blood.
Well, at least the doors are open. Let's look in the hold
Cool a treasure chest and a balloon. That's a bit weird.
Poor balloon is all flat.
Let's go back up to the surface and use the air tank to blow up the balloon.
Perfect! But it still hasn't gotten us the shiny or into the chest.
Try one more time to get the shiny thing. Darn crab!
Quick, use the balloon and blast him with air. hahahaha He swam away after that.
We can get the shiny thing and look! It's a key
I bet it opens the chest!
