Found chisel, 2 red round donut-shaped things, & a pic of some grapes. Bench moves to show how to place switches on box that's on wall.
Used "code" behind the bench on the metal knots, opened the secret bookcase

Hi! I think I caught up. Have two red rings, a chiesel and the paper that i used in the ceiling. I moved the levers to get the bookcases.
there are some codes in book on table; I put the pic of the grapes (at least it looked like grapes to me) on the ceiling to get more color codes, but don't know where they go

coin goes on the door knocker, then you can change the colors of those diamonds. Don't know what it wants yet, tho.
Coin in door knocker, activates diamonds above it
the colors match up to ceiling colors . blue= 1 etc.
Opens grate
put coin on door and you can change the colour of the diamonds
Think we need a mirror to put on the floor
diamonds are based on how many colors we get from the roof (blue is one, etc)
I tried to change the colors of the door like in the book on the table. Didn't manage yet.
once you put the paper (that looks like grapes) on the ceiling, you see color code for door diamond shapes
use ladder on bookcase without table - get another red circle

put ladder on bookcase to get red disc
diamonds open the gate, grab ladder, switch books to match pic in book, get key, use on chest for mirror, use mirror on floor to get big door key. then use the 4 rose parts.
make the 4 red circles look like the paper, and you're out. (YAY!)

pat, you used the paper on the roof? did you see how you had five green shapes, four orange shapes and so on? Put those in order, with blue (1) on the left. :) (1-5)

Hm... my rose looks nice according to me, but the gate still doesn't open. Need to move them a bit more.
ellie - make the middle one line up first. I found that easiest.
Finally it accepted my rose :)
Ok not sure what I am doing wrong but how do you place the ladder?

pat - click the ladder, put it in the nook without the chest/table. :)
Ellie - i found it easier. doesn't mean that it actually was. >_<

@Pat, make sure you are facing the books with no table in front, then you should just be able to drag it there.
@annaby, did you take a look at the rose on the table first?

@amy86 - there's only one set you can move - arrange them in the order of the bottom of the picture

Hi all, a bit late, just got in from work :o (
This was a good game, the rose was a bit tricky, loads of new games to play though, catch you later.
I've tried again and again to use the chisel on all the candles, but there is no coin available.
I still can't get the diamonds on the door.
Can somebody tell me how to put the colours please?
When I look up I see 1 blue, 3 red, 6 orange, 9 yellow and many green. How do I translate them to the diamonds on the door?
@Henk, after putting the paper in the ceiling, count the number of times you see each color. Blue is there one time. That's your first color (to the left in the door).
Colors are: blue, red, yellow, orange, green.
@Henk, you need to put the paper there that you find in the book on the desk.

pascale, are you trying the candle in the view ZOOMED on the book on the desk? (the book with the two rows of 5 colors?)

I put the coin on the door... stuck again.
how many circels we need? I have 3 and a whole circle for the rose, but can`t put it on the plate, after opening the door.

NAME-OF-THE-ROSE-WALKTHROUGH
(btw my first one, big thanks to all users above for their hints)
PART 1
Desk scene
Take the ROSE RING 1 lying on the floor, zoom out.
Zoom in at the desk. Take the CHISEL. Cut the candle with the chisel and take the COIN.
Take the PAPER lying on the book. Turn the book pages left and right and note the hints.
Note the picture of the rose.
Zoom out and look up at the ceiling.
Put the paper on the coloured area and note that the colours now are in different numbers.
Look down and turn left.
Bank scene
Zoom in at the bank and move it to the right by clicking. Note the hint at the wall. Zoom out and turn left.
Door scene
Zoom in at the door and put the coin at the door knocker. Now you can change the colours of the diamonds above the knocker. Change it according to the ceiling hint.
SOLUTION below.
You hear a sound. Zoom out and turn left.
Gate scene
The gate has opened. Zoom in and take the LADDER. Take the ROSE RING 2 lying on a barrel and zoom out.
Zoom in at the wall box at the right. Use the chisel on it to open it.
You have to move the knobs according to the wall hint.
SOLUTION below.
Press the right knob and hear a sound.
Zoom out, turn right and see a hidden compartment with books has opened.
Turn right and see a second book compartment.
Bank scene
Zoom in and use the ladder. You see now the upper book rows.
Note you can change the 5 left books in the bottom row. Highlight one of the books by clicking and click another book to change the position with the selected one.
Change the colours according to the colour hint in the desk scene book. Use the bottom colours of the hint.
SOLUTION below.
You get a GOLDEN KEY, take it.
Take the ROSE PART lying on the right books.
Zoom out 2 times and go to the gate scene.
PART 2
Gate scene
Zoom in at the chest, open it with the golden key and take the MIRROR.
Zoom out. Click on the middle of the floor and find the floor scene.
Floor scene
Put the mirror on the floor and note that it reflects the light to the right.
Zoom out and go to the door scene.
Door scene
Zoom in and open the lightened chest on the table. Take the KEY. Take the ROSE RING 3.
Zoom out and open the door with the key.
Put the rose parts on the grey area. Start with the middle part and attach the rings by putting them on the visible grey area.
Rotate the rose parts to make it look like the rose picture you've seen on the desk.
Maybe it needs a few trials. I started with the outer ring because I found it easier to set it correctly.
If it is solved the door opens and you are OUT.
Congratulations.

DOOR DIAMONDS:
Colours from left to right:
blue-red-yellow-orange-green
(according to the ceiling colours after putting the paper on it, there is 1 blue area, 2 red areas and so on...)
WALL BOX:

Ok,to figure out the rose I kind of cheated (I mean besides getting on here), I opened another browser window with the game loaded, zoomed in on the picture of the rose and put the two windows side by side so I didn't have to keep clicking back :)
Being here is cheating, but anyway finally I'm out
