A coin, a rope and a hook (used) and key so far.

Use rope with hook on key (on one of the barrels outside)
Cannonfuse and a skullkey
got out of room and now stuck with four map pieces, compass and sword

Have 5 map pieces, compass, and sword. Cant figure out what to do with maps or compass
okay, now miss only one piece of the map, lower middle one..
Maps go on the table behind wooden door (use skull key) and when the map is complete give the compass to the pirate.

Out! Missed the skull key. Tried to open that side of the box from the outside! Duh!
Hm, does anybody know what to do after being told to 'set a course to the west'? Neither the map nor the wheel is clickable

@Janet zoom in on a barrel to the right of the chest, and the coin is on the right hand side of the screen
Map pieces:
- right of barrel (back of 1st room)
- bottom left of chest (zoomed)
- bottom right corner at steering wheel
- under steering wheel
- botton of door
- under stool in pirate view
by the way, can anyone explain me how to post something bold?
Can't put my map together? Can't enter 2nd door under wheel deck? I'm stuck... What's with all the glitchy games today?
@SG did you get the skeleton key?
Click the floor to the right of the bottom of the nearest barrel
Get the rope
Back up using the down arrow in the bottom right corner
Click the floor between the rightmost 2 bars of your cage
Get the doubloon with the cannon on it and the fishing hook (the hook is at the bottom edge of your screen to the right of the sound symbol)
In your inventory, click the hook and then the rope
Click the 3 barrels on the right side of your cage
Use the hook/rope to fish the key off the top of the second barrel away from you
Back up and use the key on the door lock
Click to exit the cage
Turn left using the bar that appears when you move your cursor to the right edge of the inventory
Get the cannon ball from the left side of the screen between the barrels
Get the sword from the bottom of the screen
Click the cannon to turn it
Click the front of the cannon to zoom in
Get the skull doubloon from the bottom right corner of the screen
Turn right using the bar that appears at the right edge of the screen
Turn around
Zoom in on the barrels on the back wall
Get the matches from the bottom left edge of the screen
Get the first map piece from the right edge of the middle barrel
Use the sword on the top of the middle barrel to get the gunpowder
Get the sword doubloon from the top of the right barrel (against the right edge of the screen)
Back up and zoom in on the chest
Note the chest has holes for the 3 coins
Place them and click inside the open side
Get the fuse
While zoomed in, note the holes on the inside of the chest between the 2 sides
Use your sword there to find the skeleton key
Also get the second map piece
Back up 2 times and turn around
Place the fuse in the cannon’s hole
Zoom in on the front of the cannon and add the gunpowder and cannon ball
Turn right and use the matches to blow down the door
Click to exit
Get the compass from the mast at the right edge of the screen
Click the top of the deck above the 2 sets of stairs
Get the third map piece from inside the ship’s wheel
Get the fourth map piece from the bottom of the screen (left of the black thing)
Click the lower deck
Zoom in on the door
Get the fifth map piece from the bottom of the screen to the left of the back arrow
Now use the key
Enter the captain’s quarters
Get sixth map piece from the floor under the chair
Click the table and place the map pieces
Back up and give the captain the compass
Now back up out of the room
Click the upper deck
Click the ship’s wheel to match what direction the ghost captain told you
@Miller to make something bold, you type <b> whatever you want to type</b>
It will look like whatever you want to type (assuming I typed the codes correctly ^_^)

I liked the game!
My only complaint is having objects at the very bottom of the screen. If you misclick, then you open ads. Can you at least have the ads open in a new window? I hate restarting the games!

kitkatfox: thanks for your comment...we are developing an automatic save function. That way if you leave the game at any point you can resume the game at that point you left. :)
