Graham.
It's the drawer in the hallway.

Oh - that middle drawer - thanks!

Ohhh this one was a doozy for me ..... Loved it! Absolutely love it!!! Thank You @Miller... Great game!! (I just hope I have enough time to get done what I have to... this one was infuriating and addicting)

Got the compass, thx bigtank ! Now what ?

And the water is in the top left drawer (use key).

What to do at the wall?

Water ?

Where is the water?

ty for a great game miller

Escaped with compass and water (booze).
Really great game Miller.
Thanks.

Miller, this was a great game , i really enjoyed it !!!
Let them come, you rock !

I'm done, when a game gets frustrating and makes no sense it is time to cut your losses and move on.

That was very nice!
Thanks Miller.

And out, finally! Thanks for all of your help, thanks for a very good game Miller, see ou around everybody!! Take care!

Hic, I'm out now lol

I would never have done it without all the hints though, especially the maths. I hate maths Grrr

Brilliant game as usual Miller, you've got quite a fan club now :o)

Where do I put the code from the match-clues? It doesnt work in the number safe next to the book shelf

Amanda,
In the box in your inventory.
Don't remember where it came from.

right. Forgot about that box *blushes* thanks :)

2nd light series is:

--73
1-5-
--26
-4--

It took me forever!!!

I cannot pass the cupboard.
Tried almost everything. I did pit the colours right, followed the pattern with or without clicking.
No go

@miller
thanks again for this new one… even if i must confess i didn't like it as much as your previous games, which i found much more strange, original and beautiful
this one looks more like a self defiant's one
not bad, but…
well, "question de goût"

Tosca,
Make sure you use dark green (not light green) and after putting in the colors you should be able to open the middle drawer (without a color).

just came home and read some comments. thanks for commendations and critics. I'll consider them in the next game.

Yes ST I did dark green. I tried filling the colors with pattern, colours before following the pattern and so on.
I spendmore than an hour no it.
Will wait for the walkthrough tomorrow.
I really hope someone makes a video walkthrough for that part.

I am thinking that your games are really challenging Miller. I hate the Math, but i always hated math, because i am soooo bad in this, i always was..
But i love your games truly !

thanks Zazie! I'll make sure that in the next game there won't be any "hard" math.

Don't tell me that the game begins with an horribly fast "Simon says" ! I hate these !!!
Not a game for me.

WALKTHROUGH part 1
Solutions for codes will be in a post under this WT.

CORRIDOR with WINDOW and 2 DOORS
- GO DOWN.

CORRIDOR with 1 DOOR in the back
- Zoom in on the picture on the right and see the ORDER part of the DRAWERS CLUE. Don't zoom out, but click the bottom right part of the picture and take the COLORS PART of the DRAWERS CLUE.
- Zoom in on the panel next to the door and see the lights flashing. You have to copy that order by clicking those buttons (wanna see it again, just click a wrong button), after you've done the first right a new order appears and again and again and again (solution at the end of this walkthrough). If done correctly the door is open.
- GO IN.

CORRIDOR with DRAWERS
- The paper part of the clue (what number has what color) combined with the picture part of the clue (where to start and how to go on) will give you the answer what color what drawer has to be. If there's no number on the paper (like 2 and 4 etc.) just leave that drawer white then. (solution at the end of this walkthrough). After you've done all 6 colors/drawers click the middle drawer to open it and take KEY 1.
- Zoom out, GO DOWN and through the door.

CORRIDOR with WINDOW and 2 DOORS
- Use the key on the right door and go in.

BOOKCASE ROOM
- Zoom in on the bookcase and open the left door and take the CODE BOX, open the right door and take the MAGNIFIER.
- Open the white book on the top shelf (6th from the right) and see it's the BOMB CLUE (top right on the page). Now look at the equation (53+67=150) and see it's not correct. Make it correct (on paper or in your head) by moving just one match and the number of that match is the BOMB NUMBER.
- Open the left book on the 2nd (from the top) shelf and see it's the PLANE CLUE (bottom right) on the page. Do the math and the number you get is the PLANE NUMBER.
- Open the 5th (from the left) book on that second shelf and see it's the SKULL CLUE (top right on the page). Again the equation (179+18=255) is not correct, so make it correct by moving just one match and the number of that match is the SKULL NUMBER.
- Open the fourth (from the left) book from the third (from the top) shelf and see the TV-CLUE.
- Open the sixth (from the right) book from that third shelf and see it's the SNOW CLUE ( top right on the page). Again the equation (185+15=270) is not correct, so make it correct by moving just one match and the number of that match is the SNOW NUMBER.
- Open the 7th book (from the right) on the bottom shelf and see it's the FLAG CLUE (bottom right on the page) count all the F's in the text (not the F on top) and that's the FLAG NUMBER.
- Zoom out, GO DOWN.

WALKTHROUGH part 2

CORRIDOR with WINDOW and 2 DOORS
- Zoom in on the window and use the magnifier on top of the bottom right window and see you have to math with the numbers you found. So do;
(plane+snow) / (flag+skull) x bomb = CODE for the CODE BOX.
- About item the code box and put in the number and take the KEY #2.
- Zoom out and use the second key on the left door and go in.

TV ROOM
- Take the LIGHTER (bottom right on the floor).
- Zoom in on the cabinet and open the right door and take the CANDLE.
- Turn on the tv and you only see a scrambled/noise picture. Now remember the tv-clue from the book, so put the antenna's like that and see your WALL SAFE NUMBER (different every game, and if it's less than 4 numbers you have to use 0's. Like if you have 123 the code will be 0123).
- Zoom out, GO DOWN and into the right room.

BOOKCASE ROOM
- Zoom in on the wall safe and put in your number and open it and take the CROWBAR.
- Zoom out, GO DOWN (2x), Through the door and down again.

CORRIDOR with DOOR in the back and DOOR on the left
- Use the crowbar on the floor board that's loose and take the HAMMER.
- GO THROUGH the DOOR in the back and into the DOOR on the LEFT.

TV ROOM
- Use the hammer on the crack in the backwall (on the right) and take KEY #3.
- GO DOWN (2x) and THROUGH THE DOOR.

CORRIDOR with DRAWERS
- Use key #3 to open the right door and go in.

DESK ROOM
- Zoom in on the desk and open the left door and take the DYNAMITE.
- Open the bottom drawer and take the SCISSORS.
- Put the candle on the X on the desk and use the lighter on it and wait till a DOTS and DASHES CODE appears on the wall. Decipher it.
- GO DOWN (3x), Through the door and then through the door on the left.

WALKTHROUGH part 3

TV ROOM
- Zoom in on the cabinet and then zoom in on the drawer with code and put in the code and take KEY #4.
- GO DOWN and in the door on the right.

BOOKCASE ROOM
- Zoom in on the bookcase and open the 6th (from the left) book on the bottom shelf and use the scissors on it and take the SCREWDRIVER.
- Zoom in on the panel on the right, use the screwdriver to remove all 4 screws and take the cover off. Take the AXE.
- GO DOWN (3x) and through the door in the back and DOWN again

CORRIDOR with DOOR in the back and DOOR on the left
- Open the door on the left with key #4 and go in.

ROOM WITH BRICK WALL
- Zoom in on the bricks and use the axe in the middle so a hole appears. Put the dynamite in and use the lighter on it. KABOOM, and you're back in the...

CORRIDOR with DOOR in the back and DOOR on the left
- You could go back into the room and go out throught the hole, but the dynamite explosion did more.
- Go through the door in the back and in the room on the left.

TV ROOM
- The tv fell down. Zoom in on it and take KEY #5 (on the floor in front of it).
- Zoom out, GO DOWN (2x) and through the door in the back.

CORRIDOR with DRAWERS
- Zoom in on the drawers and open the middle one again and this time you can take the drawer completely out. Take the COMPASS. And use key #5 to open the top left drawer and take the bottle of BOOZE.
- Zoom out (for fun you could go in the room on the right again to take the candle back), GO DOWN and in the DOOR on the LEFT.

ROOM WITH BRICK WALL
- Zoom in on the wall, go through the hole the dynamite made and choose yes to leave and you're out.

DRAWERS COLORS

Dark Green - xxxx- Black
xxxxxx - xxxxxxx - xxxxx
Red - xxxxxxxxx - Yellow

BOOKS
BOMB
- If you take away match 16 and put it in between 1 and 4 you get 93+57=150 and that's correct. So for the bomb it's 16.
PLANE
- 1000+40+1000+30+1000+20+1000+10=4100 and that's the plane number.
SKULL
- If you take away match 18 and put it horizontal on 14 you get 179+76=255 and that's correct. So for the skull it's 18.
SNOW
- If you take away match 4 and put it horizontal on on 17 you get 195+75=270 and that's correct. So for the snow it's 4.
FLAG
- Finished, Files, oF, oF, scientiFic, oF. And that's 6 F's so for the flag it's 6.

CODE BOX
- After you get all the numbers from the books the math on the window is this;
(4100 + 4) / (6 + 18) x 16 and that's 4104 / 24 x 16 and that's 171 x 16 and that's 2736.

DOTS AND DASHES
- Well dots and dashes is Morse code of course and if you decode it you get the word CODE.

thanks for the perfect walkthrough small-tool! but why didn't you mention the thing on the table where you can place the candle ;-)

Lol Miller,
Still thinking about a comment on that subject, so it's not in the walkthrough.
Btw I thought the small tool would be destroyed by something. I can remember you posting something about that a while ago.

riiiighhht! you wishes are my command, next time you'll die of great pain.

ANYONE HERE?

HELP....ANYONE HERE?

hey cindy! what's up?

Anyone here?

Sorry. my screen kept messing up! Sorry for the triple posting! I figured it out. Great...very hard...but great game!

It makes you feel really silly when you make really dumb moves and can't figure them out. Thanks for responding though Miller!

APPENDIX TO THE WALKTHROUGH

In the DESK ROOM there's a PAIR of TWEEZERS on the desk called only a small tool.
You won't be needing it and so you can't pick it up, not when rotated 180 degrees clockwise and not even when rotated 180 degrees counter clockwise.

It's a reference to a dispute Miller and I have (for quite some time now) about if there's a difference between rotating things 180 degrees clockwise or counter clockwise.

But I've seen the light now. And that's not because the threat is there a small tool will be destroyed in Millers next game (although it does count).
No, I thought about it a lot (in fact it was the only thing I could think about the last months) and I learned it does make a big difference in quantum physics, but in all day escape life it can be a difference too. Just think about a safe or a clock. It's a difference there if you rotate 180 degrees clockwise or counter clockwise.
So please Miller don't terminate the small tool in your next game or at least make it so it can be healed again.

brilliant appendix !

… and brilliant walkthrough, too

Thank you, Miller =)
That was a fantastic game - well, after the light-buttons part, which nearly made me give up!
At least I stayed at the same level whenever I got it wrong [Thank you for that!], which encouraged me to keep going. Mind you, it took me a while to realise that because the lights were just too fast to see!
The human mind can only remember a sequence of seven in the short term, so I don't suppose anyone will get it right first time, except through sheer luck =)
I enjoyed everything after that, and I hope to play again in a few months when I've forgotten how I escaped.
I'll definitely not be starting a new game though =P

Thank you, small-tool/Emiel/tweezer, for the nicely set out walkthrough. I was able to use it to locate the lighter without spoiling the rest of the game =D

Haha, nice appendix =)
if Miller needs to know for certain, he should just ask a snail =D

Hi Miller if you've come back to read any late posts.
Now that I'm home I finally got to finish playing this. I thought it was great. Difficult, but solvable and really fun. I had trouble with the math code and clicking in the right spot to get the paper behind the picture. But otherwise I greatly enjoyed it! Nice work!

might be a really good game. but can't get past the stupid blinking lights at the door. way toooooooooo fast. not the game for me.

Anyone still there? what is the clue fot the letter draw under the tv?

@Annari: put candle on table, light it, go out from room, return back and You will see a morse code on the wall over the candle. Use Google. :-)

OMW that lighted button puzzle is HARD!

Congratulations with the game Miller.
You really got me going.

Gosh I'm still stuck at the drawers! I've followed the arrow pattern clue, but it's not helped any :(

Damn, okay, now I have found the picture clue.........

Wow! Shoooo! That was a tough one Miller! But it was GOOD!! And thanx for the WT Small Tool!! Couldn't have done it without your help ;)

@Miller: Great game! My definition of a great game? One that exhausts my efforts and sends me looking for help, with the ultimate solutions being logical enough that I go "DUH!" and wish I had tried just a little bit harder! Thanks for the fun! (And everyone else: thanks for the help!)

Sorry, gave up with the lights. I feel I have missed a great game because of a very unforgiving first puzzle. Shame.

About the lights puzzle: a way to tacle it, and make it seem achievable, is to treat it like a "Guess-the Sequence" puzzle, with just longer sequences, and a superfast hint.
You can do it without Miller's kind [if elusive] nudge.
If you press a button, and don't see the sequence again, you know you've hit the correct button. Make a grid on paper and mark this one off as "1". Try again, using that button first and click any other one.
If it's wrong, the sequence will flash again, but if it's the correct second button, no flashing, so mark down the "2" on your grid.
It just means you have to keep repeating the order that you've discovered, making it longer and longer, until a new sequence starts.

Animation on my pathetically small pc is so slow, it's more like a slide show, yet I managed to get the buttons right in the end.
Don't abandon this because of the flashing buttons part - it's too fine a game to simply give up.

wt cant do the lights, someone help please

"tacle" in my post above should be "tackle" - sorry

I don't get it guys!?
If you can't do the light puzzle why don't you look at the very first part of the solutions part of the walkthrough.
The light puzzle is the same in every game, so you just can follow those steps.

@ sherry12:
you can do it!!!!!
If I can, anyone can.
See if my post just above, at 1:12pm can help?

@ small-tool/tweezer:
maybe they aren't seeing the "newest" comments page again?

nvm finally got the door open, great wt S-T

Yep Rookwings,
That's still a problem. Don't know why the moderators changed it (back in the old days when you posted a comment you were redirected to the newest comments) and don't know why they don't change it back after a lot of complaints.
Anyway, reading the comments on the first page should be help enough. I think all the solutions for the light puzzle are posted there as well.

Thanks sherry12.

By the way Rookwings with that new kind of nickname (tweezer) it somehow reminds me of that American band (that sounds like a Britpop band) Weezer and especially their number 'Buddy Holly' in the setting of that old soap/comedy Happy Days.
And I can't get that number out of my head now.
Gonna listen to some good old seventies punkrock to cure myself.

congratulations sherry 12! Now enjoy the less frantic puzzles =)

@ small-tool:
Yes, I was wondering if they'll ever change it??
In the meantime, maybe one of us can remind people to click "newest", on the first page, if the comments are likely to go over 200?
Trouble is, I rarely catch those games before 200 =)
So many people get lost - it happens nearly every time!

Never heard of them! Now I'm off to investigate =D

This comment has been removed by the author.

rookwings thank you , I did it , also having problem with the magnifier,I click the magnifier, but doesnt do anything on the window. what am I doing wrong help please

sherry12,
There are little scribblings on the top window sill of the little window on the bottom right. Use your magnifier there.

finally did the magnifier, oh boy im getting better thanks to you guys

Excellent game, Miller!

Got out with a maximum of 3 hints used from you guys! (Paper location, the fact that those were matchsticks, and the location of the compass.)

@Miller, I hope you're still checking comments - I couldn't play this when it was new so I saved it for a time when I could really relax into it. My comments:
First off, what a truly great game! And so different from your last one (a mark of genius imho).
As for the lights that everyone complained about, they were in fact quite daunting (although "daunting" is probably not the word I would have used at the time :P) but I used the same approach that @Rookwings posted above and eventually got through it.
I think the hardest thing for me to solve (even with all the helpful comments) was the TV code. Mine was 5380 and I never would have gotten that if someone hadn't pointed out to @small-tool, after he posted the image from his game, that a certain shape was an eight.

Anyway, I really can't give you enough in the way of compliments to express how much I appreciate this game! Your games seem to have it all- great puzzles (difficult, but not impossible, especially with help from all the great posters here), wonderful graphics, and a great sense of humor (I'm so glad @small-tool explained the 180 degree comments!)

Keep them coming! Your fan base continues to grow!

Was so proud of myself figuring out the equation all by myself. I referred to the comments to see why it didn't work and saw @Miller's spoiler. I have that exactly and it won't open. Tried entering and clicking the handle and entering it then clicking the X (which I think I'm right to assume is actually "clear"). So unfortunately I can't continue. :(

What a great challenge though. If the safe gets fixed can someone post it so I can come back and finish? I really was enjoying this a lot.

@Miller you make a great escape game!

Why does't the 4 digit code work for me?
