I just finished. It was way too short, they used to be longer.
Anyway played without trousers till the end and nobody thought it was rather odd?

I feel really really really dumb. I can't even get past the wardrobe in the first room. He put his coat on and it appears he picked up a magnifying glass but I don't know where that went. If there is an inventory, I don't see it.

hi all. love the art of the game, but i'm missing the "main story" about those pants. just taking them in the shop is a bit boring.
@4red3s: no, there isn't any inventory. just click the footprints in the right corner of the room (the mag glass makes them appear).

@4red3s if you click the footprints on the left side of the room, you die, but if you click the ones below the window, he will go out.
