It seems like we should be able to lift the hood, but I can't. I have a hand crank, four bolts, hubcap (plate), tube, funnel and oil

I lifted the motor and there is a key under it but since then cannot work the crane

For those who can not load the game. in Firefox is loaded immediately. in I.E is not loaded.
You have to try and start the car before you can put gas in
put the plate on the wheel, after the bolts @swissmiss
Then you can put the oil in - left side

@Jizzabelle: the tube is for this thing at the right side of the game... put the tube there and you'll get oil out of this...

help please! I finally got the hood open, but I can't find where to drain the engine oil! I'm not so good at mechanics, I think...
I have the hood open; can't find anyplace to put the oil as well. Tried everything on the left side; that engine will be smoking for a long time as much oil as I've tried to pour over it!
Franza, have you already placed the pan under the front of the car before you opened the hood?

@lauren: after putting the tire, lower the car and put away the jack; after that you can fix the tire with the bolts and put the plate...

uh, you have to put on lugnuts before you lower the car, programmer. LOL.
@renaferr: how? I tried everywhere! Do I miss something? Someone before wrote about a pan to be put under the hook before opening it, but which pan?
i drained the old oil under the car. there's a quadriculate pan above shelf. But i can't put new oil on the left side.

Found out how to put oil in. You have to remove the cap first. Not impressed by this game. Everything has to be done in a particular order, so that made it very confusing. And who uses a funnel to put gas in their car but not the oil? Has the nerd-bot who made this game ever actually worked on a car?

Well, I did it, for future escapers. It's my first walkthrough and I'm not anative English-speaker, so, please, forgive me if it contains may errors.
WALKTHROUGH - PART 1
Collect 3 BOLTS and a PLATE from the floor;
Zoom on the right shelf and take the 4TH BOLT, the ENGINE OIL, the FUNNEL, and the TRAY;
Zoom under the car and take the TUBE;
Operate the hook clicking on the arrow buttons to lift the engine (RRDU)
Zoom on the engine to take the KEY
Zoom on the machinery thing on the right; get the HAND CRANK
While zooming in, click on the top left of the machine and remove the cap;
Insert the tube in the machine; you will get PETROL.
Zoom out; drag the jack under the car
MANY errors, I meant... anyway:
WALKTHROUGH - PART 2
Zoom on the jack and lift the car until it stops; while in the zoomed view, take the SPANNER from under the rear tire
Zoom out; now you can collect the tire from the exit door and put it in the car
Zoom in to the jack again and lower the car until it stops (click 3 or 4 times); take away the jack from the car
Once the jack is no more under the car, you can put the bolts, tighten them with the spanner, and put the plate over them.
Time to try to start the car: while still in zoomed view, insert the key in the door of the car, open the door and take the key back
Enter the car and insert the same key in the hole in the middle of the wheel
Click on the key to start the engine. Oh no! No fuel and bad oil!
Exit the car, close the door and zoom to fuel injection part; remove the cap, put the funnel and then the petrol; put the cap back and zoom back twice.
Zoom on the front of the car; put the tray under it and remove the cap from under the plate to drain the oil.
Put the cap back and zoom out;
Now you can click on the hook to open it; zoom on the open hook and remove the cap from the middle of the left side; insert there the new engine oil, close the cap and zoom out.
Close the hook and get back inside the car; try to start it again: it works! Zoom out twice to be back to the first view and zoom on the panel on the left of the exit door;
Insert the hand crank and turn it manually until the door is completely open; zoom out and
CONGRATULATIONS! YOU FIXED THE CAR AND ESCAPED THE GARAGE!!!

Hm...very confusing hints...Got four bolts and a key, oil, a petrol cane, a plate, a funnel and a hand crank. What's a 'jack'...and where's the 'tray'? What to drag to where?

@ ginger: i'm sorry if I haven't been clear in my walkthough, but I'm Italian and my English is far from being perfect, especially relating to mechanics and car parts. This was my first walkthrough, and I (tried) to write it only because nobody else did. Anyway, I'll try to be more specific.
The TRAY is on top of the shelves on the right. When you zoom in on the shelf you should see it on the top (it's the big, rectangular, silver thing) and you can get it. Play in full screen mode, or you may not notice it.
The JACK is that thing on the floor which seems like a toy car. I've read others calling it "jack" in the previous comments, so I used this word. It's a thing you use to lift a car when changing a tire and you should drag it to under the car, more or less in the middle of the side. I'm sorry, but I can't explain any better. Maybe I should avoid doing any other walkthough, but I just wanted to be of some help...
@franza, I didn't play this game yet so I can't tell if your wt is good or not, but I'm still sure it's helpful to lots of people! It's great you made the effort and wrote one! Besides, there will always be people that help even if there is a wt already. Don't let this prevent you from writing again. Congrats on your first WT, and hopefully there will be many more from you!
Thank you Ellie! I very rarely play live with others, and I sometimes get stuck in a point which is not covered by comments, so I always find walkthroughs very useful. Moreover, this is a linear game, and you must perform some actions before you are able to do others,so I decided to write my own walkthough to help all the persons that, like me, play the game much later.

I really like mechanical problem games, as I love machines in real life, and this one was quite true to what one would actually have to do, which I enjoyed.
My only warning to others less experienced [and let's face it, there are plenty of drivers who have no idea how to even check their oil] is ALWAYS put the nuts on a wheel, hand-tight BEFORE letting the jack down =D I've seen a few nasty accidents involving broken car parts and blood when this advice has been ignored!
Well, that was my "health-and-safety" moment.
My first car was an ancient Austin Mini, and I often had to carry out roadside repairs. It was so funny when gallant blokes used to stop to try and "rescue" me, only to realise that I was more capable than they were! =D
As I said, thank you for a fun game, and for tricking me into searching for a chain harness to put around that engine to lift it up. I looked for ages, haha.
A wheel brace is better than an open-ended spanner for tightening wheel nuts, and that water bottle inside the car's engine needs a cap.
Oh, how I miss tinkering with engines ;) =)
A walkthrough on how to get the game to LOAD would be good. I had hoped that it might have been fixed by now but it seems not. Oh well... hopefully the next one will work because it seems that there are a lot of people who couldn't play this..

The game was very good but I had a hard time finding the pixel to get inside the car....it just kept opening and closing the door for a while!!!LOL

I have never met a spanner that could get enough torque to tighten those lug nuts!!!!!that is what the tire iron is for....yes, I have changed a tire more than once...but, oh, so many years ago!!!
Well, the past few games (four or more) by CafeCafeGames would not load for me. I'm on a Mac. Could that be it? That would be really unfortunate... I like these games so much... Please CafeCafe, I look at all the ads too! Make me able to play!

What ruins this game is that you have to do *everything* in a particular order. Hey, first I remove the old oil, then I try to start the car and find out that there's a problem with the oil. D'oh! Gee, hadn't figured that one out. But before you try and start the car, you can click on the oil cap until you're blue in the face, but nothing will happen.
Also, as pointed out by others, it appears that the author of the game is only aware of car repair as an abstract concept.
