don't know exactly how i did it, but opened box to the right. Think i has to do with the knobs. I turned the second one 1 time and the fourth 2 times.
Hope that works for the rest.
just ignore most figures @marita. only te blue triangles, red squares and yellow orbes count.

Ah, add the numbers up.
if that works, look at signs that are on right pillar. At left pillar first one is in place, second one must turn 1 times, third is in place and fourth must turn 2 times. How you know what i mean.
There are two rows consisting only of circles (turn knob under circle twice) and one row of stars (turn knob under star once) That's the answer to Ivons solution ;-)

If I move my mouse over the right eye it opens and shows a 5
add 55 to 4 digit number, put that into globe then place mirror at back

After placing the plate, you can open left and right place to it. Screws tell you to add those numbers to number on plate.

I'm lost. Got metal plate, put it on square. Can't find any more knobs or clues (mouse over eye nothing happens). number (6123) doesn't work on computer.
OK added 55 to number (no reason why), and got strange blue shapes.
Have taken the triangles from the clue to the left

Look at square on far left, then go to computer and enter codes in "Z" shape for 4x4 number square.
Which numbers for exit?
take the red triangles and place them on the pad SM, then you can use them (red and pink clues) and get a 4 number digit that opens a closet. But completely stuck with the machine in there.

Yay out. For last clue, look at frame.
Next to the Z is a pad with black arrows wich doesn't do anything yet. Go left, take al red triangles from the clue you used on the Z, place them on the pad and use the big clues that are lamps on the wall. (I think you have to use the red lights first, then the pink lights)
SwissMiss: Take the red triangles from the box, put them in the pad on the desk and use the hint on the right door for code.

SM, pad next to red Z need arrows. You can find them in the view total left. Click on the four triangles. These are your arrows.
How do you use the frame? I know that Jan often does that, but where do you start?

Swiss, did you take out the red triangles. They're like puzzle stones that you place in the pad for it to work.

Christina: Get red triangles from most left silver frame. Put them in the arrow box (right part under screen). Then use the arrowcode given on the right screen. Then your numbers will appear.

@Christina, did you get the numbers from the computer? When I entered them at the door, I got a new clue. Then got 4 numbers, but the top to bottom order as clued isn't working for me.

I have no japanese signs om my pc (on purpose) so I do see the nails that have to change, but I cannot read what they say. I think you have the order mixed up @Puzzle. I think I was the first to use the numbers from the computer, but I need a spoiler to use those from the frame.

Puzzle, you have the order wrong. The 5 was in third position. Can't remember the others.
the clue says go from top to bottom
first (if I remember correctly) is 2 sideways - if you go over the nail it shows a number - then follow it down -

@Puzzle: you have the right numbers, but wrong sequence. Start with 8. The 7 inn the last place is right.

@ Catqueen, tnx, but I was the one to give that clue. I'm just stuck on a bug (only see wood were the nails dissappear, thought it was another clue referring to some pixel I hadn't found yet at first, now I know you have numbers there but the only one to spoil them is Puzzle and those numbers don't work ;-)
OK 8257 (brute forcing with clues) worked.
Very confusing -- usually I found Jan's puzzles very logical once you figure them out. This wasn't.

Going back through to see if I missed anything.
Finally found the clues at the "eyes", but had to back out then come back in after placing plaque.
Still don't see a clue for the order on the last door. (other than the top-to-bottom which doesn't work). I don't see anything on the floor.
Oh, I guess hbear meant after you enter the 4 numbers correctly, the floor is how you get out.
The red button on the side of the 4 digits panel was a pixel hunt !

I'm in the same room, Mazomi, but I've no idea for the numbers and for the letters codes. I have only 50 on the left "eye" and 5 on the right "eye".
i'll never get out of here. i'm probably missing something very obvious. kudos to pascale, at least there's two of us stuck
Pascale and mazomi, if you read the earlier comments, they tolled you that screws tell you to add left and right "eye" to the number in between. And for word, L is not correct. It's a C.

I guess everybody is gone already. This is the first time I have not been able to finish a game with the help given on this site. Atleast four times ppl commented they couldn't read the word and no one bothered to post it once they got it. The only clue.... L is C. Doesn't help if you cant read the rest of it either!!

Directions and numbers in next room, after solving the shapes puzzle...
Stuck again with red and purple arrows.
Great game.
But still wondering if I missed two hints;
- Was there a hint why we had to start with Spring in the first room?
- Was there a hint why we had to start with the red arrows and then then purple arrows (and not the other way around) in the last room?
@s-t. I guess spring is kown as first year´s season.
About the arrows, I think no matter if you start with red or purple. I did purple first, and worked.
I loved this game but some of it was confusing ...needed all the help given...Thanks!

Small=tool, I thought it was normal to start seasons with Spring (Spring-Summer-Autumn-Winter)
well, no numbers appear in my circles flanking the 6123 plaque, no matter what I do. It seems like every game I've played for the past few days is buggy!

That seems logical (to start with the first season of a year).
Btw. just played again but with the arrows it doesn't work if you start with purple.
But it does work if you only do the red arrows like Ashley said.
The first time I played it worked as well with first doing red and then purple, but I guess it already was ok after doing the red ones and clicking more arrows after that didn't change anything anymore.
But playing the second time I saw something else in the first room. There are two blue triangles and two red squares, but also a yellow circle!
So why wasn't the code triangle-triangle-circle-square-square?

You have to click them and drag them up.
As I recall, S-T, I entered that first code as triangle-triangle-square-sqare-circle (the clue showed the shapes in that order).

Take the little arrows from the picture all the way on the left and put them on the arrow pad on the desk to make it operational.
Then click the order of the big red arrows;
Up-up-up-left-down-down-down and then you have the 4-digit code.

In the view where you see the numbers (that's the desk view) you go left to where the big purple arrows are. There's also a picture on the wall with triangles, square and circles. Take all 4 triangles from that picture, those are your arrow buttons to use on the desk.
So totally confused at the very start of the game. I can't find the button that will let me enter the season code. Please someone describe where the button is?

Elevator w/ up down arrow, need clue...
Go right, see you need 4 digit code, click bottom right of screen to find a compartment, open it and press red button (note, if you don't push the button, you cannot zoom in again and must start over because the code will not work without it!!!)
Go right, grab SD and look at pictures...assuming we start with spring, you make a 4 digit code...

Go left, input code and press the button underneath to turn the shelves
find a mirror on bottom shelf, right of books
Notice the different shapes and colors of vases
Go right twice, get paper from floor and look at the code box in front of monitor...
You have 2 blue triangles, 2 red squares and one yellow circle....press the buttons, left to right
The code works (?) after just pushing the first 2 buttons, twice each....and gives an arrow clue
Go right and use code to open door
Enter and get glue from the floor
Note the door ahead needs a 4 letter code...look for the clue
Go right, get paper from floor
Click the left "thing" and see all the shapes
Click the "right thing" and for some unknown reason( to me, anyway) you press the 2nd knob once and the 4th knob twice then the button, zoom out and open compartment above to get a number plaque
Put it on the left thing ...then click and move mouse UP ,above the left and right circles to lift the "eyelids" to see #'s 50, 5, making the 6123 into 6178
Go left twice and use code on the sphere to open it, about view the mirror and put glue on it,
put it in the colored space behind the opened sphere for the letter code....
If you turn you head to the left you can see from top to bottom FOLT...but the bottom of the O is thicker so it makes the L, a C.....FOCT
Go right, put in the letters and press button to open the door to third room!
Enter, click desk, then red button to see a Z clue
Go left and trace the Z on the red shapes pad....

Go right and use that on desk...now the screen on wall is full of numbers...hmmmm, what now??
Go left and you find you can click the triangles and take them

If you opened the door there's a new hint and a new code panel.
The hint is about the buttons/nail-thingies that are on the frame around the game.
So to find the numbers click those buttons/nail-thingies.
The first is 2 ->
So that's the second from the left button on the game-frame. etc.

You can only take them after you've used them first as a hint on how to click the circles, triangles and squares on the desk.
after getting the glue on the floor, need a 4 letter word, cant find it help
You have to put the glue on the backside of the mirror and after you've done the number code on that big black macine on the left you can glue the mirror on the wall on top/behind that machine to see the letters.
I normally love the Jan's room games, but this was pretty vague to me and I had to come to the wt for help. Thanks @nokra! I never understood the dials, and I didn't try to add the 50 and 5 to 6123.
The hint for the dials are the hanging strings with shapes. There are two of them with only circles (so the circle dial has to be clicked two times) and there's one with only stars (so the star dial has to be clicked once). The other strings have different kind of shapes in one string, so nothing else to click.
Ok, ty @st! That is at least an explanation. I only looked at the front shapes (square, triangle x 3) and didn't understand it. Well, an explanation, but still to vague for me. Thanks anyway!
I think I can say without any doubt that we all consider the dials code a bad one... and no matter how much we try to explain it, or if one of us can hit the correct explanation (the one in the author's mind), the code will still remain a bad one. Too bad for a Jan's, which it became one of my latest favorite series.
Anyway, if there's still some place to the "try to figure out the code" contest, I'm giving you another try:
Maybe the dials are to be moved to resemble the positions of the black lines the shapes in the left "thing" are attached to? We have the top-to-bottom clue on the note, and we have a shapes order (square, star, triangle, circle) on the safe.
Then, 1st. shape (square) on first row (top) is in the middle of them all, and the black line attaching it could be seen (lots of imagination required) as a vertical line.
2nd shape is star. Star in 2nd row is in the left side, and the line attaching it could be seen as a diagonal one... and so on.
I prepared a screenshot, which hopefully will explain better what I'm trying to say here... although I'm not saying I have the absolute truth about it. Just another of many ideas that might come... and I agree on the vagueness of this code/clue.

You are already one room further and you already got the numbers projected on the wall.
Now you have to take the 4 little red arrows from the picture in the left view and then put those on the other pad on the desk with the black arrows and then that pad will be working too.
Then click those (now) red arrows in the order of the big red arrows, so up-up-up-left-down-down-down and then zoom out and see the projected numbers are now 4752 and that's the code you need.

That's with looking at the middle column where the square and the triangle are already in place according to the order of the shapes on the code box together with the paper hint (go from top to bottom), but the star has to make 1 step and the circle 2 steps to be in the middle column as well.
That's another good one @s-t. Neither better nor worse than any other, but... to mirror the hint just because there are mirrors around the room? idk... a bit hard to buy... Wouldn't that arrows hint mean use the shapes on the left to solve the code on the right, and then use the plate from the right thing on the left one? Probably... Again, we are just in the land of assumptions.
But that new explanation you provide does make sense if trying to see it like that. Which one was the gamemaker thinking when the game was developed? Hmmm...
Oh, and you said it was Yvon's, and not yours. Well, you said it yourself... far-fetched too, I agree.
Well, let's just hope future Jan's are better. I mean, clear and logical in the hints and codes, but without decreasing the difficulty, don't you think? :)

@nokra, thank you for that WT!!! Funny, the hardest thing for me was positioning my cursor ABOVE the circles and pulling them up, lol. I got the dials right away the first time, using the same logic @Edgar used. It just seemed obvious to me (whereas the thing that was obvious to everyone else - the circles - totally escaped me!)
i keep getting stuck at the eyes! i've tried 4 times now, i can only move one eye, and i can't back up, and i can't click my inventory :(

I think of the first season of the year as winter (maybe because my birthday is in January?!).
The vases/flasks - there is a yellow half-circle, but not a yellow circle.
Thanks to small-tool's comment at 12:42 I finally understand what I was doing wrong at the end. I did the top numbers from the "Room 5" placard rather than from the corners!
