found a lot of stuff through random clicking. opened a drawer using the clue from the computer screen.
I have a memo, a bottle, 2 sticks, and a string. Stuck.
ok I got a game over when I knocked something off the fireplace.
I died from the mousetrap to the left of the bed.
This one's a bit more challenging than previous games. Got to save a lot I guess.
used the shard of glass to cut the yarn ball.
When the robot is on top of the bed, there's a note under the pillow which gives you a clue as to what letters to use from the computer on the desk.
Now have memo with numbers on left and letters on bottom, as well as red ball of string, two sticks, and a pet bottle.
Too many buttons on my rollerball mouse LOL accidental restart.
well I am stuck with memo, knight memo, a PET bottle, glass shard, a stick, another stick that I tied the yarn to, and two stones(one is used).
The knight memo is for the chessboard, use it to open the next drawer up.
trying to understand code paper must relate to chessboard and maybe the second drawer codebox
Where is the glass shard? I have two sticks, bottle, memo, knight memo and ball of string.
Also have four numbers, white, black, red and blue, but no place to use them.

glass shard is behind the mouse trap in the black hole. You get the stones in there and use one of them to break the watch.
@Martin I have been trying that, but I can't figure out how to get the right code from the chess board.
Glass shard is from breaking the watch in the mouse hole...go up x 2.
Dont understand number code for top drawer....
JBG...letters @ the bottom, numbers down the side L->R and enter the letter first.

Leroy, where you get the PET bottle, click again behind the cupboard to get the number order for the top drawer.
I am still not getting the chess board clue. I must be having an off day.
Code doesnt work Ill check all numbers again LOL unless there is some twist to using it....

Now how to use the plastic bottle I cant place it
I put the water bottle somewhere on the fireplace while zoomed out. I don't know what it did though.
Ok built a parachute LOL
Made a bow and arrow with needle string stick glue and stone.
where is the glue?
The water bottle does go in front of the fireplace (on the floor) but you may have to first 1. Look up when you are in the fireplace to see the escape route or 2. See the instructions in the books or both.
Glue is on the right side of book shelf. Cannot find cloth to make parachute.
Still cant place the bottle $#!@$

faltu click on one of the first redbooks to see parachute instructions. I think you have to do that before you can use glass shard next to the PC

What is the trick to placing the bottle - I can't seem to do so at all
oh nvm. i thought i had to do something to the mousetrap to get to the hole.

I've only managed to get to the final bottle view once so far, that was before I'd used the pencil case so the parachute went up the chimney but I didn't. I reloaded and now I can't seem to get back to that view, I've clicked everywhere! Must be a tiny hotspot....
nvm, forgot that I had to do something on the mantelpiece first...
Took me FOREVER to find the red number (on "ramp" to bed). Other numbers:
white is under bed, black is under desk, blue is on alarm clock (doesn't change).
In most cases, you must see the hints to solve the puzzles.
How to finish the game (I think everything else is covered above):
SAVE YOUR GAME
parachute = cloth (glass shard on shirt on bed) plus thread plus opened pencil case
arrow = needle plus glue plus stone
bow = curved stick plus thread plus arrow
climb fireplace (left side)
use straight stick on dumbbell
place parachute in fireplace
shoot with bow

It's veeery slooow loading, but then a white screen «for ever» - remember having same difficulty with the previous one (mummy). Not a cache prob, but my old geezer of PC has Alzheimer's (loosing more & more memory,)...!

Out after a break, but with a lot of peeking in the hints & even video walkthrough (I didn't want to kick the bucket again, LOL!)

There are a couple of ways to die in this game, so be sure to use the SAVE feature!
To look at the about item view of an inventory item, click it in the inventory box and then the right side of that inventory box
Get the RED BALL OF STRING from right of the robot (next to the yellow ball)
Behind the yellow string, there is a cabinet – click right of that cabinet to see beside it
Get the WATER BOTTLE
Still zoomed in, click to the right of the cabinet to see behind it
Get the MEMO
Go left
Zoom under the desk to see the white chess number (varies by game)
Go left
Climb inside the fireplace
Get the CURVED and STRAIGHT STICKS from the bottom of the fireplace (middle and right side of the log holder)
Look up and see a potential way out through the chimney
Click left of the fireplace and you can see bricks you can climb, but don't go up there yet
Go left to the bed view
Zoom under the bed to see the black chess piece number (varies by game)
Click left of the end of the bed and you will see a mousetrap
DON'T CLICK ON IT!!!
Instead, click inside the mouse hole behind and to the right of it
Get the TWO STONES
Click further into the mouse hole to find the watch
Use one stone on the watch to break the face and take the GLASS SHARD
Back all the way out until you see the robot and the bed again
Click on the blue book to zoom in
This is the red number (varies by game)
Click the robot or the top of the bed to get him to climb up
Zoom on the computer screen to note a lot of colored letters
Click on the yellow and white pillow to look right
Click the pillow again to move it
Get the SECOND MEMO
Still facing to the right, zoom on the alarm clock
Note the blue stripe
Back up off the bed
Turn 2 times to the desk scene
Click on the bottom drawer of the desk
Enter the solution (see below for the answer)
The bottom drawer will open
Click that drawer to see inside
Get the KNIGHT MEMO
Open that memo and then click the about item view of it to see the back
Solve it and then click the second drawer and enter the code
Get the NEEDLE from the drawer
Click the top drawer and enter the code
There is nothing in that drawer, but all of the drawers are open and you can climb to the desk top
Get the BLUE PENCIL CASE from the desk's top
Click the ruler to make a bridge to the bookcase
Click the bookcase to cross over to it
Click the second red book from the left to learn how to make a parachute
Click the 4th from the left to see a diagram on a wind machine
Still on the bookcase, click to go right
Get the ADHESIVE
Go all the way left and down
Turn 2 times to the bed scene
Climb on the bed again
Now that you read the book on the parachute, you can use the glass to cut the tee shirt on the bed for the CLOTH
Open the about item view of the red string
Use the glass to cut the string
Open the about item view of the cloth and add string to it
Open the about item view of the pencil case and click the zipper to open it
Add the open pencil case to the about item view of the parachute to attach it
Open the about item view of the curved stick and add string to make a bow
Open the about item view of the needle and add adhesive – now add the second stone for an arrow
Add the arrow to the about item view of the bow
Back off the bed and turn right to the fireplace
Place the bottle at the floor below the fireplace opening (don't zoom in)
You can only place this if you have seen the book's diagram on the wind machine and looked up inside the fireplace to see the opening!
Click left of the fireplace and climb the bricks to the top
There is a weight here and you use the straight stick to move it
If you placed the bottle below, the robot will balance the weight at the edge. If the bottle is not below, he will knock the weight off and you will die
Once the weight is balanced, go left and down
Zoom on the bottle
Place the parachute in the fireplace opening
Use the bow and arrow to knock down the weight
You escaped!!

Bottom Desk Drawer
The hint says PC on it. This tells you to use the colored letters on the laptop screen on the bed. The note under the pillow with the green blob tells you to use just the green letters. Unscramble them to see spoilermousespoiler
Second Desk Drawer

Solution: the paper has a picture of a white knight from chess on it. Go to the chess board by the door and look at it. The white knights are in play. The drawer says left to right, so start with the left white knight – it is in the third column and 6th row. According to the chart on the back of the memo, that corresponds to g7. The right white knight is in the 7th column and 4th row so that would be c1. So your code is SPOILERg7c1SPOILER
Top Desk Drawer
