It's all in Japanese and I don't understand what I'm doing. Found some items and talked to the cats but can't solve this because of the language barriere.
The clues I've collected look like the murder weapon (sculpture), a button w/ thread attached, a squiggle on a painting, and a thread or something in the vent.

Apparently there's been a murder
Most of the "items" are pictures of clues
Exception is a gold button
When you click on a door (or an arrow pointing to a door) you get a map to go to 4 rooms; right most has 2 scenes
Tried combining things but nay. Tried each item on each cat. Guess I'm stuck, though there must be something to do.
I seem to have missed something -- have 5 pictures and the button and 1 empty slot in inventory/
Showed picture of hair in vent to guy on far right and got picture of a key being pulled down from vent
Now inventory is full.
And guy on left has disappeared.
@Puzzled - how? That's not happening for me.

You mean the cyan cat who's pointing at the door?
@just1 - I showed each picture to each cat and he was the last one.

Correction -- guy on RIGHT
Ah... show him the white paper first; his eyes close. then the other pictures and finally you get the scenario w/ the key.
Started over -- when I showed the cat on right (blue/cyan) the BUTTON, he blinked, then got the picture of the key.
Click him again and he disappears.
Then click on him again and he vanishes...

Out but I don't know why! Show flower painting to the pink cat, then click through the scenario to the end. Don't understand, but maybe the cyan cat was the culprit.

For me, I showed red sculpture to pink cat -- she cries. Blue cat appears to have been an undercover operative -- he showed up in a red blazer and no glasses at the end.
Well, I'm playing again and now it's not working for me either...! Probably there's an order to it...

I don't even have Japanese on my page instead I have:

random clicking ...now it works blue cat appears in red jacket ....END dont ask cos i dont know what i did was clicking too fast...strange.
Tried replay -- for guy on right, show him the first 5 pictures and the button (apparently in any order) for last picture.
But now, can't get pink cat to do anything!
Here's how to start the game:
Start with white assignment sheet
Click blue box on reception desk to get a map
Click door for map
Middle room
- click red sculpture, then tip to get pic
Right room
-click flower picture, then lower left corner to get pic
-take button (lower right)
-right arrow
-click vent, then crack/hair to get pic
-show all pictures and button to cyan cat to get key pic
- click him again and he dissappears
Next is fuzzy
- You may have to talk to all the cats
about all the items and maybe do "about item" on at least one picture. Then go to pink cat and (if you're lucky) she'll eventually confess. Last time, I clicked on her twice with the murder weapon.
Why again place here completely incomprehensible game?
7 days without a decent game makes one weak.
If there's nothing new that's challenging, go back and do an old game by a gamemaker that you enjoy. Yesterday I did an old Tomatea that I had played before, but I had forgotten some of the puzzles.
