found key behind some grass, one up one left
can't beat the cactus with sword or hammer...
I'm in... defeated cactus, now need 3 number code and something for slots in machine...

found a dark green shield and another key, defeated another creature, but got nothing for it...
oh, nevermind. I was promoted to level 4
three digit code is from mushrooms. Look around behind tufts of grass in that room for equation

I have defeated the evil duck and am out. Anyone need help?
oh, if you go back and shoot an arrow at the second target, you get a box with a medicine leaf in it use green bow, green shield, and heal your wounds during battle with the leaf

talking to myself? will have to try again when someone posts more hints on how to defeat eveil duck...
once i defeated the metal one i was able to kill the duck. make sure you have the green bow and arrow and green shield. i used the medicine before the last life i had.
Thanks 5cf! I must have been using meds too early
and I had the wrong shield! Hadn't burned that last bit of grass to find the dark green one..... thought 'tree shield' was green enough lol
