stuck with can of soup and buttons. Threw potatoes down well cabinet key and read book with number clue for box in cabinet,but cannot figure it out

@AlpacaKay you need to open the can. You do that with a screwdriver you get from opening the wooden box in the cupboard. Don't look at the number clue for that - use the shape in the book.
and for wall code look at book " one week" is important

Very easy but now I'm stuck at the Code. DEATH? DMY?
DMY = day month year (look on book and don't forget "one week")
Stuck in the same place samtdunkel... tried 2952 (date of death in the well, like in the black diary, but doesn't work. What am I doing wrong?

one button behind boxes in cb, one on the well, one in wall (after using crow bar)

im totally stuck have 4 buttons,tin chicken stew and screw driver used on pannels but they still on de wall
and wheres this so called crow bar no one has mentionted where it was
i think shaz you hav to open soup can with SD ..again throw soup in well then you will get crow bar (if i rem correctly )

Trick or treat through…
1. Get red coin from potato sacks.
2. Turn right and have a look in the brown book. Page 3 is important – date of death is 2nd of Sept. 1952 PLUS 1 week 09.09.52. Also there is a hint, that food in well gives a reward. Next page shows a pattern. Note this. Last page is a translation Numbers to symbols. Aou need that later. BTW The tall cupboard is locke as usually.
3. Turn right and take red coin, all bricks and board from well. Zoom on well and get 3rd red coin. Remember the hint, and put the potatoes (they are already in your inventory – you went in the cellar to get some…) into th well. Reward is a key.
4. Turn right and note a rusty panel.
5. Turn left and open tall CB with the key. Take one tin can of chicken stew. Move the upper boxest o find the 4th rde coin behind. Click brown box on upper board. To open, remember the pattern in brown book. Looks like T_ Click upper row 1,2,3 – middle row 2 – bottom row 2,3 and then yellow button. Hooray – you found the almighty screwdriver!
6. Click on tin can and use SD to open it. Food in well – sounds familiar! Zoom out twice. Turn right and put can into well. Take the crowbar. That might come in handy.
7. Back out and turn right. Crowbar and nailed shut panel. I have an idea! Remove boards with crowbar and recover a save.
8. Hints are „DEATH“ and „dmy“. Remember the story in the brown book? Whats the date of death? Right – 9.9.52. Translate the numbers into symbols. Click the first and second symbol 9 times, the third symbol 5 times and the last symbol 2 times. Funny, isn´t it. Take key and don´t forget to take the last red coin. You´ll need it!
9. Zoom out, turn right go into the passage. Watch out the spider HUH!!! Don´t be scared. Zoom on door and use key on panel.
10. Put the 5 coins into the 5 slots, hear a click, and open the door.
11. Lucky man – you escaped!
