Once you were inside you had second thoughts and went to reach for the door only to find that the door is locked! I have the screwdriver (used once), a purple gem, a bowling ball, a lighter with no fluid, a paper with a hint, a bottle for orbs... and no key !

Hint for ABCD dials is in the library bookshelf.
@raasti look the numbers from the library and use only A, B, C, D on the box in U
raasti go to H and click on the books on shelf middle of room for clue. WHERE IS THE PURPLE KEY???

purple key was in the dirt, took me forever to find the hot spot, but still love these games
can't find gold key
I just cannot get into this game. It is way too frustrating. Why put the shop behind a locked door? There are too many items to find and things to figure out before getting the map. I cannot give low stars to a Self Defiant game just because it is frustrating to me and I can't finish it. :-(
However, I ran across this site yesterday and immediately thought of Self Defiant.

I know, Zoe. I have wandered around and finally found the red key, opened the door, put the bowling ball on the organ and got a very useful gem. I have not seen any candle or candles that need to be lit and my break is almost over. It is just too much for my last remaining brain cell. I may POP over here tomorrow and see if there are more comments. At least I can get this far quickly and get stuck looking for candles. :-D
Oh and P.S. Thanks Self Defiant for another lovely game. I know it will get better if I can ever light my candles.

4red3s - Click on the left wall panel in the church room where there are all the benches (pews?). There's a hot spot in the big panel towards the middle of the left screen. Light the candles, and then click on the fleur de lis symbol to get to the shop. Good Luck!
Don't forget to put the alcohol you got with the bowling ball into the lighter!
I just went back and see that it is about an inch away from the left edge of the game, right in the middle of the screen, if that helps...

I came back. It is REALLY hard to "abandon" a Self Defiant game. I found the candles. I thought it was a blank wall. I moused over the spot you said an TA DA a little hand icon appeared and click - miracle of miracles - CANDLES - two of them. I lit those things and FINALLY - the Shop that sells only 3 things. I bought two of those things right then and there.
Halallua - I finished the GAME! Thanks Zoe for not "abandoning" me! :-D
Now I would not be a good EG24 "member" if I did not help a fellow gamer in distress!!!

You start in a hallway. the EXIT is behind you.
You need a jar to collect the orbs, so...
Go up.
Room I
------
Click on the red cabinet for a LIGHTER.
Ahead is the SILVER KEY DOOR.
Go right.
Room J
------
Note the vent (lower left) that is screwed shut.
Right is the GOLD KEY DOOR.
Go up.
Room P
------
Pick up the SACRED JAR to hold your orbs.
Ahead is the GREEN KEY DOOR.
Go right.
Room Q

Pick up SCREWDRIVER from the table on the left.
Go left, down, left, and right.
Room F

Note the numbers above the lanes in the bowling alley: 24, 17, 26, 12.
Pick up the bowling bowl.
Go left twice.

Right is the RED KEY DOOR.

Take the paper with a color hint from the table.

You should have enough for a MAP and a SACRED BOOK.

Use screwdriver on the vent for a BLUE GEM.
Go to P.

Use green key to go to T.

Click on curtain on stage for "Nothing on the screen."
Go right.
Room U

Click on the grey box under the chair.
Set the dials according to the hint from the library (A==9, B=7, etc...) for a GREEN GEM.
Note the colored dots on the top shelf.
Move each bottle to put it under the color indicated on the paper hint (red bottle goes under green dot, etc...) for a SILVER KEY.
Go to I.

Use knife on suitcase label for a GOLD KEY.

Click on pipes to zoom in.
Set the valves to match the levels on the windows clue to get a RED GEM.
Go to D.

Use flashlight (lower left) to get WHITE GEM.

Click on screen to to see CARDS HINT.

Click on the books in the order listed on screen for a YELLOW GEM.

Click on the right latch to open the book.

Collect the EXITY KEY.

Wow! Finished this one with only 3-4 hints off this site and before I even got to the posted walkthrough. That is almost unheard of for me. Must be easy game. Good one though!

Sadly, I almost agree with Blom. It was a great game but somehow familiar, too familiar :-). Not that I didn't enjoy it since these spooky ones, this one wasn't as spooky as some, are very very nice. Nicer than most escape games. So thank you very much SD. And White for the wt. And others for clues which I'm only too happy to consult.

I am sorry that Blom and Kate don't like these games any more. I just have to add my two cents here - please, please, Selfdefiant, don't pay any attention. I do hope you realize they don't speak for anyone else but themselves! I LOVE your games, and believe that you put your heart and soul into making them and making them have different twists and turns to each one!
I will continue to play your games and rate them with five stars for as long as you ever make them!!!! Please don't let some sour grapes spoil it for the rest of us!
