Thanks Zoe, I am used to hearing things like this from a few players. While making this game I spoke to my wife, asking what I could do to make the games different and better. She said that changing the game would throw people off. Most of us like things that are consistent. I agree with that. Thank you to everyone who enjoys my games, I do try to make each one different in as many ways that I can. If they were too much different they wouldn't be mine.

Your wife is infinitely wise - and very correct!

What a fantastic and completely absorbing game. Just needed a hint for the pink jewel - thanks Gabi!

Great game, thank you SelfDefiant!

SD, I love that I always know certain things about your games. You change up some details from time to time, and that's enough for me.

Great game. I almost made it thru the entire thing without any help. Was very proud of myself until I realized I had written down a wrong number for 8 digit box and could not find the pink gem. But I was close! Thanks SD

@ hairbone the movie in x, was it to count the flashes? because if it was you got great eyes, i would not have figured that out at all,to old for that small detail stuff. but that's for the solid answer

@ hairbone were the flash's from the projection the number of sides of the cards? either i missed something or you got great eyes. to detailed for my old eyes so thanks for the direct answer

opps might have helped if i looked at the 2nd page

Excellent game - thanks SD!

Hi Selfdefiant,

Thank you for responding.

What I would like to say to all of those slamming a little criticism: look back to the comments on the Spooky Place game based on pictures/setting provided by Sabine - these comments were raving and encouraging because that game, the setting and the riddles and spoils provided a change from the norm.

In fact, they - or so I read them - encouraged SD to change his ways. If I were Mrs. SD, I wouldn't be so sure that smoe change would throw people off... I think it would be welcomed.

However, I do agree that it's hard to tweak a proven format. Hard to keep all customers happy. Hard to always be inventive and inovative and creative.

And so I salute you for providing excellent games week upon week. Keep up the good work. I might be playing or taking a break and who knows what you'll be able to dream up in the meantime.

Kate

I finally managed to leave the asylum after almost 45 Minutes with only cheating twice (Screwdriver and pink gem). Most of the time I waited for black rooms to get lighter. Movement is also very slow. I seem to be the only one with this problem. I'll start the computer again.
Thanks SD for the game. Dont stop making them, please.

Finally made it aoutof the asylum after almost 45 minutes. Most of the time I waited for rooms to get light and klicks to provoke something. As nobody else mentioned dark rooms it must be my computer. :-(

Thank you SD for the game - please dont stop creating them.

I didn't realise there was a second page, so i wrote a second post. Is it possible to delete a comment?

Great game! Selfdefiant's games is basically the reason I'm still playing escape games! And I really liked the greek at the book...

Great game, and I like the greek at the end of the book, (but it doesn't make any sense...)

LOL! I had never heard of an "Escape Game" until I found one of your games several years ago. It got me energized enough to learn FLASH and AS3. I created three and four digit safes, drag-and dropt, twisty dials, colored keys and doors, color safes, and digital locks that require a multi-numeral PIN.
It works well enough, but in the end, I realized that I had only succeeded in creating a copy of Selfdefiant game. I guess it will sit on my HD until the end of time.

Just keep up the great work! I love your games and your style.

Specifically waited to play this until I had the time to take my time. A good choice as it was worth the wait

What a strange conversation on this string. If we see an Ainars or a Tesshi game posted, we know exactly what to expect and are delighted to see them. If someone tries to rip off an Ainars (or any of the favourites) we are quick to shout at them. Why now would having a distinctive 'formula' from Self Defiant be a problem? On a game that you are playing for FREE, nogal!
