used match on candle, candle on paper, gives clue for levers but they don't seem to do anything

Looks like that's all there is to the game :(
Playing again now - yes you can set those levers and leave the room without even seeing the clue - I'll see if I can figure out what all this other stuff is for (including apparently dead body!)
How did you leave the room? I've tried the door several times with no luck.
@Peggy if you set levers right, button turns blue and the door turns bright white. If you click on it you're done.
just opened pink box by brute-forcing diamond # (haven't found diamond card) - you get a red ball
ball fits in blue thing but just sits there...?
I did reverse them as well, but nothing happened ....
The button never changed colors. Refreshed and tried again with same results.
I got to where you are, put the ball on the blue pedestal, but now stuck.

btw you don't just 'reverse' the levers, but look at the paper upside down

Aha, paper goes on wall where painting was - shows upside down. So now we can leave without solving the murder?
doggone, larue, I tried putting cards in that slot a bunch of times - maybe I had to do sth else 1st
