Just a red pencil...
Seems to be cool game if someone can translate it
have the drawers and box open but am stuck on the order for 4 buttons which are now operative
for the directions in the corner hint

Thanks Suchun, I had just worked that out with character translation but it doesn't seem to work. Did you make it work>
Clodagh, find red pencil in drawer and keep clicking on wall opening (I had pencil highlighted) until it opens. Turn off light and look around room again
light needs to be off for buttons to work
and out...
Find a remote in box opened with 4 numbers (found under cars when light off)
With light on I can use red pen on screen and see a "red sun"
but stuck to open green drawer?? help please

Looked again at the inside of the lid of the box on the three coloured drawers, and guessed that there must be something in the corner of the room with the smiling fugi creature - found sequence in Japanese - NSEW for button puzzle?

Have done the screen and watched the little men what goes in the right side of the mountain pls?
use code little men on green drawer to find crowbar
use crowbar on big box near the door to find blue thing
blue thing goes on the right of "mr fuji" on a hole and buttons on top work now

Love this game... my only complain is that they didn't keep the direction consistent :)
the direction where the little men were staring should have been east

I really thought it would mean you CAN'T open it with the pencil but need something else...
Rest was quite simple to solve for me...

I only have the red pencil, don't find a wall opening to click at and can't turn off the light. Is anybody around for help?

WARNING: Japanese required for compass points
light does NOT have to be off for buttons to work. I was overly focused on it being off, but really they don't work until the little hole in the side of mountain is plugged (get plug from crate).
