Will just start this game and continue it in an hour or so. Hope I won't get lost inside asylum.

SD in N

N is the room with the piano, left of it there is the map.

YAY!!!

Hi Zazie!!

Oh live SD game! YAY!

Yellow gem in vase in room O.

yellow gem in O

sd used in L for blue key

Yes! This is my favorite type of game!

I think the past several weeks all of these great game creators were holidaying together and now they are all releasing their games at one to make us totally unproductive in real life!
No really, thanks so much to SelfDefiant, Ainars, Esklavos, and Mateusz! You guys are awesome!

knife in B

KNIFE in room B

Hi all, i am stuck in T on box with 5 letters. Richrd Geninson wrote this ?

Who is Richard Gerninson?

Who is Richard Gerninson???

Apparently Richard Gernison wrote a lot of things...

Just going in - strange that two people have given it a low rating.

stuck already.... need clue for 5 letter box and for 3x3 box

no idea where to use the knife

Bat E - I think some people rate low because they're jealous!!

love these games

Hmmmm...the music book on the piano has "Richard Strauss"

In T, we learn that Richard Gernison wrote... a dress :D

Gerninson...can´t find him in google.

two dresses in fact! and neither can be slashed by my knife

So if it's Strauss, it's not like there's much we need to possibly try typing out on the piano... only full operas and stuff, shouldn't take long, couple hours? xD

Only 2 stars for an SD game?

I found a note in O - use the knife on the right-hand glass on the large cabinet.

Piano doesn´t work on box

Hm. never been so soon so stuck in an SD :(

People rating low because they have yet to figure the puzzles etc... basically people who like quick, non thinking, pointless "escape" games which challenge you about as much as Jersey Shore is intelligent programming

Don't know what it means, though

I am assuming we are all stuck in the same spot? Or is someone sailing along and not sharing hints?

Oh, I think it's what notes to play...duh

       Anonymous  9/11/13, 8:10 AM

use the knife in O! Got a little further but stuck again, can't get the letters right. Found a book but don't know how to use it.

cant get piano clue to work

Great find Zoe, this is hint for piano, got green key.

green key!

Great find Zoe, and then use note on piano to get green key.

6# box in H

Book in F has clue and red gem...

Red gem and hint (for box in room A) in book room F

Use clue on box in A

oh wait for me guys ..

Book in F gives hint for shape box and red gem.

Silver key from box in room A

look at the black lines in the clue, not the red.

Silver key in box in A

Lighter in room Q

And again Gerninson lol...

Gerninson is all over the place!

Come on SD - fess up - who is this guy???

So far, candles are in P, G and C

Lighter is in Q (on the window)

Lit candles in P C G so far.

       Anonymous  9/11/13, 8:20 AM

Stick the knife in the cabinet in O to get a note. Assume it's piano clue.

Hammer in room H.
Use the word clue as number code (alphabet to numbers)

Yep smarties...

Use hammer on wall in room I to get purple key.

Which word clue ?

Number box in H, clue in H for number box.

       Anonymous  9/11/13, 8:23 AM

Label on cupboard in H says 'headed'

       Anonymous  9/11/13, 8:24 AM

I ought to refresh before commenting!

Red key in room S in one of the square glass vases.

@small-tools : which word clue ?

I just want to say that I saw these photos used for this game recently on fear.net! If you get a chance, look at all the photos. The mansion was owned by a doctor and was abandoned, and everything was left just like it is!

In room H there is a clue, I think. Up high there is a name plated on a cabinet and the comments say "the label on the door says HEADED" But the box in T needs only 5 letters, so don't know...

nvm, I didn't refresh fast enough ;)

       Anonymous  9/11/13, 8:26 AM

There's a book in F with clue for the box with 'corners' you have to turn.

Gold key in room K

ok guys im stuck only have yellow gem cant go to room B for knife ..wht to do ?

There's a box in H?!?!? I tried for so long... At last.

Another candle is in R... So far, C G P R are lit.

thx S-T for word clue ;-)

Count the letters for the box

I surely can pry a board with a hammer and screwdriver. What more could I possibly need?

Thx s-t and Zoe, got hammer.

clue for the box in T is in V

So far candles in P, G, C, R, D and U

where to use SD ?

Loose floorboard in J

Another candle in D

Yesss Thanks Selfdefiant

Crowbar in E

Richard Gerninson must not be the creepy doctor. He didn't write anything in those rooms.

Blue gem from box in T (anagram the word in V to a girls name).

Crowbar used in J for green gem.

purple gem in W from pressing the cross

Clue in V to use in T

       Anonymous  9/11/13, 8:33 AM

Once you light all the candles, return to C...

Orange gem in G after doing all candles in P, G, C, R, D and U

So 5 gems now, lit a bunch of candles... now I don't know what to do...

Can´t go to V, need gold key.

Make that 6 (got the orange)

White gem in V, in dress pocket

Where is gold key ?

Thanks for the purple and white gem. Have all gems now :)

Zazie, Gold key is in K

Zazie,
In room K

Gold Key was in K I believe.

POP found it in K

Almost out - placing gems now!

put purple gem in P

Someone knows the title of the music in background? seems a strauss opera... maybe the best clue ;-)

purple gem in W, play with the cross

       Anonymous  9/11/13, 8:38 AM

crowbar in E - for the floorboard I presume.

When you have all 7 gems, go to all the rooms to find the places where to put them and then go out below room C.

Great game, thanks for all the help team mates :)

Out!!

Great Game as always SD!!!!

thanks for the great game

How embarrassing! I didn't realize that Richard Gerninson wrote everything! I fixed it, :)

And out finally! 220700 score

Lol, don't fix it Selfdefiant, it's very funny :)

Yes, small-tool, we are all a team!! Love that!

       Anonymous  9/11/13, 8:42 AM

Pink gem in W

Oooo I'm number 5! Won't last long I'm sure! Good luck everybody!
Tricky spots for me:
cross
finding the stupid lighter. I clicked everywhere and am still not sure where in the room it really was (I saw someone posted window).

Richard Gerninson is that annoying guy from School you bump into years later in a bar, who sits there trying to get you to buy him drinks whilst muttering on and on about having written everything >_>

But, but but -- SD -- who IS he???

And out !!!

@Spectre - LOL - I know him well!!!

Places to put the gems :

A => Yellow // D => Green // F => Red // N => White // P => Purple // R => Blue // U => Orange

Btw. lovelygiraffe posted after doing all the candles go back to C.
For me it was going back to G for the orange gem.
Is it different in every game, or depending on the order you do the candles?

haha Zoe you beat me with the score...

Super game, thx Selfdefiant !!

@Zoe, I think you were right, someone's jealous.

I really enjoyed that and only got stuck on the anagram because stupid me was looking for a proper word :D

Having said that, I had to go around a few times looking for things.

A good distraction from a miserable, drizzly afternoon.

ANd out. Thanx Selfdefiant for this game. And don't fix the "Gerninson glitch", it's so fun ;)

Thank you for your help :)

At least, Selfdefiant, now you're here, you can explain us WHO IS RICHARD GERNINSON ?
We all want to know it now ;)

       Anonymous  9/11/13, 8:48 AM

Place for purple gem is quite well hidden - put in bookshelves in P.

       Anonymous  9/11/13, 8:49 AM

Good game. Apologies for echoing others' clues - I didn't want to see what was written before in case of spoilers...

No worries Smarties... Better too much clues than less ;)

CANT GET THE SUNUS CLUE RIGHT
PLS HELP

I think lovelygiraffe meant go back to C so you can go down and out the final exit doors, maybe...

Second run through and I get first on leaderboard apparantly! Yay! xD won't last, but still...

       Anonymous  9/11/13, 8:53 AM

nikki - it's sunAs - think girls' names.

Nikki - Try SUSAN

THANKS

SD I LOVED this one! When I saw the photo set for this location on another site, the FIRST thing I thought was "Wow! These would make a great SD game!"

       Anonymous  9/11/13, 9:19 AM

The screwdriver is well hidden in N !

       Anonymous  9/11/13, 9:22 AM

I used the screwdriver, the knife, the blue and the green keys. I'm stuck with the HEADED hint and "end." in the book.

@pdgph: In room H is a 6-digit-box. Use the HEADED-hint there: A = 1.....

       Anonymous  9/11/13, 9:47 AM

Thank you Anja ! I didn't see the 6 digit box.

Great game and great music :) (usually I shutdown the music during the game, this time I listen it) Thx Selfdefiant :)

where is the red key

News article about the house:
Creepy Doctor's House

Thank you for this great game Selfdefiant. Loved it.

@Tamara B : red key is in room S

where's the purple gem in the book case?

Thank you SelfDefiant for another great game. You rock! :)

Also, thank you everyone for your helpful hints, as always. :D

Tamara, you have to put the purple gem in the bookcase when you have all the gems

       Anonymous  9/11/13, 11:56 AM

An SD is always enjoyable and much appreciated but I was a bit frustrated with this one - I missed the orbs - being a bit OCD about those! Also missed the benefits from them - ie the crystal that made moving around so easy. Not so bad as not such a huge game. Little niggles I know - still had fun :) I guess I'm acting a little spoilt - always expecting every SD game to surpass the last....

great game Selfdefiant.....missed the orbs, tho lol

If you google Richard Gerninson, this page is the only result. lol

Another great game, SD!
This one was a little more challenging for me. I needed to go to the comments for help this time.

hope someone is still here. where exactly do you use the screwdriver? someone above mentioned to use it in L but only two hot spots there and they don't do anything

brin3cm: I used the SD in the room with the creepy doll sitting in a chair. I think that is room L, but I used it on the front part of the seat of the chair to the left (under the left arm rest)...hope that helps!

Great game
Thanx Selfdefiant
More difficult than most Needed hints

Self Defiant, is Richard Gerninson your real name? Or a relative?

This comment has been removed by the author.

Soozn, I take it you found the hammer?

THAT WAS AWESOME!!!! So sorry I couldn't play live with everyone though! Wow, what a challenging game!!

Thank Selfdefiant for another big game

Thanks Selfdefiant for the game. Thanks people for the hints, specially Jo-Ann and heinzi about where to find and where to place purple gem.

someone should make a Wikipedia page for Richard Gerninson LOL

SD - Absolutely love your games especially the asylum type but going through them too quickly now, perhaps add / change the puzzles or another huge map would be great, cant remember the name of the last one but it was great.... Janice

Excuse me, and thank you for the excellent games.
