Stuck with a flashlight (that needs battery but I don't have any money to buy some), a key, a board and a note, can't go all the way left because I die everytime

For me, it worked like this:
Ghost in shop told me, what to do.
To pass monster hornet, I went slowly forward by clicking bottom right corners of the 2 houses.
I got the blue bag with food in the first house, on the left under the white desk.
With key from table, you can lock house.
ups game over..
got a bag, a key and a flashlight fron into the house and a memo and a board from outside
alpha. I keep getting told in the shop, "hide and move from a monster". I dont know how to. Help please. Thanks.

The board will tell you how to cross turtles.
Found a crowbar top scene with turtles.
Find crowbar & binoculars in turtle scene.
And binoculars.
what turtles? I think i am missing something obvious. lol. Thanks for the help alpha. I will try again in the morning.
Look with binocs at tree shadow for PW for scale in house.

Once you get past the monster and turtles, you can pass back and forth through the scenes without having to worry about them. Shopkeeper now tells me he/she wants an old book.
Turtles are past giant hornet. To get past him, click the bottom right corner of the house closest to you, and the family will hide (only works if you talk to shopkeeper first). Then click the corner of next closest house, then next scene.

Now I'm in front of a locked gate, the hint to open it is weird

Ah, died again. Once you acquire map, don't go further without batteries for the flashlight. No idea how to get money, though...
You can go further without the light, just follow the map and the board on the right of the scene (so go left)
Oh, weird, I must have read that wrong. For some reason, though, now that I've restarted I can't use the binoculars on the tree. Not sure if I'm going to bother with another go.
Of course; silly me, I just assumed green meant go/good. I need to stop that.
Still do not understand how/where to hide from monster. Can go to that screen and monster doesn't move, but the minute I move I die.
i used the binocs and see MAP, but i can't move and what to do with the crowbar, help please

When you get to gate - lines are alphabet - A is 4th letter in password...
thaihoney first you have to go into the shop and click this pink guy, than go back and click lower right corner of the house, than of the second house
password for the gate... i have no idea

After opening alphabet gate, find safe code in house.
Now you have money, so get batteries (shopkeeper still looking for old book...).

i die in the house, if i will open the safe, have PW from window, this game is weird..
I still haven't used the bag of food, the rope and the sickle, in the next scene after the maze they are looking for a child but can't do anything there
How do you open black safe in house ? I can see the hint on window, but when i am clicking safe i am dying.
Same problem ad Castiel. Used the binocs to see the clue. Got lost, loaded game and can't use the binocs anymore.

you must click between houses and only the first 2 houses
I could only use the binoculars once but don't need the password after using it so, can't you guys open the scale thing in the house with the password MAP?

Zazie, I think you have to do things in order. First open white cb on the left. Suddenly I could see the clue on window and zoom in on safe. (got money)
I'm out, finally found the kids and the book, couldn't do anything with it as I could get back to the previous scenes, but I'm not starting again. Sorry for the ones with bugs.

I had to start over too. Game is a bit buggy. I'm now in the scene with the lost kid. Cow says go West 4 times. He means click W on the compass 4 times. At first I was walking West and got lost.
Oh great, and now the batteries of my mouse are empty. (IRL)

To find kids:
go right, then forward, then cut grass with sickle at right side to move on.
From scene, where you found knife & rope.
Wifi just went down here. I hope I won't have to start all over.
I guess you are dying at the safe because you don't need the money yet. It is important to do things in order! Unless you read the "We should get some money" (to buy the batteries) you will keep dying when you open the safe.
I wonder if there are three ends. First end is with the book, second with the map after giving book to shop ghost and maybe a third after finding a treasure that is marked on the map??

I read "We don't have money" when I click on batteries. Where did you read "We should get some money"?

Well, actually it says "We have to buy a battery"...
When I tried that I read only:
" Nothing is seen. A flashlight is in a house. However, we have to buy a battery".

Did you ever lock the door of your house? I always wondered why I did that. Maybe the safe thinks you are a thief?
After getting the map, go back to the big tree where you saw the map clue. Use rope to climb down and get the treasure.
I too have run into the "insta-kill" problem. This must get fixed first, otherwise this will only make me lose myriads of precious nerves.
I kept running into this problem where the safe keeps going off. I seem to have gotten past that by 1) do not pick up the flashlight until you open the cave and status says there's a flashlight in the house, and 2) always lock the door every time you leave.
I keep dying to the safe bug (?) also. It's dumb to have a game you can save but if you get to the point where you pick up the flashlight early and save the game after you have no way to continue on and have to totally restart. Ugh, one star. I usually like these games better but this was too frustrating.
Seems I'm starting this game way after everyone else! Stuck at green tree outside cave entrance. Have bag with for, key, x/o paper (used), paper showing trees and family, flashlight, Monster in shop wants book. What to do next?

I tried all the tips given in the comments, but still kept getting killed at the safe. Finally I followed the video walkthrough exactly and was able to get past it.
Keep dying when trying to open safe. Can't continue. Too bad.
It's not a bug. You have to carefully lock the house each time when you leave not to die opening the safe!

Opening scene inside house
Get key from table, flashlight off chair and bag with food from the left.
Go down to outside, lock door.
Go left, get memo off rubbish bin, board from under yellow seat, look in shop see batteries, you have no money - there is a monster!
Go left, move family to big house, then small house, go left to turtle scene.
Get crowbar from right. Look at board to see which turtles to move the family onto, move across to left. Look left of scene and get binoculars. Go left
Click on green tree, use binoculars to look at the black area see the word MAP.
(now you can move through scenes without doing the turtle move etc)
Go back to house and put password (MAP) in white machine on the left. Get a map. Shows a Y shape, right on left, green on right.
Go back to leftmost scene, look at sign on the right. The left (red) is the passage. Click this way. See sign on left of grill.
Note there are 26 spaces and numbers in total. It must be the alphabet! Count the alphabet across until you come to the number 1. That letter is "G". (see below for a better description)
Use password GOMA to open grill.
We need the batteries - and money!
Back to house, unlock go in and look at window. There is a number code. use to open safe and get money. Go to shop and use money on the batteries. Put batteries in torch.
Go back to open grill, go in and look to left get sickle.
Go ahead.and use crowbar on the bars and go through. Look at each of the 'headstone' with shapes on. Look at memo and see to go to gap between trees. Click there. Its a grill...and a shape password. Count the number of shapes and use. (1333)
Go forward, the man needs help with the tree. Click on it and then him. get box from pedestal on the right and colour code on left pedestal. Use colour code on box for a key.
Use key on grate at left, see stuck cow, get box from right of large rock. Go left, click at left get knife. Use knife to free cow, cow gives direction clue. Use on the box and get compass.
Go left again, get rope from right side. There are 3 possible directions to go. Use compass which sits on the screen. West is straight ahead, click 4 x as per cow clue. People with missing child, go back to compass. Go right, then forward. Use sickle on grass on the right, go right and see children in hole, use rope then click on plants at left for book. Take book back to shop and use on counter, get map. I can't figure where the treasure is and running out of time, so go back to family with lost child, return child. The End
