Just can't find a place to put the candle holder and candle. Translate the date to 3 digit code,

Of course it was right in front of me, and to the right of the cake

Geez there's certainly a lot of stuff to collect in this one.

a couple of codes ...

- the 4 number clue on top of the large house -> on the door of the house next to the tree

- the RGB clue on the far away door -> on the wall inside the house.

- the GRY clue on the sign -> on the wall inside the house

- the AquamarineBlueBrilliantrose clue on the painting inside the house -> on the wall there
(there's a Wiki page with all colour names, wow).

And for the rest: find your glasses and search around.

Very sneaky xmas ball in right scene on pink flower. The whitish candle does not go on the cake.

can't figure out 3 digit code above door on house we opened. Date does not work there and no idea what to do with the 3 different height colours. Can anyone help?

The date is on the chimney inside the house. 20 April, meaning:
204.

The different height colour.
Doesn't give a number, it's on the other side of the chimney.
The black squares on the wall there. Give them the colour from tall to short, so Aquam-Blue-Pink.
