So far I've found two silver coins and one gold, haven't been able to do much else.

Key in third scene, dark nook

color clues in far right room

I kept trying to light the hammer.

Haha, did the same thing Peggy, found last sneaky silver coin on top of multi colored number box

A lot of going back and forth from one room to another.
And finally exit through the wardrobe.

can't find a hint for the 4 colour code, or 2 digit number

Nice game. It was tricky finding the right thing to break with the hammer to get code for 2 digit number towards the end. I like this game.

@Souless Minion, in the room farthest right, click on the ceiling lights for the 4-color clue.

The 2-digit clue comes from the gold container after placing the jewels on it.
