you can turn the butterfly paper for more clues...
Just finished this on another site, but only with the help of the video walkthrough. For color puzzle, do a mirror image of the paper.
And there are two similar "arrow" puzzles. Pay attention to the shape of the + sign.

ok, I watched the video walkthrough.
I planted the seed, but haven't seen the melon and now it is gone. So I can't get the melon and the arrow clue...
I will quit.

am looking for the arrow clue too; also, in scene 7, on the tree on the far right, I clicked there and a small brown ball dropped but can't pick it up??
The coloured squares made no sense
Had to look @ walkthrough otherwise straightforward
had to give up on a G4K game that colour puzzle on the door was too much
I thought I'd write a WT on this one ... lol ... ehm ... I did finish the game and liked it, but I'll leave it at some hints.
- Keep going back and forth through the scenes, new things appear.
- Click the rod in about item a bit to the left so that it turns into a hook. Use it in the big hole.
That's where the seed goes next + the water in the jar.
- Walk away from the seed ... and back ... and away ... and back again and there's the green melon. Use the knife on it.
- The pumpkin is cut with an axe.
- The 4 colours on the grid : just keep clicking them till they don't go any further, that's their correct position.
