Hotz - I got it pretty easily once I got all the square pieces in the top left, then the triangle...etc...
where is the key?
nevermind - got a key after lighting fireplace
actually that was a key to the cabinet and not the box...still need key for that. Got dagger and letter piece from the cabinet
dagger on painting hotspot in far left room gives 4 digit code
need 1 more diamond, 1 more wooden round puzzle piece and 1 more colored ball - got colored ball hint from word puzzle

found last sneaky colored ball in left light fixture in same room as colored ball puzzle
colored ball puzzle gives last star. Star puzzle gives me first silver cross
ahhhh - I had all the wooden pieces. It's a slider puzzle that reveals a bronze horse. Have rag to wipe it but must need cleaner. All I need is last diamond I guess.
uggh - get all the way to horse and then can't back out of that screen....glitch??? Oh well.
I can't get the twisting 4 shapes puzzle (is there a correct name??)
I can get 3 shapes on correct positions and 2 squares of the fourth shape are swapped....
I give up, it's so frustrating....
on the shape puzzle swap each corner twice...after that its really simple.... took me over an hour to figure it out
Where is the clue for the colored ball puzzle?
Nevermind, got it. I'm somehow missing a diamond.
I found the last diamond on a chandelier in the room with the fireplace I think. where to use magnifying glass?

The magnifying glass is used on the horse after you polish it.
I quit - twice I have gotten to the end and it locks up when yo solve the wooden slider game and you can't back out of the horse view. Don't do this until you have what you need to clean the horse. The rag itself is not enough. Very frustrating!
I never got the polish for some reason which I guess was behind the 4 symbol puzzle which I didn't solve yet...never saw clue for that.
Sorry Graham. I didn't have any freezing glitches, but I did have the cloth and magnifying glass when I finally got the horse statue.
Still missing an ankh / cross. any hints? got the one from the balls and 1 prior to that. dont remember where.
unless it comes from the drawer with the 4 symbols. If that's the case. I can't find that hint.
There is no polish. You need to use the rag on the horse and then the magnifying glass, then you can solve the shape puzzle for the key.

I admit I quit because of the square/triangle/circle/octagon puzzle - loved it up until that part
Me too. The 4 shapes is a great puzzle but I couldn't get it. Also when you have a "POP" moment, it's okay to give others a hint. Seeing "never mind I got it" is kind of useless.
Really nice game, very enjoyable even though I will never get out of that museum!
There are always the players who take delight in keeping hints to themselves. That way they get to comment "I'm out ! Look at how brilliant I am, see ya."

But now... What horse? What sliders puzzle?? The only bronze horse I see is in the starting room (where the fire burns). But it doesn't want to be cleaned. %) No sliding puzzle either. All opened spaces are empty. Have only a rag and a magnifying glass in the inventory.

Aha! You meant the puzzle with three lines of symbols. :)
Right, now I'm stuck-"frozen" in the horse view, too. %) For some reason, the rag doesn't clean... (No polish, no water... can't even spit on it. %) )
Yay! Reloaded and was able to pick up that horse from its hiding place. :) After that things went smoothly.
Just tried playing this - was enjoying it right up to the point of finishing the slider puzzle and finding the horse. I had the rag and magnifying glass in my inventory, but it wouldn't let me pick the horse up, or clean it, or back out. Evidently an intermittent glitch.
Shame you can't continue where you left off after refreshing - it took me back to the beginning.
