Chapter Three.
(Look at all clues up close, else they won’t work).
Sweat gushes down his face. Jolly is in trouble again.
"Jahhaames! Jaaahhaanihice! Sohoomethiihiing's wrohoong !"
"Oh my, Jolly! Don't worry, we'll help you out!"
James, Janice and Jolly are at the gym. James and Janice won't let their friend down of course.
But James has to tease him a little too: "you always get stuck, don't you? LOL, remember the Ferris Wheel?"
"Come on, James, this is something else, let's help Jolly out!" Janice looks around, "where's the control reset kit??"
They run to the right. The receptionist is working out as well.
"Youhou've got to lohook for yoursehelf" he says.
At the desk, all the way to the right they start searching.
"Look, an hour-free coin at the chair!" Janice puts it in the inventory.
James works on the old black box with a horn on the desk. Ah, it's an antique telephone! In it he finds a wristband with nice colours.
"Do we need protein?" Janice asks. "I don't know, let's take them, with all this hard work we might". James takes the powder off the shelf. "Let's take the pan with water as well, could be refreshing".
Janice takes the free-hour coin and tries it in the holes in the corner. "YES! Here they belong! Three more to go."
That's encouraging. For the 3 holes on the left they have nothing yet, and the key for the reset kit isn't here either.
"Jolly, did you bring your binoculars!?" James looks at the top of the wall. Two puzzles there.
They study the workout scheme, especially the timeline and go one room to the left.
A bottle with water, but they have the pan already.
“Lol, did you bring the eggs, Jolly?” James remembers finding eggs when they were searching for the football at Jollys’ home. “Stop teasing, search!” Janice wants to hurry up.
There’s a letter safe at the wall, they try the bottle-word and BINGO: a pink button.
Janice climbs on the little stool to look at the triangles on the picture: “They can be turned”, she says. In the meantime James takes one of the eggs.
They hurry on to Jolly. “What a condition you have”. James has to admire Jolly. Wow, his friend really is in good shape.
“Huhuhurryhyy”, Jolly cries out.
Janice takes the green button off the floor.
She tries the buttons on the wall here, “YAY, one more”.
“Look James, do you see that picture? Weren’t you the one who ate two pieces of applepie?”
“Oh come on, let’s search”, this time it’s James who’s being teased.
He tries the timeline on the number safe at the wall and it works!
10 kg!
“Hey, James, what’s on the other side of it?” They study the drawings.
“That has everything to do with the picture here”, Janice explains. “Let’s put it in the correct order as the weight shows.
And a cup is their reward!
They go one more room to the left and find another free-hour coin behind the green ball.
“There’s one behind the basket, do you see that?”.
“Let me try” .. James takes the basketball and throws it into the basket. “Yes, well done brother! Now we have three! One more to go.”
Janice pulls over the towel and studies the two numbers there. Strange.
“Look Janice”, James touches the red dots on the wall, “the colours change, where’s the wristband?”
“First yellow, then purple ..” The safe opens and a boxing glove is in there. “Why is it in a safe?”
The name on the glove says Cassius Clay. “Must be someone important, I don’t know, but perhaps we can use it” James puts on the glove. Feels cool.
Janice takes the gold medal.
They go to the boxing-bag and James can’t resist, he hits it hard.
“YAY, free-hour coin number 4!” Janice quickly puts the coins behind the desk and gets another gold medal.
What to do next?
James takes the pan with water (about item) and the powder, but something is missing.
Then he takes the cup and shakes it. A folded paper falls out.
Janice carefully unfolds the paper. “We had this at school already”, yes, it’s well known.
But, where to use it?
James frowns his forehead “I don’t think it has to do with the information .. I know! It has to do with the triangles, they’re arrows!”
Janice climbs up the stool and sets the triangles. “It’s down, left, down, right” James reads the paper.
Numbers show up.
They are stunned. Where do THEY go?
“Dohon’t you knohow?” The receptionist asks? “Ihin the offihice, ohon high”.
Of course, the dials! This time James climbs up the chair and sets the dials.
Golden medal number three appears.
“I think the medals go here on the left” Janice tries them and she’s right.
“Oooh, look … two more numbers” James studies them too. “And in different colours. Do we have a place to put all four of them?”
“Yes” Janice replies, “here on the wall. Three and four were yellow and green, right?”
And now they have a spoon.
James takes the pan with water out of inventory again and takes the spoon.
He puts some protein in the pan. Janice gives him the egg to put into the pan as well.
James stirs the egg through the protein drink.
A pattern shows up.
“On the wall!” They both scream.
And going to the left they put the number in.
Now it gets serious. Another pattern.
They study this new riddle.
“They only thing we can do is add them per colour” James says, “That’s all there’s left to do”.
Janice agrees, “so, that’s seven .. and six .. and nine, let’s do it”.
They use the number below the antique clock and get the blue ball.
And there, in the safe at the wall behind Jolly, they find the last key!!
“Come on! Almost done!” James runs to the control reset kit and pulls the handle.
Janice takes care of Jolly. My, is he happy this cooper-test is over!
