Numbers on sign relate to letters above them.

Number hint is not good. 600-1324 is -724. For me positive and negative numbers are different.

tautau, try the other way around : 1324 - 600 ......

tautau, number hint alltough is correct, the people lived here from 600 till 1324 . Read once again and think it over ...

I am stuck. where do I use knife? Also don't know what to do with hints upstairs? Roman numerals and big to small clue or circles with dots and can't find a ladder.
Help please?

I am just starting so can't help much.

There is a faint clue on wall above were you need ladder to go down hole, For the bock with symbols.

I checked a walkthrough and my game was not responding right.
Started over and made it out.
The first time the big to small on the roman numerals did not work.

They're not Roman numerals, they're stick numbers. Worked fine for me. Very nice game, lots of fun!

The gold key for the second locked door is behind a sneaky tile in the room with the round slot and the beam of light. That tile really didn't stand out to me, and I wouldn't have figured it out without the walkthrough, so I'm surprised nobody here pointed it out.
