ReplyDeleteChapter 34
ReplyDeleteThe continuing saga of Jolly Boy and his two friends, James and Janice.
All the bad officials ran away, so James and Janice have to search on their own.
Their anger about the wrong accussations is being put into action! So much better.
They run outside .. who knows, this is a strange building.
“James, look! A screwdriver on the street! Let’s open the policecar!”
Ah, Janice finds the first item: a marble.
At the right side of the doors, James opens the panel for a second one.
“We need four clues outside, Janice, nothing here for now. Let’s go inside again.”
“Look at the laptop.” Jolly shows them the way.
They open the list of criminals. “Hmm hmmm, careful, it’s classified.” The deep voice of judge Earnest warns them.
But Jolly, James and Janice can be trusted.
“Jolly, do you have binoculars? Look up high on the brown beam …”
Jolly tells them the order : blue indigo …
“Look, Janice, the same colours on the files next to the judge.”
It’s a left/right clue and opens the panel below the judges’ seat.
Of course, the hammer! James hits the wooden plate on the left and finds a scroll.
No adventure without at least one!
“Let’s go right James, and see where to use this.”
Between the desks they find a first key.
Oh, this is so encouraging!
Janice clicks the coloured dots and sees the height, “write it down, please James? Up high, down …”
This opens the drawer in the other room and they find another scroll!
“Ahaa! The clue for the laptop.” When they see what name is shown they go outside.
Janice climbs up the building and, using the clue she gets a third marble.
They go inside again and take a close look at the clock above judge Earnest.
“Yes, yes, I know”, judge Earnest turns red. “It’s ehm .. a little joke, I like riddles you see ..”
“Heheh, judge, so do I!” James shakes judge Earnest’s hand. The atmosphere has changed.
“Let’s take a look.” James writes down the direction of the small white arrows.
They go outside and climb up the building.
“How to apply it, James?” Janice looks puzzled.
James frowns his forehead …. “I think we have to take the one that’s before the one that’s shown here, so, for instance .. before that black/grey on the left is eh … white on black with corners!”
And yes, BINGO ! A fourth marble.
Inside they study the puzzle at the wall right of the judge.
Hmm, this takes some thinking. James will work on it, while Janice will search on. Perhaps there’s a clue …
In the next room, she looks at the 1234 drawer and notes the colours of the eyes.
“Ah, for the desk”, she mumbles and finds … a gun.
“Oh brother, not again …!” But this is a different kind of gun. Janice opens it to see a colourclue.
In the far right room she takes the law book. What’s inside?
“And another clue!” Janice runs outside and uses the gun-clue up left and the book clue next to the door. Yes! Another key and a box.
“I’m done for now, James, no more clues. How are you doing?”
ReplyDeleteJames and judge Earnest are sweating over that arrow-safe.
“So many possibilities, judge!” “Left and right, my dear James!”
Janice takes out her mobile and calles the developer.
“Oh, THAT simple?? Thank you!”
“The arrow pointing to blue should be blue, the two pointing to yellow must be yellow, and that’s it.” Janice explains.
James and judge Earnest stare at her. “Don’t overthink this one”, Janice warns, “don’t think at all !”
She takes the hook and places it on her box.
“A third key …. what do we do …”
“I know”, the judge says, “on the four robots in the far right room.”
James and Janice use the keys and note the arms of the robots.
Left of the judge they put the levers high and low as the robots show.
“The last marble!!” They cry out together.
They place the marbles on the desk and ….. a sigh of relief, THERE is the lost order.
“Ahem Ahem … let’s get serious now.”
Judge Earnest takes the order and reads out loud …. “A Jolly Boy … mumble mumble mumble … Free!”
Yippieieie!!
Judge Earnest takes off his wig and orders drinks and food.
Then they talk about riddles, did James play Dutchie’s riddle lateley? And oh, what about the Red Luth-site! Does the judge know about morse and braille?
James played every small-tool riddle there is, the judge loved the LinR-one and so many more, too many to be mentioned.
Janice and Jolly listen to the enthousiastic conversation.
They’re happy the bad officials ran away. Never to be seen again.
“Can you pass me the peanuts, Jolly?”
Missed the globe to the right of the front door. Took forever to find.
ReplyDeletecute game
