I'm out too but I still don't know what happened to the magical flowers. I thought their colours should match to that colour hint too and kept clicking the first flower until red but couldn't change them anymore. So I changed them all to red hoping for a kind of reset but that gave me the egg. Did I miss a clue for the flowers?

Kerstin, just take water from the pond. You should have a bottle from first scene.

Shovel underwater? Where do I use it??

Use slingshot and stone on bird above water, then you can go underwater to use your shovel.
