left side of each circle is addition of top & bottom numbers, right side is subtraction
but had to change last number till it worked...

same here ...thought first math is +16 and -4 and so on but its not working
up/down hint is for arrows
amount of pencils is just order 1-4

For the math: There are 2 answers that use the number 1. As you scroll through the answers, use the first 1 first and the second 1 second.

well, that's pretty mean - so I got lucky & wondered, why it d/w for some others...
For math add the 2 numbers, subtract the 2 numbers, for the last one add the 2 numbers then click on the last number til it opens.
