You need to zoom in on arrows clue in floating stones scene for them to work.
crank for gears
Symbols from lantern don't work on box, forward or backwards.
On the board you need to light all the symbols by matching them. I don't know if I was lucky, but mine came right easily.

My only problem was remembering where to input clues, but using tab makes that straightforward.
