Stuck with 3 cards, a steel rod, and red glue?

I must be missing a hot spot somewhere.

Where is the steel rod??
I am stuck with the other stuff too. You can drag the glue on the screen and use it to make a line but that is all it does.

I can't remember (took a break). It can't be used yet, we have to do something to it.
