Very tricky puzzle where you have to get 8 black blocks into place. You need to get the two middle ones into position first.
When I did the 8-block puzzle, it helped me to draw the end configuration on a piece of paper and work backwards for a few moves. Solving it made me feel smart (wishful thinking) :)
Locating elements on the periodic table was much easier, but fit better with the laboratory theme.
So then when we picked up the sodium and potassium solutions and the burner, I was sure we were going to do flame tests. This is when you put a tiny drop of solution into a burner flame, and the flame turns pretty colors depending on what elements are present. Sodium makes a bright yellow flame, potassium makes a pale lavender flame, etc. But that wasn't what we were doing this time...
Overall I enjoyed this game right up until the end, where our business card goal was hidden behind an impossible mermaid picture puzzle. If you get to a point where only 2 pieces need to be swapped, and they are right next to each other, you know it was impossible from the beginning and no amount of clicking and swapping will fix it. Why put this at the end of an otherwise nice game???
The mermaid pic wasn't impossible Rabbit. A nightmare to do, it's true, but I managed it in the end. More luck than judgement though.
