He has been caught and confined in a cell out of suspicion. But the person is innocent and hence, you must try to help the person escape from the confinement and the castle. Get into the castle by finding ways to unlock the gates and release the person from the cell. Solve puzzles and use clues to achieve your mission. I'm stuck. I have a lit torch, a saw that needs a blade, a piece of rope, a coin and a key that doesn't want to unlock anything.

Yes Zu. Used the knife on the tire, burned it and got what appears to be a rope. I was hoping it was the saw blade

How did you get into the next set of scenes. I have a key that won't work
I am left with a saw blade, a rusty pair of scissors and a key (no. 34)...
Maroonclown - It's wire to use on box in scene with '20' puzzle.
Gwyneth - use scissor on leaves in scene with large stone ball.
Use scissors on ivy - missed the hotspot at first!

Ah - 34 is number of key you take from bunch. Keys form colour block puzzle in second scene.

Now I have a cane type of thing I can't use anywhere. Tried to go up the fireplace, tried to move the slab off the concrete box (but I understand there's a crowbar for that later)

Cane is a wand. Use on glowing object in scene with archway ad ivy. Also use on purple block in scene with fire.

No worries - I did exactly the same as you (tried to use on slab etc) before I discovered it was a wand, lol

at the beginning it was pretty straightforward for me, but now it became again «use everything on everything by trial & error»...
(that's why I usually don't play FEG, but now will persevere as I don't like not to finish a game once started)

What a pixel hunt. Chest behind left gate in opening scene.
Resulting to video for pixel hunts. There is a hotspot on pipe above right navigation arrow in 3rd scene. Above where bucket is placed, even though you can see the spot from that view.
Don't light the candles to melt the ice. Use cane instead. LOL. Guess it was a magic field?
No pieces needed to use fuse box, just need to see clue first. Click around everywhere till it works.
Don't use torch to see clue in fireplace, use the oil lamp instead. LOL
Not sign language, count fingers and thumbs (and be a bit creative).
Was expecting a puzzle for the colored tiles at the end, instead it was a silly kiddie tile swap. Disappointing. p.s. No handle needed for sharpening stone.
Love your games FEG they are a challenge to complete at times (most of the time) keep up the good work and thank you.
