There may be a bug in this one. 1 thru 8 clue does not open mushroom circle in 2nd set. They all turn pink, but nothing happens.
what is the name of the beetle you need to spell out?
They are just calling it insect :) I tried scarab, beetle, and others too .
sysin3, I tried it several times and it finally produced a leaf.
I need a tool for the rock where the bluejays are and something for the big hole in the deck. Can anyone help? I can find anything else.

Don't forget to put the pitchfork in the hole in the boardwalk in the scene with 12 colored mushrooms (2 sets of 6).

You need the clue for the 8-mushroom puzzle. It's in a sneaky spot lower left in the scene with 5 blue jays. You may need a tool to open the spot.
Same here Jerilynn, mushrooms do not open.
It took me about four goes to get the mushrooms to work. I think it was when I had all the other leaves and that was the last one.
1-8 worked after using red beetle
We have all seen the clue. zoomed it, went back and zoomed it again. tried these mushrooms 25 times now. NOTHING!

The 8-mushroom puzzle worked fine for me after zooming on clue. Sounds like you may have a glitch - hope you don't have to restart!

as Jerilynn said, use the red beetle in the first set, far right and up scene, on a sign with 4 circles on it. You will get a color clue.

Tried the mushrooms in second scene three times and no go so red x
Mushroom puzzle only works if it's the last leaf collected. That's bad game design.
