LetMeOut, did you not notice the 'Upside-Down Text Spoiler Maker' at the top?
@LetMeOut
Writing a walkthru is great, but you should do it all in one post.
Thanks!
Hi Red Newt, thanks for the suggestion, however, in my 10 years or so of playing these escape games, I find its easier to see a particular part of a walk-through if I am stuck at a certain part, when the hints are all in separate posts; instead of one long post, as it kind of all runs together, and also, I may see a spoiler that I didnt want to see at that point. I am referring to, if I am the one needing the hint and not creating the walk-through. Just my thoughts, everyone has their own opinions!!
Thanks LetMeOut - it's so nice to have someone post actual helpful hints! And I totally agree about not posting them all at once for exactly the reasons you give!! I appreciate your efforts!
Thanks Zoe!
And I always appreciate nice, helpful opinions/comments from you guys, because some people on these can be really nasty!
Thanks for the hints, LetMeOut. Much appreciated.
Good game, thank you FEG.
The reason I made the suggestion is because it is easier for someone to locate the posts they are looking for if the walkthru is in one spot rather than spread across 20 posts. It is also easier to reference if you don't have to scroll up and down a page looking for the exact section you want. In addition, if it is in multiple posts they can be interrupted by non-walkthru posts, which then get missed by the people they were intended for. If you have been here as long as you say, then you remember that happening and you will remember AlphaOmega (great walkthru writer!) saying that those are the reasons he always did his in one post.
That said, your effort is undeniably appreciated, so thanks again!
Most of LetMeOut's comments are not hints, but actual solutions to problems!
Which is what a walkthrough is. That is how things were before game walkthroughs were posted along with the "play this game" link. People gave both hints and solutions, and there were always about 50 or so comments per game. Now, most games don't have any hints or solutions...just a few "thanks for the game" comments. It's nice, for a change, to go back to how it used to be, in my own opinion.
Zoe, my sentiments exactly! Siohbhan, I'm not going to address your comments' specific content, because I see the negativity you post on almost every single game, and don't feel like your input is for the constructive purpose, but only to bash, and if I am wrong, then I apologize. Red Newt, I do see your side and how some may feel the same way as you, and appreciate your input!
thanks super
Well, if you can't even spell my username correctly, there's no hope for you.
I post so many negative comments nowadays because, frankly, most games deserve them.
A former user called Dazz ley ruined this site for those who only want hints and not outright solutions. If you're keen to follow in her footsteps, then so be it.
We will both continue to do what we do... moving on...
Letmeout's comments lost me my interest in this game. Agree with SLS
