ReplyDeleteFor 23 egg, you need to find 7 letters by converting each group three times. The first conversion is to find out what 2d and 2e represent, this should remind you of a famous code to use for the second conversion
Oooh! aaaasa to the rescue again! I've been trying to convert to numbers, but get a horrible group of results including 2 tens. Then I thought it might be baconian, but that seems impossible.

ReplyDeleteminkie - for 26 I used Chrome and was able to download the file by going to source -> right click on pic name -> save link as. But you might want to save it not as a pic but as the format hinted by level text :)

ReplyDelete19 I had difficulty with different (though only slightly different) values at first. You don't need a colour name, you need three letters. Convert from A**** C***.

ReplyDelete23 Blue numbers across the top. Convert to letters using the same code as you used on 19. This gives you a message, suggesting what you may (not) use to convert the numbers in pink. Another numerical system is needed to convert them.

ReplyDeleteminkie - yes, after you undo the twirl in the pic you should be able to see a word and a cipher text. Convert the cipher text as hinted by that word, no granny needed.

ReplyDeleteFor level 41, the level page shows a web page but you don't know its source code so the first step is to make them yourself. You might start with the source code of lvl 38 first half, and you only need to change the 3rd and 6th line and keep the rest. Next is to pick letters from the source code you made using the pairs as coordinates but count a bit differently as you did on lvl 38 part 1

ReplyDeletePatty. I needed serious help on this level. My bookmarks are a bit all over the place, so I hope this is right. If you are on the page with a broken thumbnail and T** E****** underneath, view the page source. There you will find an image name, Save link as ... but change the extension to another one as suggested by the text T** E******. You will then have a file you can open. This will get you one step further on.

I went to this site for help: https://base64.guru/converter/decode, but I had to do some fiddling around and repairing there before I got the answer.

ReplyDeletemmm Not sure what's going on. We both know what the image name is. When I go to the page source and right click on imagename.jpg, I get the option to "save link as". I select this option and change the format from jpg to "all files" and I change the image name from imagename to imagename.txt. Click save and it downloads to my computer, as quite a lengthy text file which is mostly apparently gibberish.

ReplyDelete45 By BFing the answer to O, I've reached the real end without ever opening h, m, t or y (I'm sure t and y are dead ends). Do I need to open h and m to find the real answer? I've been trying to do what I did on level 14 without success and I've got a nasty feeling the real answer lies in 45h. And I'm not sure if I've used the hidden text in the spreadsheets.

It's all about the music info. There should be a better way but I did it by changing the suffix of the music file into txt and opened it with Notepad program. After that, I found the answer in the first line of the text.

Is it relevant that the side length seems to be a square number? Feeling dumb here because I think it's something I'm not seeing rather than something that is technically difficult.
40: I have found 2 flags with numbers. Is the 6th title reference to men's soccer?? Are there more flags to find? Or do I need to know who was 6th when the other 2 countries were #2 and #5? Or am I looking for a soccer player who were those respective jerseys? I'm all over the place here, and having 0 luck.

All I DO know for certain is that I used pairs 2,3; 6,7, and so on as you have them. I went wrong somewhere so my first and last pairs of coordinates didn't work, but by that time I could see what the answer should be.
ReplyDeleteJust rechecked this Patty. For letters 2-6 I got the correct letters by counting everything using the coordinates you mean. For the first letter, I seemed to need count just letters (though this is clearly my mistake). For the last letter, heaven only knows. But this may give you enough to piece together a word.

ReplyDeleteYou need to know the number of cells to be moved, and the direction of moving. The hole doesn't move. The white space then becomes the hole.

However, while I've been trying to solve 49 (and trying to cheat!), one of my searches brought up an image that will help you out. I'll see if I can find it again.

ReplyDeletePatty, you need to be organised and make sure you have used all your answers as possible passwords on all unopened files (I missed one duplicate which held me up for a long time). For the two colour jpg, do you mean the green orange one? If so it's about numbers of letters from those two colours.

Patty, I think you have solved the spreadsheets without realising it. the xy simply refers to the row and column.

ReplyDeleteOn second thoughts Patty, perhaps you opened f using some password I never found and got that weird result. Have you used the asterisks from your spreadsheets. It is straightforward (you need to scroll right as well).

In retracing my steps, should I skip the deadends? I don't know what to glean from these steps. So far I haven't gotten anything feasible.

ReplyDeletePatty, I think some space got lost when you pasted that. The answer is in what you have pasted, but there are 3 unwanted letters before the actual answer. Look for a familiar extension.
ReplyDeletePatty, I had opened the file in word where there was a space before the answer unlike in textedit. Doesn't matter though, I'm sure you will find the answer with what you've got.

ReplyDelete47. What to do? I got the RGB values of all colors, but can't translate that into anything. Counted the number of each color which gave me decibekk, not very useful. Must not be approaching this correctly. Hints on nord mentions "the source of the page you're visiting & the answer is there i swear." I must not be on the right page??
