ReplyDeletei liked this game. definitely killed some time and it too complicated to just jump right in.
a couple of things i didn't like: 1)the ending (or at least where it ended for me) is very frustrating. after all that work, no way to revive?
2)couldn't use some of the items or locations. maybe i just couldn't figure it out, but from other boards it looks like nobody's been able to figure it out. maybe a bit too puzzling?
you puzzle solvers should play and help crack some of the trouble spots :)

ReplyDelete@ laurel: you can try save & load... but if you haven't saved... then you cannot revive your pers. Anyway it seems you have to complete the full final stage in a row.

To me is the same. Lots of stuff that you cannot use. Keys, for instance, to open doors. But there are no doors to open. About locations I guess the magic space is the final stage...
when you are in sparky fields and you go underground.. i tried clicking each lever in each combination possible and to open the the stone door with both keys i have and the magic stone... any other ideas?
ReplyDeletejoan, yeah i saved and loaded a lot, but that last stage is a killer--literally! and i'm not so sure the magic space is the final area. i read somewhere else that both the water area (can't remember what it's called) and the magic space are puzzles to be figured out. well, i figured out the water area, but i just don't get the magic space. i dunno...
ReplyDeletematthieu, to open that door, you should have your sound on. it will only take one lever, and you will hear the sound when you pick the right one.
and what exactly are the magic stones for? i keep thinking they're the key to the magic space but can't use them for anything!
Mmmmm... I know the final srage is hell. I've needed at least lvl 40 to pass it. And I have o recognise I was really lucky with the final boss. However, above lvl 45 I hadn't any problem with my assassin, currently lvl 62.
ReplyDeleteAbout the Magic Fields... maybe you're right. I couldn't puzzle anything about them. The magic stones should be the key to open the portal in the Saprky Fields. I think they're required to open that porta.
I'm triying now with a warrior, currently lvl 22. I found it a little bit harder. I like the assassin style: direct and effective. In addition, I found the warrior more expensive. You need more items (the shield) and you use much more (health) potions, so you're paying all the time.
My two cents for today.

ReplyDeletei was able to goet the magic mirror piece in the underground are.. now i am trying to find piece 4 and 7.. im guesesing i have to go to the magic space but how do you get there? the stones arent doing anything?
also is there anything behind the dragon? in his cave?
i started with the knight it is expensive but i was able to beat the dragon easily with level 35, that where im at now until i see how it does against the final boss,,,

ReplyDelete7th part is in the Swan Lake. You walk across the water to get it... so figure it out. Not that hard to realize...
About the forth piece... I can't remember exactly. Anyway you get one piece in the Tark Foprest (kill special monster, open the chest), two of them in the Swan Lake (oen by quest, the other by crossing the lake), one more in the Ghost Town Relic (ask the girl, kill monkeys) two of them in the Sparky Fields (one by killing the special monster, the other in a chest inside the secret chamber) and finally you'll get the last one by defeating the dragon.
I haven't needed the Magic Space to complete the magic mirror.
By the way... what's the best weapon you've found?

I've got it by defeating the dragon. I've found some other God's Phantom in the Sparky Fields. I've also found the lvl 10 weapon for the warrior.
For the armors, best items found in the village, gambling for used equipment.
i've only played as the assassin, myself. i didn't like that i had fewer weapons to choose from, but when i started making my own weapons i ended up with some pretty good skills.
ReplyDeletei found a god's phantom, and used it to defeat the dragon, but i can't even get close to the guardian. at level 40 and it's just so frustrating grrrr!
Well, here I come with more info.
ReplyDeleteI DO believe thet Magic Space is the last stage to defeat the Guardian. If you turn on the map when you're in the final stage, the Magic Space appear active (not shadowed) and you can see the danger indicator on it. Besides that, the level of monsters in the last stage is tunned to your own pers. level. I tried with lvl 70 and monsters were from lvl 65 and higher.
To beat the last stage fill your inventory with healing potions and shorcut them into your quick bar.
Heal up yourself whenever you need while facing the "small monsters" in the Magic Space. When you arrive to the Guardian, keep the shortcut key to the potions pressed all the time and face directly to the Guardian. And don't stop attacking him. That's how I defeat that big thing with my assassin.
I don't like using special (magical) attacks. They take much more time than regular attacks for a little bit more of damage. Not a big deal. You can normal attack at least three times for each special attack, and the damage ratio won't be 1 to 3. So it's more effective normal attacking than magics.
And that's all for today. I hope you have better time with the Guardian, laurel.
Has anyone found a way of actually making armor? I have a lvl 14 assassin and she's still wearing the stock armor. No monsters yet have given me anything.

Just weapon, armor and shield if you're a warrior.

Any strategy for the dragon? I'm a level 11 Asassin, and everytime the lightning-bolts show up I die and get transported to the village. I've got all other six pieces...do I really have to just walk arround killing monsters and leveling to beat it?

go behind him and start attacking.... then when (if) he starts shooting eletric go back by the thing that brings up the map and u select where to go... the lightning will not get u there.. (WARNING: if you do happen to accidently go on the map to chose where u want to go you will have to start over)
Is my char bugged?, I cant find the guardian inside the magic mirror Where the heck is he?, ive opened every chest tried to go past every place and still no?, do you have to kill the guys?, I didnt think so but maybe... they are like invincible!.. What do I do once im in that place with those level 999999 plants?, I see all kinds of chests and symbols on the ground...

i was able to get 1399 hp with my lv. 33 assassin. like one of the other guys said, the best way to get weapons is by rummaging through used items. this is the best thing to do for assassins. some jackets could give you +500 hps and added points to wisdom or strength and critical damage, some weapons also give you + hps and mps though +hps are more useful. some of them could give you added attack damage.
ReplyDeleteof course you have to have enough money so stock up on magic crystals especially large ones, and sell 'em all!
usually bluelight spears are the ones with considerably huge added hp points, while golden spears give you huge attack damage. it's difficult to find golden spears with added hp points, but they do exist.
tip on haggling. if you find an item you like, equip yourself with it, and continue rummaging. match stats of bought items with the ones you've equipped with you. if the one you bought doesn't quite match up, don't be afraid to sell it immediately. this gives you enough money to rummage some more and hopefully find better equipment:D

ReplyDeleteit's not really hard to beat the guardian. I did it with a lvl 25 assassin and medium size health potions. There's one point where you stand where a monster will keep turning and use up a lot of mp. i just got there and kept attacking. it worked
